I like the looks and the reconfigurable drawers. and it is really super quite compared to my older dish washer. But I gave four stars because the dishes come out really wet!!

I would like to start off by saying that I read the reviews on this dishwasher before purchase and did see a couple complaints about wet dishes. I didn't think it would be this bad. If you have tupperware or anything that can catch water, plan on it being wet. It looks like it wasn't dried at all when it come out. Wish there was an option to increase drying time. So far this is the only downfall with this dishwasher. It cleans really nicely and I like the layout of it

My mother purchased this a couple years ago and the past six months it's hit or miss weather or not it runs. Today I had it and called an appliance repair guy. He told me to buy a new one that repairing it would be to expensive. He also said Samsung dishwashers are the worst product out there. Any dishwasher I've ever had last at least 10 years, two years is to soon to be buying another one.

I went to Best Buy and asked which dish washer would be the best for our use and price range. The sales man pointed out 2 models. We didn't care for either one, so he said we could step up a notch and get the Samsung model. So we looked at it and the reviews seemed good. It had a stainless tub which I liked as its easier to keep stains off of. We took it home and set it up and ran a load through it. It didn't clean all the dishes clean and the machine left most things wet still. Next load I asked wife to use pots and pans cycle see if it would clean and dry things better. It did ok but not real well, not even close to our old Kenmore. Like meatheads we went on vacation for a couple of weeks and when we returned we used it a couple more times with real unsatisfactory results. Basically who wants to wash the dishes before you wash the dishes in the machine? So we called the store to get another kind cause this one sucks at cleaning dishes. But we were to late by a couple of days. So now we are giving it away and starting from scratch. Water saver if it says that I don't want it. Hello it takes water to clean dishes. This should be the top priority when building a dishwasher not how much water you can save. Going back to see if Kenmore has one with a Water waster option to clean my darn dishes.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience, GMS1. There are several tips available both in the User Manual and on Samsung's website to help maximize both the cleaning and drying performance of your DW80J3020UB. Cleaning the spray nozzles, adjusting how the dishes are loaded, ensuring the incoming water pressure and temperature are sufficient, selecting the Sanitize option, and using a rinse aid are among the suggestions that can help to correct the issues you're having.

      Sincerely,
      Ms. Samsung MsSamsung

Samsung DW80J3020 CANNOT pause a cycle

    Posted .

This dishwasher has no pause, when you open the door, it will restart every time. So, don't forget a dish, or think you can interrupt it for ANY reason, it's just not possible. I called SAMSUNG themselves, and they said the dishwasher does NOT have this feature. Who knew that a dishwasher in 2015 would NOT have a PAUSE button? What a WASTE of water and power, to restart the stupid thing every time the door is opened!

Samsung Makes Terrible Appliances and Zero Service

Samsung 24 in. Front Control Dishwasher in Stainless Steel with Stainless Steel Tub. Model # DW80J3020US Purchased at HOME DEPOT JULY 2016 FAILED January 20 2017 Price Paid: $450 after delivery and install DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!! Especially if you don't live right next door to a Samsung authorized repair technician. I purchased this dish washer and a refrigerator in July of 2016. Since that time the cheap wheels and trays inside the dish washer have fallen apart for no reason. I snap them back together, but the next use, they are off again. No big deal, just an example of poor quality. Bigger problems include: frequently doesn't complete a cycle forcing me to restart the entire wash because there is no way to start it from the middle of a cycle, leaves standing water in the bottom of the tub, and doesn't seem to get the dishes clean unless its only half full. No, it's not an install issue, it's just a completely substandard product. My real issue is that at the end of January 2017, the dish washer started flashing an error code that the manual said needed a Samsung Certified Service Tech to address. I called them, set up a trouble ticket, and was told that I would be contacted within 24 hours. No call back. Ever. Not that time or the 5 times I have called since. My second to last conversation was with someone who told me that it is an easy problem to fix, but that unfortunately they didn't have any service technicians in my area. I LIVE 30 MINUTES SOUTH OF INDIANAPOLIS!!!! They said that they needed to refer my case to an escalation team that would explore some options with me, and to expect a call back from them within the next 48 hours. 8 days later, still no call. This morning I called them again. I was told that the escalation team was waiting on me to send them the original purchase receipt before they could proceed. NO ONE EVER TALKED TO ME!!! They were just waiting for me to magically know that they were waiting. Ridiculous. I emailed the receipt to the agent while I was on the call, and then asked what they were going to do to make up for the poor service and the inconvenience of being without my dish brand new dish washer for a month. Samsung's response. Nothing. They see it as an opportunity to receive negative customer feedback and learn from their mistakes going forward. When I told the girl that wasn't going to satisfy me, she said that she could escalate my complaint to Samsung Corporate services, which ironically is an "outbound phone call only" department. HA!!! I'm supposed to wait for 48 hours to hear from them, but I won't be holding my breath. I'm not sure how any of that helped me, but it was the straw that broke me. I'm demanding a refund for both the Samsung dish washer and refrigerator I purchased from Home Depot, because Samsung refuses to honor the warranty that came with the product. Sorry for the rant. Do yourselves a favor; buy ANY other brand than Samsung. I am an actual customer. The serial number for the unit reviewed is available upon request. I received no compensation or consideration for this review from any source.

This is by far the quietest dishwasher I've ever had. I like the setup inside - since the silverware container is on the side of the rack, there is plenty of space in the middle for large pots and pans.

Do not buy any samsung dishwashers. After buying this dishwasher it had a drain error. Samsung sent out a repair person. It had another error just after the warranty was up c and they wouldn't do anything to help. We could not even find a repair company that would fix samsung.

I have been washing dishes for a month in Model Number: DW80J3020US <--- So nobody gets confused. This is the best looking subpar appliance I have ever had the displeasure of owning and using. If I could trade it for a GE dishwasher I would with 0 regret. First, the rack and tine layout must have been designed for only one style and type of dinnerware, ALL of which do not exist on earth. Earth people use and reuse Rubbermaid Takealong lunch containers and lids or something like it, salsa bowels, standard family stuff. Second, the holes in the silverware bins are to small for the handles on my silverware, and take turning them at different angles and different holes to get each one in. I am close to ripping this washer out and beating it with a baseball bat! Your right, that's an over reaction, I should take the bins out and lovingly open each of the 80 or so holes so I can fit my common silverware handles into them, my fault! Third, it has developed a high pitched noise during one of the cycles. It's so fun :-) Fourth, it does not dry the dishes any better than my first $150 dish washer did back in 1989. What the heck are we paying for these days? My guess is: LOOKS, if you want something that looks nice, buy 2 of them. If you want something that works, do yourself a favor get a GE Or Whirlpool. -Mic Drop!-

Although the dishwasher did not automatically come with the water line kit, I was able to get it with a promotion. The dishwasher has worked pretty well for us so far. It is not silent, but it is pretty quiet.

Save your money and buy a different dishwasher. This one doesn't clean dishes, even if dishes are pre-rinsed. Dry cycle takes forever and dishes don't even come out dry. If you open door while running, the cycle must be started completely over. I'm ready to reinstall my old Maytag. Dishes were clean and dry, rack was just rusting apart.

Great mid-range dishwasher. Hard food disposer, stainless steel inside and out. Dishes come out sparkling. To all of these bad reviews, you're unintelligent. Get it professionally installed and get a service plan, nothing to worry about. If you can't afford that, wash your dishes by hand. Technology isn't perfect, it breaks sometimes even if it's new, deal with it or be smarter, and make more money so you can afford better technology.
