Dishwasher might be ok, customer support is awful!

Customer support is, however, HORRIBLE. I bought this dishwasher 6 months ago and from the beginning to door operated very roughly - felt like something was scraping. The release feature at the end of a cycle did not work because of that, only cracking the door about 1/2 inch. I thought it might break in over time but I finally called to have them take care of it - the unit is still under warranty. Samsung sent out a technician who confirmed that the hinges were the problem and then connected with Samsung HQ. After he showed them the evidence over a video call, the remote person declared "physical damage" saying that it would not be covered under the warranty. They offered no evidence of any physical damage. I've since called customer support and they have now shifted their reason for not covering it to "installation error" saying the space is too small. The tech who was here verified that there was ample space on either side of the dishwasher. Changing the reason for not honoring the warranty when they could not justify their first diagnosis is a pretty big smell. So in summary, the one year warranty is a total sham. They are simply saying that they will not honor the warranty.

Do not purchase through Best Buy

Further, purchasing through Best Buy with the Geek Squad protection was an even worse decision. I spent the weekend on the phone with Samsung since the dishwasher (purchased and installed 8 months ago by Best Buy) now is giving a “LC” error. After troubleshooting this with an online Samsung “representative” over the weekend (because Best Buy Geek Squad apparently does not handle Samsung repairs-DO NOT buy their warranty!! It is a waste of your money) I’m told that a “Service Quick CSP” should handle the warranty repair. Read the reviews on Service Quick CSP. You DO NOT want them touching your appliances. So in the end I have a non functioning 8 month old dishwasher that I will have to pay out of pocket for repairs… you can purchase from Best Buy but don’t expect any customer service beyond the original purchase.

Internal water heater failed after 15 months

Fifteen months later the dishwashers internal hot water heater (necessary for high temperature wash, sanitize setting and self clean cycle) failed. The internal heater is also required during the units 2 - 3 hour wash cycles to keep the water hot enough to dissolve the detergent and for proper cleaning. Unfortunately, the warranty was only good until January 31, 2025. Fortunately, I used my Chase Visa which provides free warenty extension, so there is just inconvenience, not out of pocket cost.

Don’t buy. This dishwasher will fail you.

Which is a leak error. There is a fundamental problem with quality when an appliance fails after a year. Very disappointing. Looks like a bunch of Samsung dishwashers fail to drain for varies reasons.

Smart app enabled allows you to set up the cycle you want and monitor the progress remotely. Only disappointment is with the drying cycle. Some dishes still have water left on them once complete.

Have Total Tech but still waited 4 weeks AFTER purchasing to get it installed. Install went very well. He even fixed the low quality hose Best Buy sold me.
