This was our second bottom freezer/french door refrigerator, our first one having died after eight years. (i won't impugn the brand, but our outgoing refrigerator was not a Samsung product). This satisfies our needs - plenty of space, reasonably well-organized, ice maker and filtered water dispenser that are completely inside. Nice features - controls in the refrigerator that make individual drawers colder or more/less humid, icemaker shut-off button that is easy to reach (with the fridge temperature controls), bright LED lights, almost too bright, and one shelf that slides back to accommodate tall things if needed. Freezer drawers are roomy, which is nice. small downside - the stainless steel face tends to get fingerprint marks, so go get a bottle of stainless steel cleaner if that's an issue.

So far so good. took delivery yesterday,,the delivery team was excellent,,Brent and his helper hand carried the refer into the house and had it set up in a matter of minutes. Although this unit is only slightly bigger than my old 20 year old unit,,it is roomier and surprisingly quiet.. I especially like the separate digital controls for the freezer and refer and they are easy to use. I Like the unit and I have to say the price wasn't bad either.

This Samsung is an excellent quality fridge! Have had mine for a few months now and absolutely love it. Was going to get a different brand of fridge, but it was delivered with a broken electrical plug. Sent it back and decided to go with a better brand. This Samsung was not much more in price. Am a fan of Samsungs other quality products, so I figured the fridge would be of the same quality. Am glad I did go with this one because this fridge does not disappoint! Everything on this one seems sturdy and of quality material. I love the look if a fridge without the water and ice dispenser on the door. Just looks so clean. Everything works as expected and I love the digital temperature selection. Very highly recommended!

My fridge has so much room in it. I like that it's quiet.

We've only had the fridge for a week, but we are very pleased with it so far. Fortunately, we have not experienced any of the loud popping noises that other reviewers have had (not yet anyway). There is plenty of room and the adjustable shelves are right where we want them now. The only complaints I have come up with are minor: the stainless surface fingerprints too easily and the internal water dispenser is not as cold as I had hoped (it's cool--not cold). I am really impressed with the ice maker--it pumps out ice quickly! The kids love it because they can reach the ice and all of their stuff without their stool now. We look forward to many years of service from our new Samsung fridge.

We re-modeled our kitchen and decided to purchase all new appliances and this item was the primary reason for the reno. We were going to have all white/ivory appliances, my husband fell in love with the interior LED light. We have been using the refrigerator for a few weeks and so far, we love the features. It is not an all-silent equipment - considering the construction is solid. We are able to smartly manage our food especially the leftovers - no more finding "experimental containers" hiding in the back of the shelves. I don't think the freezer is as big as my 19cf top freezer refrigerator though. But because we can turn over the food faster now (since we can spot them right away), freezer space has not been a problem but actually help us shop better. The only thing I will improve on is the double door closing - we have to close the left door first before the right one can be closed or risking the clashing due to the insulation piece that is part of the left door. Overall, we love this refrigerator as part of our new kitchen.

had this refrigerator for less than 6 months now. It is super quiet and works perfectly. i like how it has multiple short shelves that can be adjusted accordingly unlike the smaller refrigerators that have long shelves. However, I don't like how there are droplets of water on the rubber seals of the door. I have to constantly wipe them away. I don't know if it is the same for everyone else or just my refrigerator. Maybe it is defected and the seals are not tight.

We bought this French door Samsung because we had one like it previously. The compressor noise showed up soon after we bought it. Before long, a pattern became apparent, with the noise occurring monthly for a 3-4 day period, off and on all day. The noise is loud and irritating and certainly does not seem normal. I did not like this situation, but was willing to put up with the monthly irritation. Now, however, the refrigerator has been making the loud buzzing sounds for 8 days straight, off and on, all day. I contacted Samsung only to be told that I could not submit a request for service as this is a NORMAL SITUATION, as buzzing is a normal reaction with a compressor. I cannot believe it. They are essentially saying I am stuck with their inferior product, like it or not. I am completelly disgusted with Samsung and will never buy anything from them again. This is lousy customer service.

Great color, lots of room and very easy to clean, I’ve had it for 4 years and still running strong.

This is the first Samsung kitchen appliance I have purchased and will be the last. They contract out the warranty service to mom and pop service centers which provide horrible customer service. I called over a month ago for a problem with my refrigerator which is less than a year old and am still waiting for service to be performed. The earliest appointment available was for one week after I placed the initial complaint, and that was missed due to the technician running late. After multiple rescheduled appointments, today I was to have service between 8am-noon. At 11:45 when the technician had not yet arrived I called the repair center which was the designated Samsung Warranty service center, and they told me that as of today they no longer service Samsung products. Not only did they fail to call and notify me of the cancelled appointment, but when I inquired why they hung up on me! I cannot recommend a $2500 refrigerator which malfunctions within a year of purchase when the company doesn't stand behind its product enough to provide the minimal acceptable warranty service.

