    Worst dishwasher ever!!

I have owned numerous dishwashers over my lifetime and this is by far the worst! As soon as we brought it home, it had serious design flaws that were immediately evident. The lower rack does not stay on track at all. You have to use 2 hands to almost pick it up and move it back. Also, if you load the dinner plates to the rear, the tray starts to tip backwards. I've loaded other dishwashers this way and not had this problem. Then within weeks, the cheap gray plastic wheels start popping off. You can snap them back on. But seriously, who should have to keep re-installing parts on a brand new dishwasher?! Then last week, after only 8 months of use, the dishwasher totally quits working. That was the final straw. We contacted the store (it was not a Best Buy) we purchased it from and advised them what a defective product this is. They agreed to take it back and gave us a full refund, thank goodness. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, you will be sorry you wasted your money.

I just replaced a 5 year old GE with this unit. I am very impressed with the quality of the product, the way it was assembled and the overall design, both what you can see and note be seen.I was very impressed with the sound cover that has been used. I have installed the unit myself with no problem. I do suggest that you purchase the 90 degree water line adapter befor you intall the unit. Keeps you from making another trip to the hardware store. I read allot of complaints about the unit no having heated dry. I found is the trick is not to open the door right after the cycle was finished and use a final rinse product. Within the next 2 years, all dishwashers will have only air dry do to the mandate of energy conservation. 1st it was the toilets, next it was washing machines, now its the dishwasher. This is something we need to get used to and acccept it. The air dry does work and your dishes will be spot free. The interior racks are heavier constructed than most other brands. One small thing are the rack rollers. The wheels are larger and roll much easier than other brands. Even the tracks they run on are more heavy duty.I realize that this is not a big issue, it just shows the thought that went into the design of this unit. You can go wrong with this unit.. a product of the future!

We replaced our old Dishwasher due to noise and size. This Samsung Dishwasher was not only a great deal (sale), but it was much quieter than our old dishwasher and the added room inside is excellent. We are able to do less loads and save even more money due to its efficiency over our old model. We only know it is running because of the lights are on. Highly recommend.

Just purchased and installed this dishwasher. This thing is super quiet. I can not even hear it running. This is the first washer I owned this quiet and really love it. The touch panel and blue led lights are sweet. The tall tub design seems a little smaller than a standard tub but I think I can live with it. I originally bought a different model but after reading many reviews, this was the best bang for the buck if not better. It feels like your getting a $1000 dishwasher for half price. I would definitely recommend this washer. For $525 bucks you cant go wrong.

This is a good basic dishwasher. It looks nice in the kitchen with a clean uncluttered look. There are not a lot of extra features, but for me that wasn't important. What I do like is the super tall tub that allows room for large items. This dishwasher sure holds a lot of dishes when you figure out how to fill it. Very quiet when running, no need to turn the TV up when the dishwasher is running!

Black Friday special not so special

Bought on black friday special and was not so special after all. I have washed three loads in the first week. First load was okay, not great for there was some dirty silverware and a few food particals on the dishes. I left those dishes in for the second load. Second load stopped with error message that I had a drain issue. After several attempts to force the drain cycle, it eventually drained. I ran the clean cycle again and it completed, but still dirty silverware and some of the very same dishes were not cleaned. Extremly poor silverware holder design. I re allocated the dishes for the third load hoping it was just the location that was the issue. Welp, the third load was not good either with several of the silverware again dirty and some came out as if they were never even in the wash to my complete amazement. One of my dishes that went thru all three cycles and still remained dirty I just washed by hand with no issue. UGH!!! What a waste of my money, my time, my future time and my frustration EVERY time i put a dish in and take them out for the next couple years. Oh and the dry capabilities as if it has none. Even if you leave in for a couple hours, there will be water pretty much everything except a few items on the front bottom; definitely everything on the top will be wet. Lastly the cycle takes two hours to complete eventhough it does not clean the dishes. Extremely minimal features. Calling BBuy tomorrow to see what my options will be.

