    They only last a few years...

    After the fifth and final year of warranty. The crisp tray has become a big water collection tray. Cannot figure out where or why it fills with water. I hate to do reviews and only dk them when a product becomes a has set to own. We have had three service calls since owning- now we will oay for them, out of warranty.

    I've had this refrigerator for a month and a half. It already has a dent in it (is the material used that weak???) and it makes random LOUD POPPING SOUNDS!!! I can hear it throughout the house. It's especially wonderful when you're trying to fall asleep. STAY AWAY from Samsung refrigerators!!!!!

    I wanted something simple and this product has a good balance of features, size, and looks for the price. Unfortunately, this thing is noisy, so noisy it gave me a headache. I returned and exchanged for another thinking I had a dud but the second one was even louder and it even made a sound when closing the door, as if something was rattling against a moving part...I do not recommend.

    Factory Defect

    Samsung has a bad history for its Ice Makers etc. There is Class Action with them. Water Leaks, Fridge not cold enough. Back of Fridge freezing up. I have had to unplug my Ice Maker due to leaking water all over my new floor. A very long process to get anything resolved but people are doing it. I bought the extended warranty. Didn't help me as it ran out. Will not buy Samsun Appliances

    After 20 months the compressor went out. Finally got a new compressor installed after 3 weeks. Samsung paid for the compressor but we still had to pay over $500 in service calls and parts the 5 year warranty on the "sealed system" did not cover. The new compressor stopped working after 3 months. This time we were out of town and came home to a very smelly and hot fridge full of rotten food. Service tech was out and now we are waiting to see if we will get a refund on the fridge which we consider a "lemon". Seems pointless to install a 3rd compressor in a 2 year old fridge. It will more than likely fail like the others.

    Samsung's slow service ruins their products

    After my refrigerator has stopped cooling twice within the first 5 months, I am in need of warranty service from Samsung. The quickest service I can get is going to be in 10 days. Wow! There must be a whole lot of broken Samsung items out there to make the wait that long! 10 days with no refrigerator is ridiculous!

    I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS REFRIG, junk! Nothing but Headaches, loud noises, banging sounds, finger prints, BELIEVE me don't buy it, I have called Geek Squad in 4 months of ownership 10+ times for services. Difficult to explain entire ordeal, but buy another brand IS MY RECOMMENDATION. I replaced my 30 year old Amana issue free with this piece of shxx!! Sad.

    Broken after two months

    I wish I had read all these reviews about the refrigerator breaking before I bought my own. Just like so many of these other reviewers, mine is broken after just two months. It had been making the popping noises the whole time, as someone else mentioned, then I woke up Sunday morning to all of my frozen food thawed out. Best Buy had a guy out here on Tuesday, but he has to come back with the part (hopefully tomorrow). So, far, a lot of lost food and 2 days taking time off work for a brand new refrigerator. I'll never buy a Samsung appliance again.

    Spacious but refrigeration is important

    We've loved this refrigerator until, the refrigeration stopped working. Called Samsung customer service to request a repair (refrigeration repair parts and labor is covered for 5 years on the warranty). Samsung can't get a repair person out until almost two weeks! We're on Day 7 of no refrigeration. I have a Samsung TV and cell phone and refrigerator. I'm so frustrated with and upset about this refrigerator defect and the terrible warranty response I will never buy a Samsung product again. What good is a warranty on a refrigerator if it takes 2 weeks to get a repair scheduled?

    WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN!

    We have had this refrigerator for approx. a year and a half. So far we have had the water dispenser break, the door seal stays open each time you open the door and then bangs into the other when you try to close it, and most recently the center water control unit (?) has to be replaced. A technician came out and said it will be $250. to just fix the center water control unit fix and says parts on on backorder. He was having issues finding the door close part and said we may have to buy a new door? Not happy with this product at all.

