DISAPPOINTED - Dead after 2 years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Samsung Top Control Built-in Dishwasher 2 years ago. From the start it would consistently leave the top rack cups with food particles plastered on the inside of the cups requiring hand washing and rewashing. This was annoying but by putting my taller cups on the bottom rack I was able to work around it. Now today, the top controls just stopped working. The dishwasher is out of warranty and after being on the phone with Samsung they are referring me to a repair company that is going to charge me $200 just to look at it, and any parts and labor beyond that. Looks like I will be buy a new dishwasher and will NEVER go with Samsung appliances again. I expect a dishwasher to last longer than 2 years, and after buying ALL NEW Samsung appliances 2 years ago (Fridge, Stove, Mircrowave, Dishwasher) I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the quality and support for sure.

I bought a whole set for my house when we moved in 5 years ago. The dryer has broke down 3 times at least it is easy to fix. The microwave blew up after 3 years. Now the dishwasher is broke and the parts are discontinued. I will never buy a Samsung appliance again.

All 3 are a mistake, but this dishwasher is an incubator for mold. I clean my dishwasher (take every part out that can come out) often. My dishes SMELL like mildew. It is disgusting. I will be replacing all Samsung products asap.

Awful dishwasher.

It barely washes the dishes. Sometimes when I remove dishes they have little moldy spots on them in fact that were not there when they went into the dishwasher. Also as I've seen other reviewers mention, it does not dry them whatsoever, although I am more concerned with the fact that it does not clean my dishes whatsoever. It is perplexing to me that this dishwasher has as many positive reviews as it does, all I can assume is they are all washing their dishes, then loading them into the dishwasher for a second washing?

I am an idiot for not buying the extended service plan with this cheap dishwasher. Something like this should be expected to last a minimum of 5 years, this one lasted 1. Samsung was very little help other than filing a service ticket with a third party repair company that will have to come out of pocket if they can even fix it after everything getting soaked.

In general, it performed adequately at best when it was working -- the filter would constantly get clogged. Avoid!
