Samsung Service - Beware I received the dishwasher but the gasket (rubber strip) for the bottom of the kick plate was missing. I called Samsung to have this inexpensive part shipped to me and they promised that I would have it in 7-10 days. A few days later, I received a call from a Samsung subcontractor who want to come to my house, install the gasket (2 screws) and charge me for a service call. I declined then contacted Samsung via their website to try to obtain the gasket but I did not receive a response. Finally, I received a voicemail from a customer service supervisor saying that an email had been sent but may have ended up in my spam folder (I had checked this 1st and no email). I tried to call this supervisor but could not get to him as no option 7 was ever an option in their automated call handling maze. I called their customer service reps on the 877 number but they could not transfer my call to the supervisor even though I gave them that extension. The reps knew nothing of my incident. It has now been over 1 month since I received my dishwasher and no contact from Samsung despite 3 emails through their website and 7 phone calls. Note that this dishwasher seems to be operating fine thus far.

We've had this dishwasher about 9 months. It seems to clean OK, but it ALWAYS has an odor. It drains fine and seems to clear the food, but the odor is very annoying. The stink, combined with the rinse agent, seems to coat the dishes and silverware. Nothing like having a bowl of milk and cereal and having it smell like dishwasher. I have to pour bleach into the dishwasher on a regular basis, just to mitigate the stink. The instructions address the smell by recommending another wash cycle, with the dish washer empty. So 2 washes for a single load of dishes? This is a joke. Why not just fix what's causing the stink in the first place. I also found the unit to be very flimsy. The stainless panel on the front-side is very, very thin and dents or bends very easily. With the state of current product development, I doubt that there are any better options. But I, for one, am not too pleased... Better to just keep and fix your old stuff.

Like the stainless interior, cleans great and is extremely quiet.

This is the second Samsung dishwasher we have owned in the past five years and both have turned out to be lemons. The first one lasted five years and then shut down. FIVE service calls later and every imaginable part replaced, the unit still shut down and showed a drain error every time. Repair company declared it dead and refunded our warranty cost. Went to BB and bought another one. Took it home, had a plumber install it -- guess what? Drain error codes and cycle aborts every time. Called Samsung and they sent out Appliance Rescue. Appliance Rescue has been to our house twice so far and replaced the pump/motor/drain assembly, and is now waiting for a new mother board and drain sensor. This on a brand new unit? Maybe it is just our bad luck, but Samsung appears to have reliability issues big time. I just placed an order for a Whirlpool and Best Buy has agreed to refund the price of the Samsung and to come pick it up from our house.

My previous dishwasher broke after 4 yrs. I didn't want to buy the same brand, after researching, I found this. It had good reviews. You have to use rinse aid as you do w/ 95% of dishwashers. It cleans well and dries well. There is some moister in the bottom of the dishwasher after it dries, but I think all my other ones had it too. Simple to operate. Now I want to get their fridge and stove too. It is quiet also. Highly recommend!

looked for a while to find a stainless tub dishwasher that wasnt outrageous in price. This one fit the bill & i like samsung everything else. I was experiencing some funky smells at first but some vinegar & cleaner fixed this. My biggest issue with this is the silverware baskets!!!! unless you have silverware stems that are close to an inch wide, they will slip through the gigantic holes on the sides & prevent you from sliding the racks in and out without getting in there & removing the entire wet rack. I would have seriously considered a different unit had i known this previously.

If you ->follow the instructions<- in the manual, you will LOVE this DW! Quality materials, simple design, adjustable rack and tines, leak guard feature. LOVE the smart button-washes as short or long as it needs. Love that it is quiet-does not interfere w/TV; and that the heating element is hidden/no melted plastics; and the cycle chime is soft. As per instructions: Use ONLY 1T quality powder detergent, hot water at least 120 (as with all DW). For perfect drying, use rinse aid and the sanitize feature, the interior fan is great. We run DW about every other day. Barely rinse and skip altogether if washing immediately.

Works like a dishwasher is supposed to. The inside set up was a little tricky (1 star removed) getting used to but once you figure our where everything fits, no problem.

We are very happy with both the dishwasher and the installation. It runs so quiet you hardly know it's running. The dishes are clean the first time.

We bought this dishwasher to replace our old one that quit working. We chose the stainless steel to match our fridge and we liked the features .It does a great job cleaning the dishes an is very quiet.

