Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the 24" Tall Tub Built-In Dishwasher's quiet operation and cleaning performance, frequently praising its ease of use and larger capacity compared to older models. However, some users expressed concerns regarding the dishwasher's rack design and reported instances of reliability issues. While many appreciate the stainless steel interior and features, longer cycle times and occasional soap dispenser problems were also noted.

About the only good thing I can say is the dishwasher is quiet and has the stainless tub. The dishes hardly ever come out clean. Especially the top rack. One word to sum this dishwasher up is inconsistent. After 3 weeks of seeing if it would get any better I decided to return the dishwasher. Needless to say I didn't replace it with another Samsung.

    HUGE Headache

I was sold on this at the store based on the built in food processer and larger trays. Well first let’s say the design for places dishes is crazy unless you eat off china ever night, there is no proper way to load "normal" dishes (deep cereal bowls, kids cups, pots and pans etc). On top of that every time we unload it there are spots on the dishes and we use Jet Dry and there are food particles in the glasses (disgusting). Had them come out and look at it of course they said everything was fine, I call BS because my glasses and dingy looking and there are food particles in the bottom of the cups. Will be returning.

    Does not clean dishes!

Dishes don't come out clean, even when I pre-rinse them. Powder residue left on/in some glasses and brown spots on white china plates and bowls. I have had the dishwasher for about 2 months. It was installed by Best Buy. Tried every setting, tried loading dishes different ways, tried using less powder, tried with and without rinse-aid, tried "Dishwasher Magic" as recommended by the technician, who I had to call to service the machine. Nothing worked. I recommend staying away from this model.

    Junk dishwasher

poor design, dishes don't get clean, 4yrs old and have had lots of problems with it. I'm sure most of the raving reviews on here just never updated them to 1 star. I have a Samsung refrigerator that has been perfect, however after dropping five hundred on this one I will never give them another penny. I'm sure this model is discontinued by now but just want other buyers to be aware that Samsung makes a crappy dishwasher.

Bought this unit on line arrived early and was a breeze to install. Dishes are clean every time and you can barely hear it running.

Worst dishwasher that we have ever owned

It doesn't matter how full or empty it is, it doesn't do a good job of cleaning the dishes and silverware. Glasses and silverware continuously have to be washed by hand after a cycle. I even went to the extreme of turning up my hot water heater thinking it may not have been warm enough. Dishes don't dry. We have to hand dry the dishes even after allowing them to sit overnight.

I thought the slanted top would be useful, but even regular dinner knives barely fit under the water spraying arm, and no way do spatulas etc. In the top rack, glasses and cups fall over. In the bottom rack, none of the plates fit together, even following the instruction book recommendations. The divider prongs don't correspond, forcing plates to be on an angle and that touch one another unless we skip every other set. Then there's the fact that it uses so little water that we have to follow a ritual of turning on the sink water until it's hot in order to get hot water in the machine. (That's what the installer told us, and he does hundreds of installations for all major stores in the area.) Oh, and the dishes aren't clean. In the first load, a one year old glass came out chipped on its rim. Is mine a bad one, because I don't know why people rate it so highly?

      Hi Kareninvt,

I'm sorry to hear you aren't happy with your dishwasher. Please keep in mind that the upper rack can be raised to provide more clearance for tall items below it, and some of the tines can be adjusted to provide better support for your glassware. The amount of water used by this and other Samsung Dishwashers is consistent with Energy Star standards for efficiency and, fortunately, the incoming water is heated to the appropriate temperature by the hidden heating element, so you shouldn't need to run the water first to make it hot. You can refer to the Cycle Chart on page 22 of the User Manual for more information about the temperatures for different cycles.

As far as the cleaning performance is concerned, I would suggest referring to the troubleshooting information available in the manual and on Samsung's website since there are several tips including cleaning the spray arm nozzles that may help to resolve this issue.

I hope these suggestions help to improve your experience!

I would give this machine 0 stars if I could. I have now had this thing for 7 years. I have been able to use it 3 TIMES. And 1 of those 3 times was when the repair man replaced the water pump on it about 1 year in. It has been nothing but a BIG waist of a lot of money.

    A Nighmare Dishwasher

My experience with this dishwasher has been a disaster. It never cleaned the dishes or glasses. Soap scum was on everything and the detergent ran down the inside of the door. It ran way too long, which used up more electric and water. After two repairs with a third party, shoddy Samsung repair company, they could not fix it. Samsung refuse to do anything, including me returning the product. I had only had this dishwasher a few months and was definitely still covered by the year warranty. Fortunately, Best Buy stepped in and allowed me to return it. They said they have had other complaints regarding this dishwasher.

Worked OK at first, now it sounds like a truck

At first it was quiet, and worked well enough. As others have pointed out, it doesn't dry as well as some dishwashers. The big issues for me are that it now, literally a month past warranty, sounds like we have a truck idling in our kitchen; plus it doesn't always flip open the detergent so we have to run the load again. I do not recommend buying this machine.

    Piece of Junk

I got the dishwasher home, hooked it up and it was DOA. Didn't work at all. After dealing with Samsung (no help at all and rude) I returned it to Best Buy and had them order me another one. Hooked the new one up exactly as the original was and it worked fine for 5 washes at which point the detergent release door quit working. I ran the dish load 4 more times to see if the door would open, it didn't. I had my last dishwasher for 10 years (whirlpool) with no problems. I'm going to hook the old one back up and light the Samsung on fire. Unbelievable pile of junk. I'm not sure about the reviews where people claim they can't hear it running, you might need hearing aids, its not that quiet. Don't even consider buying this garbage

    Worst dishwasher I've ever had

If I could return this useless dishwasher, I would. I have to pre-wash EVERY single thing before loading it or nothing gets cleaned very well--even on the "Heavy Duty" cycle. Plates don't stack properly in the bottom of the dishwasher and I have to lift the bottom part to get it on the track properly before closing it. Additionally, you get one little "beep" to tell you the cycle is finished. If you miss it, there are no lights telling you it's been run. As we just purchased this machine, we're stuck with it for years. It's depressing. DON'T BUY IT!

We bought this dishwasher after reading and hearing great things about samsung. Don't waste your money! After 15 months of doing a great job it quit. The motor went out and it going to be cheaper to buy a new one.

    Worst Purchase Ever

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Purchasing this dishwasher was one of the worst purchases I have made. The discharge line had a very tiny hole in it and proceeded to leak water into our cabinet. We never use the cabinet that it was leaking into so we had no idea it was leaking until the cabinet got so full of water it spilled out onto our brand new hardwood floors. Once we found the water it was nearly 1 and 1/2 inches deep with mold and mildew growth about 3 inches up the side of our cabinet. Have been fighting with Best Buy and Samsung ever since and no one will claim responsibilty or help us get this matter resolved. Regret this purchase tremendously!

    Quiet, Spacious, Yet Useless

I loved the quiet operation, spaciousness, stainless steel interior, flatware holder location with separators, and the ability to move shelving; however, I had to return it due to it's cleaning ability. The tallest glasses continued to have food in them even after running on the 2.5 hour cycle and with proper loading of dishes and detergent and rinse aid. The pots and pans weren't very clean either.
