My wife and I were happy to pay a little more for our Samsung Fridge, it performed well in consumer ratings and had the look we wanted. Purchased in Mar 2012, installed in June 2012, and just spent 6 days (summer days) without refrigeration. The technician, and there was only one Samsung had in our area - so had to wait 3 days for him, removed a panel and new exactly what to do, and was done in about 20 mins. Because, he said, they see the same problem with all the Samsungs they service. He had the replacement parts with him, it's such a known problem. The Defrost Sensor failed and the Drain Heaterclip is not engineered nor installed properly. Spent way too much time on the phone with Samsung Customer Service and the Executive Customer Service, because they were so incompetent, that they created two service #s because my wife and had to share the responsibility of spending several hours on the phone. And don't think the "Executive" Customer Service was any more helpful. They only apologized that there was nothing they could do and that they weren't willing to stand by their product by covering the repair. Not even mentioning the cost of the food we had to throw out and ice we had to keep buying - all because of their faulty sensor and heaterclip. Oh, and the automatic ice maker produces about a dozen ice cubes a day, and they tend to end up all over the freezer for some reason. Probably just more poor engineering. I will not buy another Samsung product, if this is what I can expect from their products and service.

The refrigerator it’s self from the inside and functions are great, however, the handle brook and couldn’t replace it

I like that it has an option to make ice quickly. it is very roomy. what I love/hate is that the water is so hidden and tiny, which leaves room for more space in the fridge. what I don't like about it is that it makes it difficult to get water. you can't push the water button with a plastic/flimsy cup. has to be a hard push and space is too tight to fit your hand in there to push it and have your cup catch the water. also, the button is very sensitive and it pops out of place frequently and when that happens the water won't stop squirting. so, I wish they would correct this, maybe make the button sturdier. aside from that i do like this fridge and I would still choose this one again unless they somehow fix the water button. but if you want a fridge that has a small footprint when it comes to the water, there isn't another one that's i could find like it.

I waited 6 weeks after purchase to write this review to make sure every thing was OK. Every thing is GREAT. I looked for 2 years to get a new refrigerator. This is exactly what I was looking for.

This fridge has a ton of space. I love that the freezer drawers are not racks like the other brand fridges. And, the ice maker is awesome. This fridge just looks very sleek and really gives my kitchen an upgraded look. This refrigerator is also very quiet. I love it.

Samsung should stick to electronics. We purchased the French door refrigerator about 3 years ago. We have had to have it repaired 3 times for water leaking into the crisper bins. I now have to have another problem repaired. It fails to defrost properly thus causing me to have to essentially disassemble the inside of the unit and defrost manually with a hair dryer. What a joke of a refrigerator. I would steer clear of Samsung appliances if at all possible. Service is routed through a call center in Miami and then a local contractor is dispatched. Local techs either cannot work on this product, citing lack of available information, or they flat out choose not to work on them. I am very disappointed in this after what we spent on the initial purchase, and now having problem after problem, we will have to buy another one. Complete joke.

This refrigerator looks good and performs good also. It has a ton of space especially on the doors. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is the ice maker is very slow. It takes a couple of days to fill the tray.

This is seriously a sweet refrigerator. Temps help veggies last longer. Nice and bright. Has enough space for everything.

I have had this fridge for close to a year now, and it still works flawlessly. Plus it has a lot of space. Company always complinets how nice it is.

Just purchased this an the incredible price of $1535, and that's $35 more because it's Stainless Platinum. This surface, as the title here suggests, will not get fingerprints. And for those hung up on decorating their appliances with pictures, it's also magnetic. More size and depth than most models, this is a grand bargain.

Please be aware of a problem that most Samsung products suffer from. Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

I've had this unit now for about a month and has been awesome to have! The first one that was delivered ended up being a lemon, didn't work properly from day 1 causing me to lose all my food that was placed in it. We love the LED blue lighting and the spacious areas, and when we bought it, it was on sale for $1,399! So, it's been a wonderful value and purchase. The indoor water supply takes some time to get used to, but has been great to have.

Our order and delivery process through Best Buy was a bit rocky on a number of levels, but in the end we are happy customers. This is a great all-around refrigerator. The capacity far exceeds our previous side by side, and it is far more energy efficient. The refrigerator is a great value for for the return, so do what I did, and spring for the extended Best Buy warranty. I have claimed failed items in the past with them, and and they have always pulled through. Recommended.