Love this refrigerator, delivery was as expected, they called the day before with a ballpark time, and they were on time. We went from a smaller top freezer refrigerator to this, its so nice not to have to bend over to find things. This one is so much larger for just 3 adults it seems HUGE. We chose this one because the water was inside, which was better for us, as we have a large dog that liked to push the water or ice button in our older side by side. Plus we don' t lose the door space that an ice/water dispenser takes up. I wish it made ice faster, but we have yet to run out. overall a good buy.

My old refrigerartor was on it's last leg. I was in the process of buying new furniture as well as shopping for a new fridge. I had originally looked at the higher end model of the LG ( with the door in the door model ) With my budget for furniture, I wasn't going to be able to buy the larger LG as well as all the furniture. I looked at some more simple models, such as this Samsung and decided to go with it, in keeping in my budget. I had read a lot of good reviews on this refrigerator, so I wasn't at all hesitant to purchase it. I'm glad that I did!!! It is everything that I need...Size...color (stainless)...lots of storage in the door....and you might note, "Samnsung was the only manufacturer that has a design to allow the bottom crisper drawer to open without the refrigerator doors being open all the way", all other models of different brands would not ( the fridge doors had to be open ALL the way in order for the crisper drawer to open) Just something to keep in mind about Samsung products! I love this fridge, no regets at all on this purchase!!

NOTE: THIS REVIEW POTENTIALLY PERTAINS TO ALL NEWER SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS. Five years ago we bought a Samsung RF261BEAESR refrigerator. I try to make the best consumer decision possible and a big issue with me is the environmental impact of an appliance relative to other models on the market. Unfortunately, we learned after the purchase of this refrigerator that Samsung does not use recyclable water filters. So every six months or so, we have to toss this heavy plastic cylinder into the trash. I have a problem with that - especially given that GE and other companies DO offer water filters that can be recycled. I would have never bought this refrigerator had I known this. I contacted Samsung, and I was told that they would not do anything to address my concern. Go pound sand, in other words. I even reached out to USEPA, whose Energy Star designation adorns my refrigerator, and they did not seem to care. Great, you induce environmentally-conscious people to buy a frig thinking they are buying an environmentally-acceptable model because of the Energy Star designation, only to discover six months in that you will be generating plastic waste for as long as you have the refrigerator. Get with the times, Samsung!

We've owned this fridge for just over a year and have been very pleased with it. I was initially concerned about the loud popping noises others have complained about, and while it has made some minor noises here and there, it has been nothing like what others have mentioned. Space around the fridge is very important so it can properly cool and not overheat. Follow the instructions in the manual and allow for that space and it will work great. We love the open space that the french doors provide and the spacious bottom freezer.

Door shelf bins are all broken. Very poor design. Molded bins are much more durable from other models / manufacturers.

I love everything about this french door fridge except there is a real design flaw with the ice maker. The ice maker sensor doesn't quite work right, so it makes a little too much ice in a pile at the back of the ice bin. What happens after it builds up if you open the freezer drawer, the ice chute knocks several cubes back into the area behind and under the drawer. Every week, I have to use a kabob skewer and fish out a cookie sheet full of ice cubes from under the drawer. I have been trying to get service from Samsung but I'm running into difficulty with their bloated service request process.

We bought this because of an open box but really like it. We did not want ice and water in door .

If I had known how much noise this fridge would constantly make, I would not have purchased it. I went through two replacements because I thought this amount of noise had to be a defect, but now I'm not so sure it isn't just pretty normal for this model. The first one was loud enough to be extremely annoying, and an appliance repair man agreed with me. It made a humming noise whenever it ran, which was about half the time, accompanied by a ticking sound I think from the linear compressor. The second one was about half as loud but also had a loud popping sound that I don't remember from the first one, I think from the fluids being compressed and expanding. This was still way too loud for a brand new $1600 appliance in my opinion. The third one is the quietest but I think it is still too noisy for a brand new appliance, however I'll be keeping this one and just leaving well enough alone. The fridge actually functions very well and has a good look and layout, but the noise level makes it very annoying to be in the same room with. Before buying this fridge I had a much higher opinion of Samsung and bought this fridge and a Samsung washer/dryer set and a Samsung TV. I'm not super impressed with any of them, although I have no complaint about their customer service. I give the sales staff at Best Buy 5 stars as they were very helpful and friendly.
