finally clean dishes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used to have a different brand dishwasher, which I hated from day one. This model is well built, the outer insulation is not that cheap Styrofoam like my old one had, the interior is stainless steal, the baskets have aluminum covers, not that cheap soft vinyl. It is very easy to use, you don't even need the manual to figure out which cycle is best. There is control light when the rinse agent gets low, which my old one did not have either. It runs nice and quiet. I have an open kitchen to living room floor plan, and my old one made it impossible to watch TV while the machine was running without turning the volume way up. You hardly hear this one. When it is done it beeps once and turns off by itself after 10 minutes. I am happy with my choice buying a Samsung.

Bad Dishwasher - stay away
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dishwasher (samsung DW 7933) 2 years before after returning a same dishwasher from best buy 6 months prior. My earlier dishwasher (samsung) stopped draining water and it was in warranty so best buy guys came few times but could not fix so they gave me this new one. After 2 years this one is leaking water and stopped working due to some leakage error. When I called a mechanic, he gave me an estimate of $300 to replace the draining pump. It appears that samsung dishwashers are built with BAD draining pump. I am never going close to samsung dishwashers. Highly advise NOT to buy this dishwasher or you will regret in less than 2-3 years or much sooner..

Trusted the Samsung Name but was let down
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our contractor-grade GE dishwasher stopped cleaning so we went shopping for a new one. BestBuy had a great price on this, and I had always trusted Samsung as a brand. I should have read the reviews more carefully. I was also impressed by the adjustability of the racks. Installation was very easy. I liked that the water inlet connection was in the front-bottom of the machine. I hooked it up and turned it on, and was disappointed. The machine just plain and simple didn't wash well. Dishes stayed dirty. The soap dispenser didn't open every time. I read about how it's probably the customer's fault for poorly loading the bottom rack, but that's a face-saving way of saying that their engineers did a poor job designing this. The dishes never dried. They were always wet...just wet. I tried the Sanitize cycle as recommended, with only a handful of dishes inside, and they still did not try. Any dishwasher that requires that much thought is clearly a poor product. A huge Samsung mistake. The tines are not well placed or spaced for a typical American household that uses larger plates, soup plates, bowls...it just was not easy to load. Overall, I regret buying this and will be exchanging it today. I gave it a good five-day try.

Check your dishes with these racks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We should never have bought this dishwasher without taking our dishes and seeing if they fit. The lower rack has three OFFSET ranks of tines that made it impossible for us to fit our dishes. The dishwasher does not clean very well... we made do with making sure to use the heavy wash setting and the sanitize option to eliminate some of the water. All in all, not very happy and we returned this dishwasher.

Top Rack needs redesign
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The top rack is really poorly designed. It steps down from left to right so taller items will fit under the left part of the rack. However, the steps are angled to such a degree that glasses only have one small point of contact on the shelf. They easily fall over when opening and closing the rack. In addition, the tines do not line up with the riser part of the steps. You think you have 2" to put something, but really you have about 1.5" Not enough space to fit anything. Plus the tines on the bottom are close together. If you have stoneware, they may not fit in any dishwasher that advertises 12 to14 place settings. (and who uses that many place settings at one meal at a time anyway?) I wash lots of pots and pans in here and they do come out clean and in record time.

Quiet & excellent cleaning dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.dishwasher has a hard food disposer, great for my kids who don't rinse. Tall tub holds dishes for our large family. Quiet operation. Load silverware individually is wonderful - items are separated for better cleaning. I have yet to pull out a dirty dish!

Disappointing!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I found this dishwasher to be very disappointing. The top rack consistently does not get the glasses clean and the silverware is sporadically dirty, quite often. I have tried different loading techniques but it makes no difference, and test I do use rinse aid. I would not recommend this model. I was impressed by the internal stainless steel construction and price, but I am overwhelmingly disappointed by the performance.

Posted .Hi PPaul,
I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed with your Dishwasher. If the dishes aren't coming clean, try cleaning the spray nozzles as instructed in the User Manual and in the Troubleshooting Guide in the Support section of Samsung's website. It's also recommended that you have your home's hot water heater set between 120°F and 140°F for best cleaning and drying results.
I hope this helps improve your experience!

Worst Dishwasher of my life!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's just me and my daughter and we don't use many dishes and nearly clean them before placing inside the washer. Put on sanitize, put on heavy wash, wash twice - still comes out dirty! This is just the worst washer. I replaced my 10 yr old Whirlpool Gold Series with this one. And the old one is a million times better. Was just updating the color. BIG mistake. Sold my old washer and this one is horrible. Going in to Best Buy with a rack full of dirty dishes and demanding a different dishwasher. Repair person came out several times and replaced everything. He says there is nothing wrong with it - it just doesn't clean dishes that are nearly clean when I put them in there. DO NOT BUY!!!

Worthless soap dispenser
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is POORLY designed. The soap dispenser needs ample space to open. So basically if you like to maximize the space of your dishwasher, this is NOT the dishwasher for you. It washes fine. It's quiet. But the soap dispenser is by far the most annoying part. I shouldn't have to cross my fingers and hope it opened up during the cycle.

