    Great product; LOUSY install!

    Installers 30 minutes late; with a four-hour window! Seemed hesitant, not helpful; would not work with the water line, I had to do that myself! Good grief. Took too long, very slow. Didn't even take off the tape or film--and the door had a dent :(.

    I did love this refrig & I am really particular about my appliances. Purchased in Aug 2012 - we have had to ice maker replaced 3 times already. We have extended warranty so we have paid -0- out of pocket . it was not for ice maker, I would give this rating higher marks.

    This is our second one of the same model. The first was damaged and it had a loud popping noise. It was replaced by Bestbuy and the second one had no damage but the same popping noise and it's constant Samsung told us that it need to acclimate to the environment and that was in march, this is August and the same annoying noise persists. Now Samsung is telling us that they have no service person in our area and they can only offer a refund at Best Buy. The problem is, the regrigerator is now 500 dollars more. Samsungs service is terrible. Do yourself a favor and don't buy Samsung products. I know I will not in the future. Bestbuy is also culpable since they told us that they had service persons in our area and there are none.

    Had this for 2 years. The ice maker works occasionally. The fan periodically gets iced over and makes a very loud noise. Now, the refrigerator is not cooling the food properly and food is going bad. I'll update this review showing how much I had to pay to get it repaired, after only 2 years filled with issues.

    Our fridge that we bought in July 2017 (2 years) stopped making ice, I suppose the beginning of June. Then the freezer failed shortly after. Because it was outside the 1 year Parts and Labor warranty we had to pay to have technician to come out. The coolant system, however is under a 5 year warranty. It took over a week for technician to come out first time, to determine that there was a coolant leak. Then took 2 MORE weeks to have technician come out, and determine that we have a coolant leak, but could not find the actual leak. So he charged up the system, to come back 1 week later do determine we do actually have a coolant leak. Now he says Samsumg will replace the fridge. However when he left he let out too much coolant, and again our freezer doesn't work. First call with samsung to get fridge replacement going they asked for verification for purchase, and they said it may take 6 - 8 weeks for replacement!! Thank goodness our fridge still works. I called again today, and got the most condescending customer service person ever, saying he will "personally" take care of it. I'm not sure sure he did a darn thing. I will call again tomorrow to see if I can get a date our fridge replacement will show up. The only problem is our fridge replacement will again be Samsung.

    Defective on install & horrible Pacific Sales

    Everything great until installers got in the house. They bent the water line so it starting leaking and we had to get the plumber over on last Saturday afternoon. He had enough time to get there as when I asked installers to check the level of fridge(as the Samsung manual says they need to) they had to go out and buy a level--that took them an hour, so plumber made it it time to jury rig a fix. Over the phone customer service promised a small credit --but after giving my cc number to 3 different people over 5 days --no credit. The vertical door hinge doesn't "trap" in the top channel so the air come in middle and warms up the compartment unless you manually close it. Samsung won't come out#first they set up appointment ; then they cancelled it# saying it's and install probalem and BestBuy/PS "installers" say it is a Samsung problem. And the ice maker is making ice very very slowly with plenty of pressure. And the assistant store manager says he doesn't have aurthority and can't call anyone who does --company policy. Draw your own conclusions.

    Just a terrible product from a terrible company

    It started leaking almost immediately. Sent out a repair guy under warranty who put in a new leak kit and defroster kit. Fixed the problem for about 9 months (just long enough to get out of warranty). Called twice and online chat once to see if they'd stand by their own product that failed twice in 18 months, and they would not. This is the last time I buy Samsung anything. I wish I could offer zero stars.

    Tonight was the 3rd time I have had to manually defrost (aka, hair dryer) my RF261BEAESR fridge (2nd in 2 months). Samsung has a real issue with this problem in this line of fridges. It starts out with icing in the vents. Wait long enough, and the fan starts making noise. If you wait any longer, your food goes bad. I can't even give it 2 stars because the stainless steel on the doors is paper thin, and it never cleans completely, and the shelves are completely haggard after 3 years of use. Did I mention I had to fix the water dispenser too? I hate this fridge almost as much as the matching dishwasher that keeps losing sensors. No more Samsung appliances ever again for me. Maybe they should ask their phone or TV division to take over.

    The fridge seems well built, has lots of space and convenient shelves for different types of products. We elected to not have an external water dispenser and this particular model fits the bill.

    I purchased all Samsung appliances (fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove, washer, dryer)! Never again, the quality of Samsung is AWFUL! I regret purchasing these appliances.

    This refrigerator has a lot of features for the price. The only problem I've had is that this refrigerator makes lots of strange noises. Don't know if it suppose to sound like that or if something is broken.

    Watch out it dents!

    Hi there. My wife and I bought this refrigerator as a replacement. We wanted a brushed steel fridge. This one looks awesome. The inside is amazing and looks great although it doesn't have any specialty areas for butter or eggs so they just go on a regular shelf. The shelves on the doors do not fit butter in them too well. The worst part is that it dents very very easily! We had a stainless steel fridge before this one that NEVER got a dent in 13 years of owning it. This one got a dent after 4 days! It's crazy. However, bestbuy is awesome and they let us return it. While choosing a new fridge, I noticed that all the Samsung fridges in the showroom also have dents! After doing a bit of research online, I found out that Samsung uses something they call "Platinum Steel", which is not "stainless steel". It is the only steel on which magnets work, that's because it is super thin and it dents! Imagine what this thing will look like after 10 years! Not acceptable. The functionality is great but the finish is terrible.

    Although I loved the refrigerator, after 6 years the sealing system broke and Samsung was unwilling to help repair the system. They said they could only give me a 50% guarantee that they could fix it and it would cost $1000 to "try" to repair it. So, after spending $2000 on a refrigerator I now have to go purchase a new one, I spent countless hours on the phone with Samsung asking them to meet me half way on helping me fix the problem but they refused to help, They said the warranty expired after 5 years and there was nothing they would do to help. I expect appliances to break, but I also expect the company to help resolve the problem and not tell me I just need to go buy another refrigerator.So, needless to say, I will not ever purchase a Samsung product again.

    The Fridge is so loud and we brought it to Samsung attention. They said its just a loud compressor and thats how it was made. Its hasn't even been a year yet and it keeps getting louder.

    Just after a year it died and we lost the food

    After just over a year our Samsung refrigerator died. Lost the food, facing repair charges, simply disgusted. The Samsung dishwasher does a poor job cleaning dishes. Move on to a different brand. The 20 year old Kenmore we had replaced just got plugged in and it is running just fine.

    If you like popping sounds and random noises then this fridge is for you. The first time it happened my wife thought somebody had broke into our home.Owned it for 2 weeks and returned promptly to Best Buy. The sales guy Joey on the other hand was an awesome guy and set me up with new LG 25 cu ft fridge. Will see how that goes..
