Thanks for the feedback. The DW80F800UWS doesn't use the heating element to dry, but rather uses a more passive process of condensation drying that relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water. If you want to interrupt this portion of the cycle, simply open the door. Keep in mind that doing this will release the heat inside the dishwasher and may prevent the dishes from drying properly once the door is closed again. To cancel the cycle, hold the Start/Drain button for 3 seconds.
The user manual and Samsung's website offer several tips for cleaning the Dishwasher and removing odors.

Please refer to the troubleshooting tips in the user manual and online, such as cleaning the spray nozzles, checking the supplied water pressure and temperature, and making sure the detergent and rinse aid are dispensing correctly. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website for easy reference.

Washes but doesn't dry

Had to finishing drying by hand the next day after leaving door open all night. Not what I had in mind. Four service calls switched brands.

The only time I hear it is when it fills with water. It does a great job cleaning everything. I still have never owned a dishwasher that dries worth a darn and this one is no different. If Samsung can get the dishes completely dry I would give 5 stars.