Great dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had dishwasher one month quiet and has done a great job of cleaning dishes. I installed it myself (I am not mister fix-it) was not hard followed the instructions took about one hour. The straps to secure unit at the top was the hardest to install. Overall seems to be a good quality unit and does a good job of cleaning dishes.

DO NOT Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher is terrible. The dishes never come out clean and never dry. I don't know what idiot designed the racks, but I've lost half of my glasses because they fall over when loading. Before we're ready to wash, we have to store the glasses on their sides to prevent breakage as you move the racks. I wouldn't take another one of these if it was given to me at no cost. All it's good for is storage when you don't have time to wash the dishes by hand since that's the only way you'll get them clean!

Samsung No go washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never write reviews. Ever. But I feel it is my duty to give this product one star. I have all Samsung products and last year I bought the whole appliance set for a great deal, or so I thought. But the dishwasher stinks. It only empties the soap container 50% of the time so I end up washing them over and over. So much for the efficiency. I use Costco brand detergent he but nothing helps. The microwave is ok. The fridge is horribly small and the ice dispenser shoots ice in every direction. The oven is just ok but the glass is tough to keep clean. I cook everyday and you can sure tell. If I would have know I never would have bought them. Bummer Samsung. Guess you can't have it all. One star rating for the entire set.

Questionable Longevity and Durability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model appears to the be an update to the unit my wife and I purchased in November 2010. This past week, our dishwasher stopped working mid-cycle and began displaying error code 5E, or "over-level water error." I referenced the troubleshooting guide in the manual, which states "Functional error. Close the water supply valve and go to your house circuit breaker panel, set the dishwasher's circuit breaker switch to off, and then contact an authorized Samsung service center." I couldn't find any contact information for said service center, so I started doing some research online. It seems this error code is common for this product, with the end results varying from costly service repairs to complete product replacement. That said, I managed to find one helpful video on YouTube and attempted to repair the unit myself by cleaning the water supply tank, which was clogged by a combination of mold and food particles. I also removed the lower screen and drain hose to check for potential blockages. After spending almost four hours on that effort, I reconnected the unit and attempted a normal cycle - only to receive the same error code. I subsequently read a few more reviews online and most users reported that electrical panel replacement is the next logical step, at a cost of $350, almost as much as the original cost of the unit. We're planning to purchase a new (non-Samsung) dishwasher today, after only receiving use for half the normal life span of this product (four years versus nine or ten years). Very disappointed.

Posted .I'm sorry to hear about your experience, GPIW. As you alluded to, the DW7933LRABB that this review is tagged under has been available only since 2012, so is not the model you owned. Authorized Samsung Service Centers can be reached by contacting Samsung through the online Support page or by calling 800-SAMSUNG. Since any given error code may have different causes, it's important to have the product evaluated by a qualified technician to ensure it's resolved both safely and efficiently.
Thank you,

Poor clean -- Then Died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as part of a Samsung 5-piece package. It never washed dishes well, no matter what we tried. It took forever on cycles and finally, it died 23 months into use. Pretty bad.

Design Flaws = poor efficiency
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This dishwasher appears to be licensed from LG as it almost replicates the layout and design of their earlier models - which were great BTW. The problem is that various slight changes have been made, most of which reduce the utility of the appliance. NOTE: The lower rack is NOT adjustable - just removable, as of 01/07/2014 this has not been corrected on the Samsung website despite making them aware of this. Also NOTE: You will not be able to get even the smallest standard sized US dinner plate in the lower rack if you have the upper rack on the lower position. The upper rack has somewhat narrow rows to accommodate glasses, meaning that almost all of ours which fit prior LG and Kenmore models do not fit without overlapping the tines - result, less efficient use of space and/or glasses/mugs/cups rubbing against each other. This results in our having to run this dishwasher about 50% more than our old one, unless of course we have a lot of tall glasses, in which case we cannot wash our dinner plates - so more like 100% in those circumstances. Individual wash efficiency does not mean anything if you have to run the machine more frequently. Apparently, according the Executive Customer Relations at Samsung the website claiming features the product does no have (adjustable lower rack) and being unable to accommodate anywhere near the place settings claimed are not grounds for a refund. So I strongly recommend you look carefully at this and any Samsung model in a store as a apparently anything published on their website is entirely advisory and should not be relied upon. I cannot believe any manufacturer could sell a dishwasher which cannot deal with a (smallest) standard sized dinner plate once the upper rack is lowered, but I am much less happy with the ECR response to my concerns. Lesson learned.

Very poor product. Only lasted 1.5 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought one for my mom in Sept 2013. She was out of state for the 1 year. Has been using it for 6 months and the flow meter broke. I had Sears come out and they quoted here $310 to fix it. The flow meter isn't covered under the warranty and the Sears guy told her don't ever buy a Samsung dishwasher they suck.