Purchased dishwasher,refrigerator, and gas stove by Samsung. Had multiple problems with all. For example oven quit working. Samsung offered to fix for 280.00. I fixed it myself for 58.00 with no experience. refrig serviced 2 times and still has problems. Dishwasher serviced 2 times cost me 220.00. and it has design flaws per many posts on internet. Their stuff looks great but has horrible reliability in my opinion. If you do buy Samsung( and I would never again do it ) be sure to buy the longest warranty available.

Runs very quiet and does the job. Got on sale for $400 and very good for the price.

Awesome energy efficient dishwasher! Got it on sale with other discounts utilizing their Ccard for a great value. It's very quiet and looks sharp. Great design and function on the inside (w/huge capacity)- You can nicely fit tall pitchers, etc. on both racks. It's energy efficient and uses minimal solutions - effectively cleaning and "hot air" drying the dishes. They are not too hot to immediately put away. It's almost everything we could want.. however, the Utensil compartment flaps on top have slots and are designed for the handle to go inside the compartment- okay if you have slim handles. When you put them away you touch the cleaned non-handle or "open" end of the utensil like the fork prong, etc. Not a big deal because you can open the flap and group them in for knives, etc...But then the flap should be removed from that compartment or it may hit the side when sliding the rack back in. Still it's GREAT!

I should have known better than to buy another Samsung product but I thought the fridge was just a fluke. Well, I was disappointed again. This is the second Samsung appliance I have purchased from Best Buy and within in minutes of its first use, I have water leaking all over the kitchen floor. It appears the door does not properly seal. I watched the delivery team unload and haul the dishwasher into the kitchen, we checked it for damage, and I installed it. Unfortunately this is the kind of leak that only rears its ugly head after all of the work is done. Could I wait for a Samsung repairman to come out and fix it? Maybe, if I want to wait 2 weeks I might do that. No matter what, I have to wait at least three days to have another delivered and the defective machine to be taken back. Then we get to do it all over again. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again. It is not worth the hassle.I am sure we all have better things to do with our time than deal with defective products.

I'm very happy with this Samsung D/W. Build quality is excellent. as are the racks and slides. Very quiet, you do not hear it running. A heated dry cycle would be nice, but I believe US Energy Star ratings limit all the makers on Power consumption and water useage. The tines on the bottom rack are spaced closely (1 inch) and this makes loading some designer dishes and bowls difficult. You must skip every other slot when loading or they do not all clean well. The top rack is very well thought out with staggered depth. Everything fits and cleans well on top. The quick wash cycle is one hour long. Overall a Very Good washer, I recommend it and would buy another. Register your warranty on Samsung.com and get 3 months add'l coverage added to the 12 month basic.

This dishwasher does not clean as it should.... and not even having it for a year, it died on us.. Now have an error code and it is taking Samsung so long to do anything about it... called several times and finally got a transaction number. The company that is to come and fix it ordered all parts but one is on backorder.. I have been without a dishwasher for 2 weeks now and it smells to high heaven if you open it... DO NOT BUY!! YOu will regret it, as this apparently is a common problem with this dishwasher...

I am disappointed with this Samsung dishwasher. Not enough to return it but I'm not very happy. I have to wash all dishes by hand before loading or they don't get clean. However this is my habit anyway so it's not a huge inconvenience to me. Dishes usually are still wet or somewhat wet at the end of the cycle. I've tried using the rinse agent stuff as recommended but it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference. It should be noted the government has imposed energy consumption requirements on manufacturers - perhaps that is part of the reason for this fairly poor performance. It is however very quiet, you can barely hear it running. I wish I had bought something else but I'm stuck with this for a few years now.

The product is okay. I like that it is virtually silent, however it does not dry the dishes and runs too long. It also turns on if you lean against it.

Matches all the other appliances in kitchen. Love the stainless steel inside of dishwasher. Only drawback, you have to use a drying agent, or it will have water all over the inside, when done. My old one did not have that problem. It work great if done properly though. Very quiet.

Bought this dishwasher as a Christmas gift for my parents. They have had it for less than 7 months and the buttons no longer light up to indicate that the machine is on or what stage of the wash cycle it is currently in. Observe that other reviewers of this model have experienced the same issue. Very disappointed in the quality control of this model and expect much better from Samsung. DO NOT BUY.