Great product, but water dispenser stopped working 2 years after purchase and literally 0 appliance repair companies in my area will work on a Samsung fridge. According to every appliance repair company I called, Samsung is very adament that soecific processes are followed for warranty and replacement, so most companies refuse to deal with Samsung. I even called Geek Squad (since I bought the fridge through BestBut), but Geek Squad forwarded me to Samsung to have a repair ticket made. 2 days after the ticket was made, Samsung called me and said "sorry, no technicians are in your area that work on Samsung appliances so you will need to find one on your own or you can buy a new fridge". Really??? This was Samsung's reply??? What a joke!!! I will never recommend anyone buy a Samsung fridge. Samsung phones may be great, but their appliances are horribly difficult to get any repair help with. Ridiculous

I absolutely love my refrigerator! Great style and so much space inside, love it!!!!

For those who don't want to read the whole story: Fridge did not keep constant temp at all. Samsung couldn't find an issue after 4 visits while under warranty. Both Samsung service as well as the appliance were sub par. We purchased this fridge about a year ago. There were times the fridge was really loud, but it didn't bother me that much. Looking back there were times that dairy spoiled quicker than it should and we had ice crystals on some of our items. I did chalk it up to maybe some of the opening and closing of doors causing it. Until I took frozen chicken chunks (natural type with little breading) and I saw that the breading was coming off. I unplugged the fridge and replugged it to find out the actual temp was 50 for the fridge and in the 20s for the freezer. Called Samsung under warranty to have them fix. A long week later they came out and claimed nothing was wrong and the fridge was too close to the wall in the back. Still kept happening so using a thermometer, I saw the temp ranged from 34 to 55 at times. The freezer went from -20 to 25 at times. This caused the ice crystals as well as dairy to go bad quickly. Second visit was a week later and this time he decided the sensors weren't right. A week after that he came out with a new control panel and sensors. Still wouldn't keep temp. A week later another tech came out. He was supposed to replace the seal system. Tech came out with no parts. He took apart part of the fridge to see if he could see anything. He found nothing wrong. He also broke the bottom drawer doing so. At that point I had it with Samsung and their incompetence. They wanted to come out a fifth time (we're talking 5 weeks without a fridge at that point) and finally they agreed to get my money back. If you look at other sites for this fridge, the reviews are much lower and less people would purchase again. So this is an honest review of a year of use only to have it hauled away. No more Samsung appliances to me based on how this one didn't work and how bad they treated me.

I shopped a long time before making this purchase because we lived 9 years with a refrigerator that we hated (side by side). This has all the room we could hope for in an easily accessable layout. Thought we'd miss the ice on top but gave it up for more space there. We don't mind getting the ice from the bottom freezer because the tray pulls right out when the freezer is pulled out. Really like the "assist" freezer handle that breaks the seal and lets even a fully loaded freezer drawer glide right out. Very happy and hope we have this refrigerator for a very long time

Due to horror stories from friends and family, we chose not to hook up the water or ice maker on the unit. Everything is accessible to all family members with no reaching or jumping required. Digital temperature control allows you to dial in the desired settings and LED lights are a big improvement over incandescent bulbs.

This is a beautiful refrigerator and has all of the features we were looking for and lots of room for everything. However, it makes LOUD CRACKING NOISES at random times. Apparently the materials used in the construction of the unit expand and contract and that is what creates the noise. Nothing can be done to fix this issue. The noises are so loud we can hear them all the way upstairs in our 3000 square foot home, they are definitely loud enough to wake a light sleeper nearby. So if you buy this appliance, just be aware tha loud noises are in your future.

Bought this unit about 2 months ago. This refrigerator for the most part has been great. We love the French-door style which puts the most used items at eye-level. The LED lighting on the inside illuminates the inside very well. However there have been some issues. Frost develops on the freezer drawer rails and eventually the drawer gets stuck. You cannot pull the drawer all the way out and you have to let it "thaw" to get it open more. The inside water dispenser has broken. The Geek Squad is coming out next week to replace the valve switch. Just a word of warning, this is a nice unit but there are some issues with the design.