We just bought this unit after looking at pretty much every unit on the market. It seemed like it hit the sweet spot for quality, performance, and price. We got in on sale for under $500, which is amazing for a stainless steel tub. I installed it in about an hour, but I already had the old one out and was ready to go. I was glad the install kit I bought with it at Best Buy had the 6' braided hose and a brass elbow, you must have the elbow to hook the water line up at the front and it doesn't come with one. We had a big pot left over from dinner that had some rice and beans residue in it that had sat out for a couple hours. I threw it in the washer with all the dirty dishes we had on hand, put it on the Autowash setting, and this morning it was completely clean. It is super quiet, I had to open it a couple times to convince myself it was running. Now we'll see how it does in the long term, but for now I couldn't be happier!

    The Quietest Dishwasher!!

My husband and I recently purchased this dishwasher, and all I can say is WOW!! When we went to the store, we kept going back to this dishwasher. I liked the fact that it was a Samsung (we already own a fridge and microwave), and my husband liked that the filter was easily accessible. After it was installed, I ran the dishwasher for the first time and all I can say is you can hear a pin drop when you are next to it. You can hear it when it initially starts up, but once it starts going, you literally have to put your ear next to it to make sure it is running. If you have company over, and you start the dishwasher, you will not worry about how much louder you need to talk for people to hear you. I also like the fact that the top rack is at different levels. For the price that you pay, it will be worth it!

A good buy for a dishwasher

My wife had complained about our old dishwasher for years. I found this one on a great sale at Christmas time. I installed it myself. For the most part, it was not difficult. Like some other reviewers, I had a problem with a leak at the water intake. I think it was my fault for not using enough Teflon tape. Unfortunately, it didn't go so well with my wood floor but since I re-did the connection the next morning--no problems with leaking. I've had to push my family hard on loading the dishwasher. After a couple months they finally are getting things right. We do our pots and pans by hand, so I don't know how it works for them. In three months, my wife has not complained once about dirty dishes or glasses. The control panel is basic, but it does all I expect of it. Very quiet. The wash cycle is a little longer but we turn it on after dinner and let it run. I have noticed a slight odor but I think letting it dry out after emptying will help.

Had I not gotten a great deal w/free install on this all stainless DW inside and out....I'd be returning it. All the DW we looked at we're priced we'll over 700$. We wanted SS, high efficient, no front buttons for less than 500$ This DW looks great! Clean lines, it's fast, and quiet. The prob is that the slots inside are awkwardly placed. It creates an issue when trying to load standard sized plates, bowls,& utensils. If you can get it at a steal its worth it! If you can't....keep looking!

    Good so far

I've only had the dishwasher for a little over a month now, but so far I've been very happy. Compared to other units/brands, the price is very good. The unit was easy to install. It cleans the dishes very good (so far) and is very quiet when running (you almost don't know it's running). One thing that could be improved on is the top rack where glasses go could be a little deeper or designed a little better so the glasses don't fall over when sliding the rack back in. The only other complaint I have is that I wish the clean light would stay on until the first time the unit is opened; as it is now, it only stays on for about 10 minutes. We replaced a 4 year old KitchenAid dishwasher with this unit, and this was about half the price of the KitchenAid. Don't believe what you hear about KitchenAid being all that, as ours was junk, and a family member had the exact same unit and had the exact same issues with theirs as we had with ours. Oh, one last thing... I like the very bright blue LED's on the outside of the dishwasher telling you the cycle it's in, and the little tune it plays when it's done is also cool.

