Bought it as an open box & found the remote was the wrong one (for a DVD player) & wouldn't work so I went back to the store & got a universal remote. Spent hours speaking w/Samsung then Insignia tech support which was terrible-both blamed the other & I still had a tv and remote that wouldn't work. Took it back to the store & got a closed box Insignia which works perfectly. Buyer beware when you purchase an open box item. Spent the entire day trying to fix the mess...

It's a good tv. I like Samsung products. The Samsung Smart Hub is ok with one exception. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT SLING. If I had known that Samsung and Sling do not get along, I would have purchased another TV. If you are going to have your own smart TV App platform, then you must work with all vendors! I should have bought a TV with ROKU enable. Very Disappointing. I urge others to post on this problem as well.

I have been watching only streamline tv on my laptop since I cancelled my cable contracts and wanted to a smart tv for a long time now!! I went with Samsung due to their reputation and also the recommendation from the floor sale man ..I love this tv!! Gorgeous picture quality, sound, but the remote is not user friendly...a lot of buttons and you have to read the manual and refer to what each one is from time to time. I am a average techie but this is a little bothersome at times but other than that it is a wonderful tv at a excellent price!! I bought a "Open Box" tv and still had the same warranty and there was nothing wrong with the tv and not a scratch on it plus I saved a additional $40.00 !! I recommend this tv for anyone ..I use it in my bedroom and will purchase a larger Samsung TV for my living room in the future..Also the smart hub streamlines hulu plus and netflix easily ..no needing cable and I will be ordering a antennae for local channels in the future to expand my channels..great to use as a computer also!! I also ordered the Samsung Blue Ray Home Surround sound system which I can't wait to pick up at the store!! I all integrates from the same remote control if you choose to do so ..I will write a review when I receive it also. Samsung is a great company with a wonderful reputation and I would recommend to everyone!!

Stay away. If you turn it on no wifi services work for at least 3 minutes at a minimum, usually much longer. It tells you Smarthub unavailable. Common problem. Wish I read reviews more closely. Have owned multiple Samsung tv's without issue, this is total junk. Bought a Roku TV and for a low end TV it makes this Samsung ashamed of itself.

The color is washed out even after calibration. The sound is bad. Not a good tv overall.

Tv was purchased in order to access smart apps on device for son's playroom. Smart apps have never been accessible. TV always gives error message saying that is updating itself and to try again later. Wifi working and signal mediocre. Do not waste your money if you are buying to use as a "smart tv." Will attempt to return product.

Nice tv, but speakers in back do not help the sound when up against wall, sounds analog.

I am not sure on rating because this was a gift and we do not have here.

I can't seem to get the smart tv to act smart, the internet won't connect!

Though I own a larger TV by Samsung, the smaller version has terrible sound and the controls for sound are awful! Purchased a sound bar, but the tv controller won't drive it! Now I have 3 controllers. Really sucks!!!!

It's too complicated to program and I waist money.

I worked and worked to get the stand attached to the set and could never get it right. A friend of mine also brought this model and she told me that neither she nor her son could get the stand attached correctly. Very bad stand design.

It was a nightmare getting a refund from Best Buy. The TV came without remote, power cord or stand screws. They were going to charge me for the missing parts. After I got the manager finally, she gave a store credit

Every time we tried to use the not so smart part of this tv it wouldn't connect. After googling this problem, we discovered it's not just us, but a huge problem with this tv. Went back and got a Vizio smart tv.

I bought this for my dorm room. It is the perfect size and overall its not bad quality. It does not have smart capabilities, but it does have an hdmi cord and usb port. I bought a chrome cast and I use it all the time with the tv. Great product would recommend for any college student looking for a decently priced tv.

Great value is based on the price I paid on Black Friday weekend. I'm a Sony guy but Samsung has always been my second choice. So far I am very happy with this TV. Those who give it 1-2 stars must be super hard to please or have a defective unit. Boot up time is fine but obviously WiFi takes a while to negotiate a connection. No big deal. Contrary to another review, there's a "Source" button right on the remote to choose from alternate sources, like network storage devices. Picture quality is excellent. Features are great. I went with Samsung this time because they allow a variety of streaming formats. It streams .MP4's and other formats (supposedly even .MKV's) directly from a network drive if your files meet the right video and audio codec specs. Can't do that on a Sony. I'm still working on nailing down the best combination of settings in Handbrake. Netflix works fine. Wifi is good. Over the air tuner is good. Chanel changes are picked up quickly, even on not-so-strong stations. My only complaint is that for over the air tuning, it doesn't offer you a signal meter to help with fine tuning of the antenna when adding weak channels manually. I haven't yet found how to manually input an over the air channel number in the manual channel edit screen, but it must be there somewhere. It has a variety of connection options, even component video for older receiver compatibility. I'd buy this one again if I needed another small TV. My actual rating would be 4.5 stars due to the shortcomings mentioned but that wasn't an option and it deserves more than 4. This was the best TV in its size and price range. You can't go wrong.

We purchased this Smart tv about a week ago as a replacement for an older model in our bedroom. The picture is great, setup was easy, assembly was easy, and the stand felt sturdy while we used it. Wall mounted it a few days later, just as easy. WiFi connection is solid and stable, and the apps load a little slow, but this isn't a computer, it's a TV, so I expect that. All in all, this is a wonderful TV for the price, no complaints!

The screen has frozen and online search reveals this is a very common problem. We have only owned it for a few months.
