Because of the nature of open concept homes, our kitchen has no wall between it and the living room where we watch TV. Our old dishwasher was too loud to hear over, so we'd run it at night. With this one, we forget its even running until the end-of-cycle chime sounds.

What I really like about it is that the inside is all stainless, which this is one of the cheaper dishwashers I could find that has that option. Not silent or noisy. Seems to get everything clean.

I thought any new dishwasher would be an improvement over the old Amana we replaced, but this Samsung doesn't clean dishes, even if you pre-wash all good off. Also, it does not dry the dishes.