This diswasher was installed on December 3rd and completely broke down on December 12th. The pump would not work. A repair company confirmed that the pump had to be replaced. Dishwashers should last more than nine years, nevermind nine days! The repair man told me that Samsung is not recommended and I should go with a more reliable brand such as Kitchen Aid. I originally wanted to purchase the Kitchen Aid, but Best Buy did not have the machine available. Best Buy was great and allowed me to return the machine and purchase the Kitchen Aid as it had become available. During the nine days that the machine worked, the dishes came out completely wet. The machine washed the dishes, but we had to hand dry everything. Installation was complicated by the design of the machine. There is no room to turn a wrench for the water connection. The Kitchen Aid is much easier to install. The Kitchen Aid has an open design beneath the machine. This allows for much easier connections and flexibility in placement of the utilities. I love my Samsung cell phone, but will never buy a Samsung appliance. The delivery crew told me that they have picked up several broken Samsung dishwashers.

Got this yesterday and get it all installed. The first think I noticed was how much quieter this was. I have done two small loads to "break it in" and it works great. Some had mentioned on the reviews that the dishes don't dry, but mine were bone dry. Not sure why they had didn't experience. Maybe they didn't allow the cycle to complete. There are 3 LEDs on the front that show which stage its in.

This does a good cleaning and drying job if you follow the instructions. Use the right detergent - suggest cascade complete but do not use the final jet wash solution if you use the cubes. I would rec the powder and then use the final rinse liquid.. Leave door slightly ajar after use to avoid any smell and monthly follow vinegar directions in user manual. Realize, this (like many newer models) does not use a separate dry heat coil so wash on 'sanitize' which uses hotter water in order that the dishes dry. Again - if you are having problems, you are not reading the directions correctly.

    Broken from day 1.

I purchased this Samsung dishwasher in January of 2011 and it has not worked correctly since we purchased it. It shuts off within 5-10 minutes after starting a cycle. Sometimes it will run the cycle the first time, but typically we have to restart it 2 or 3 times, occasionally more. And I have lost the reciept! We live in Utah, which is a very dry climate. Of course any climate which is below freezing in the winter is very dry. This dishwasher does not dry the dishes completely even when we use the "sanitize" setting. They are mostly dry, but any crevace or cupped surface will still be full of water. I chose this dishwasher because I thought it had well designed racks, but now that I have some experience with it I realize they are not so wonderful. A bit better than a dirt cheap dishwasher, but small things will fall through the upper rack and small glasses will tip over.

    WORST BUY

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Do not buy this dishwasher. When even partially loaded, the bottom rack will not slide smoothly along the rails. This chronic problem is the result of a faulty design. No matter how carefully you load the rack, you end up physically lifting and shifting the rack into position inside the dishwasher. Why should you have to manhandle the rack every time you attempt to load your dishwasher? In addition, at random times the soap dispenser will not open during the washing process. This has nothing to do with the dispenser being damp or wet. When this happens, we have to run the cycle again. This dishwasher is a huge disappointment and a terrible waste of money. Run don't walk from this Best Buy Worst Buy.

We just purchased this dishwasher and it is wonderful. The stainless look and sleek design look great in our stainless kitchen and the hidden controls are nice on a very reasonably priced dishwasher. The features are also tremendous for the price. Hidden heating element, full stainless tub and hard food disposer are hard to find for under $600. Lastly, the performance has been great and it is whisper quiet. Overall so far, it has been a great buy.

After having several installation issues with this dishwasher, it worked fine for a few months. Then, a rust streak started to appear inside the stainless tub. Samsung was easy to work with. They came out and said that this was covered under the warranty and so we could either get a new one, or select a new dishwasher from Best Buy. We had a matching Samsung fridge, but still decided to not get the same dishwasher. We found the rack design to be poor. You cannot put tall spoons in the utensil rack b/c of the sloped top rack. It also was tough to arrange the dishes in a way that maximized space b/c of how the racks were designed. The dishwasher was very quiet and did a decent job cleaning the dishes. But to us, having rust inside was upsetting. The dishwasher felt unreliable. Install issues plus rust was a dealbreaker. We exchanged it for a Kitchen Aid, which so far seems amazing.
