    Beware!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After 3 1/2 years the waterfall(reflector) moved constantly even if the dishwasher was not in use (but powered) . This seems to be a known design flaw of the system and is a very expensive repair which makes the dishwasher practically a write off. Buyers beware, you may get an appliance which is dead right after the warranty runs out. Also the dishwasher cannot handle a full rack, dishes will not be clean then. So 3/4 load is the max it can handle.

Samsung Linear Dishwasher 2 yr life cycle

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

So, we purchased our linear wash model DW80R9950US back in 2021, and loved it. The panel cracked (as reported by several people), and so I was lucky enough to get a replacement part and fixed it myself. Then the linear module just stopped working as we have dirty dishes on the bottom, always. I checked for movement on the bar, but nothing, and I'm not going out and buying earth magnets and fixing something that for $1,000, should just work. Craziness. I gave it 5 stars for the first couple of years service, and 0 stars for the last few months. Looks like the lifespan of a Samsung dishwasher is 2 years - yikes.

Baskets started rusting after 3 years. Bought replacement baskets, spent over four hundred dollars, and none of the wire racks or clips were included. The cost of those parts surpass the cost of a new dishwasher. Consider th3se as disposable appliances when something goes wrong. Customer service is a joke, and we've had other Samsung appliances that were still under warranty and could not be fixed, period. Absolutely no recourse but to re-buy a new fridge after less than two years. Do not buy these Samsung appliances!

Faulty Samsung Dishwasher Caused Property Damage

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

"Faulty Samsung Dishwasher Causes Severe Property Damage and Frustration for Owners" My wife and I were excited to purchase a Samsung dishwasher for our kitchen renovation, but it has turned into a complete nightmare. Shortly after installation, we noticed water damage to our brand new kitchen hardwood floors caused by a leak from underneath the dishwasher. It was a huge inconvenience to take time off work for multiple service calls and hours on the phone with Samsung's claims department. We also had to have contractors come out to pull up and replace all the kitchen flooring. And then, a few weeks later, we noticed that our newly replaced flooring was expanding and discoloring. The dishwasher was still leaking from under the unit. I told Samsung that at this point, we were not interested in another repair attempt. I requested a refund on the dishwasher so I can buy a different brand. I also sent over the contractor estimate to replace our flooring for the second time. Samsung is refusing to refund the faulty unit and pay for the second floor repair. They want us to procure multiple contractor quotes, despite the current difficulty in finding a contractor available. The claims representative has begun ignoring our emails and refusing to escalate the incident to her managers despite multiple requests. It's been months, and we're still living without a functioning dishwasher and damaged floors. We also experienced issues with our brand new Samsung oven range, which required an additional two service visits. Samsung's customer service has been indifferent and unhelpful. We hope this review warns others from experiencing the same frustration and costs caused by Samsung's faulty products and atrocious customer service.

    Leaks - buyer beware

Total junk, I didn't by from best Buy, but from Lowes. The thing leaks, And Samsung will reply to this review offering to help but will then refuse to help saying it is damaged (their tech decided there was nothing wrong with it, despite water on the floor, because it didn't have any error codes). Be prepared for a piece of junk. It is very quiet, So quiet I could hear the water dripping on the floor.

This is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned. In 4 years we've had it, we've had multiple leaks, replaced the pump twice. Now we are having to repair/replace the bottom arm for the waterfall wall. The washing, when it's working is subpar at best.

Don't believe me-- check Samsung boards

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought this just over a year ago and rarely used it. It stopped draining completely and refused to run. Called Samsung. After long long wait on hold they said "sorry, out of warranty. Have service come from 2hrs away." (Think trip charge) Found a local (non-Samsung) guy who couldn't identify the problem. Could be one of two things, each requiring parts. One solution was about $90 and the other about $200, but the second part was out of stock. Turns out the problem was a tiny seed stuck in the drain. It didn't need either part. Spend quite a while researching problems and found this unit is terrible and Samsung won't address these design defects. The machine has several other problems (beside the seed). The door stops opening at the end of the cycle. The pusher tries to open it, but it is too hard to open and the pusher doesn't have the strength. The linear wash arm stops moving. It gets stuck because the sensor is magnetic and loses its magnetism due to the heat. The Samsung boards have some solutions people have tried to fix these, like greasing the door to be easier to open and adding magnets, but they are bandaids that don't really fix the problem. Don't believe me. Go to the message boards and read up on all the problems. I would never have bought this knowing the problems. For a few hundred dollars more I was able to get another brand that cleans better than any dishwasher I've ever had.

