I called Samsung, they sent someone out to look at it and I was told the water wasn't getting hit enough to dissolve the soap. I use Cascade gel/powder packs. The Samsung tech thought the reason there was debris on the bowls was the powder not dissolving. I showed him glasses that had other small particles that were clearly not soap but he assured me raising the temp on the hot water heater would solve it. Alas, I've ran the dishwasher 3 times since then and it still isn't working. I recommend paying the extra money for the next model up. The Samsung tech told me Whirlpool is the way to go with dishwashers. I wish I had known before.