We purchased a new dishwasher for our new home. We wanted to get a Bosch (we had one in our old home), but they were out of stock and couldn't give us a delivery date. We had good experiences with our Samsung washer/dryer so thought we would give this one a try. I absolutely HATE this dishwasher. Even trace amounts of food are left on plates and the flexibility we thought we would have (3rd rack) is almost non-existent. Taller items do not fit into the bottom. I wish I had waited for Bosch! I would return the dishwasher if that was an option.

Only lasted 3 years. It started with LC codes and leaks, then it started to trip my AFCI/GFCI combo breakers. Would not buy again. Also, Samsung customer service wanted to charge $$$ before they even attempted to answer questions about the product. The only advice they gave me for free was that I was probably wrong about my assumption and needed to call an electrician to fix my house (built 2020).

      Hello there.

A working dishwasher is needed to clean our plates. Let's go ahead and check some possible fixes.

If you are experiencing any trips on your electricity, check the circuit breaker. When you see one, flip the circuit off and back on again. If it continues to trip, contact an electrician to diagnose the issue. Please check this link for details.

This dishwasher worked fine, but shortly after 2 years of use it stopped working. Samsung only warranties it's parts at that point and wanted to charge a minimum of $389 for someone to come out and see if they could fix it (no guarantee). Would not recommend any Samsung product!! 3 out of 6 appliances for our new home, have been replaced or are defective.

I’m giving one star because zero stars is unavailable. What an expensive mistake I made buying this dishwasher. The first one they gave me was leaking from the door all over my brand new flooring. Although it was inconvenient, they switched it out and brought me another one. That one doesn’t work. Somethings going on and it won’t turn it on. Be aware that Best Buy will not replace the product after one time. They just send you to someone to have it fixed. So I’ve spent over $1000 on a product that I’ve had for over a month and it doesn’t work. I feel like Best Buy should do a better job and helping their customers in times like this. I should be given the option to upgrade to a better dishwasher and not be forced to keep one that is clearly broken and faulty. So if you’re reading these reviews, I hope you will listen so you’re not in the same position I am. I probably won’t be buying products from Best Buy again after this.

This dishwasher lasted 2 years. It looked nice and it was quiet, but it should have lasted more than 2 years. The diagnosis when it died was that it needed a new motor vane assembly. The technician was not surprised. The quote to fix it was $550, and the tech advised that we cut our losses and purchase a new dishwasher - and not this one.

In less than two years it has needed multiple repairs (and not covered by warranty.) It stops opening. They fix it. Then after a bit it stops opening again. Now the automatic cycle will power off the dishwasher after about 15 minutes. They make great phones but I will never buy another appliance from Samsung.

    Samsung dishwasher

This dishwasher is not worth it, I bought it during the black Friday deal they had going on. I wasn't ready to have them installed for witch I thought would be another 6 months, but ended up being a little one a year so they sat all boxed up for little over a year and when I finely got to install it with with the rest of my appliances it works great but then about a year after it got installed it started to make weird noises like a grinding sound. So I tried to get Samsung to come take a look at it and they said the warranty time I have on it was expired. so I'm out of luck. I literally got to use this $1200 dishwasher a total of maybe 20 times and I have to replace it. I'll never buy a Samsung appliance again, not only for the fact that they're warranty time is to short, but the fact that the washing machine is poorly made and it broke after using it only 20 times cuz it's just me in the house and I dont do that many dishes

Great until it's not. First repair was for the AutoRelease latch. After this repair it began leaking. Samsung uses Service Quick for repairs. They dented the back of my machine during repair. I didn't think it was an issue as it's very small but the machine began leaking from the lower front shortly after. Service Quick now claims it's not covered because of the dent as it's physical damage and voids the warranty. No one is willing to help. Samsung is unwilling to assist in any way and refer you back to Service Quick. When you talk w/ Service Quick(if you can get anyone on the phone) they blind transfer you back to Samsung and refuse to open a damage claim. When the machine was working it did a great job and was near silent.

Don't buy, I am warning you. Ours is 3 years old and I have sunk $500. Replaced water pump and door latch and still done not work. Waterwall is problematic. DO NO BUY any Samsung WATERWALL dishwashers. It comes off track in almost every wash. Replaced magnet in waterwall, still does not work. Appliance guys could not figure out the issue. When if comes off the rail, the cycle will not finish. No support from Samsung, you must get an appliance person to come to your house. They don't even have support for the appliance repair people. Samsung cannot do anything over the phone as their support team has no knowledge. Everything they say comes off a script. Samsung dispatched tech start at $250. Were now shopping for a new one because I don't want to keep sinking money into this horrible product. Bosh is likely target as the reviews are the best so far.