    2 busted fridges

    I got this fridge after having to replace a whirlpool side by side that the freezer cracked on it. I have had 2 of these that the controller board quit working and it quit cooling. I have lost everything in it. The first one I got was bum from the get go, finally got one that worked for about a year. Then I noticed the icemaker quit making ice, ok no biggie, I figured the filter needed changed, about 24 hours after it stopped cooling all together. So we replaced it at the time we couldn't find one in store that we liked, so we gave it another shot. Here we are again same thing happened. I WILL NOT be getting another one.

    Do NOT purchase a Samsung Refrigerator!!!

    After 1 year of owning this fridge the top stopped cooling. Called Samsung sorry it's out of warranty. So I looked the problem up online, once this starts happening (between years 1 to 3) it continues to happen around yearly at a cost of about $200 each time. Samsungs customer service will not recognize this as a problem! Once again DO NOT Purchase a Samsung refrigerator!!!

    Faulty Icemaker Design

    Buyer beware! We purchased this fridge about two years ago, and I have loved it up until this week. The ice maker has stopped working. The tray fills up but does not dump the ice. In addition, water now leaks into the area below the wide deli drawer and freezes. We have to pull the bin out and remove the ice or the tray sticks and won't pull out. I went to the internet, thinking there would surely be a solution to the icemaker and water leakage. To my dismay I found multiple accounts of the ice makers on the Samsung fridge, not only my model, that quit working within 1-2 years of purchase with no solutions. Many people have had repairmen out multiple times, replacing the entire unit, but it continues to stop working shortly thereafter. Samsung has no solution to this problem. Please check this out before purchasing the fridge. We have also had to do a self-repair of the swinging hinge on the left door that broke after one year. If I had known what I know now, I would have gone with a different brand.

    I am appalled at the poor customer support and minimal warranty on parts for my refrigerator. We purchased in 2019, and experienced significant condensation with water pooling in various drawers. After we discovered how pervasive the issue was, we had it fixed (already out of warranty). We then got a 90 day warranty on the new part which was very suspicious (only 90 days on a brand new part?). And go figure! About 150 days later, condensation! Ka Ching! Now they want to come back and replace the part for a THIRD time in roughly 2 years. A total rip off. I had heard mixed things about Samsung refrigerators but I guess I’d have never thought that in such a scenario (same new part failing twice within two years) they would not acknowledge this to be a Samsung and not an “us” problem.

    Do not buy samsung!!!

    I had this fridge for two years. It just stopped working. It doesn't keep the fridge or the freezer cool. I unplugged it for a couple days and then it worked for three more days. I came home from work and it was 60 degrees in both areas. Samsung won't do anything about this. Save yourself a $900 repair bill!!!

    We've had this thing for 6 months and we've had two things break --- a fan that was freezing over (and making a loud noise whenever it was closed, not exactly jet airplane loud but enough to annoy the whole house) --- Samsung came out and fixed that. Then the water dispenser broke. It suddenly started spraying water like a poltergeist --- and now it's just dead. Also: working with Samsung on customer support has been impossibly bad. Inept. One rep pretended she couldn't hear me on the phone, then hung up and closed the ticket. Another one opened a second ticket and 2 weeks later I haven't heard anything back from them. My last fridge was unsightly -- but it worked. This is the most disappointing appliance I've ever owned.

    Do not buy this refrigerator. It is JUNK.

    This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. The coils freeze up every few months causing the fridge to stop cooling and causing loss of all the food in the refrigerator. Samsung refuses to even look at it. I make an appointment then I receive a call telling me the problem has been considered resolved and the tech will not be coming. It takes 2 days to thaw the coils leaving me without a fridge during that time. This appliance is absolute junk and it is only 2 years old. We are trashing it and buying a new one and it won't be a Samsung.

    Rust, Easily Dents, & Popping Noises! Big Mistake

    We could not be more disappointed with our decision to purchase this refrigerator. It scratches easily, dents easily, has rust spots, and makes all kinds of popping noises. Not Best Buy's issue? Not Samsung's issue?! This must be very cheap "Stainless Steel"? Other family member have had their stainless steel refrigerators for years and they show no signs of rust or scratches!

    Extremely loud popping noises

    Fridge often makes extremely loud popping sounds. Sounds have not disappeared with time. They can be heard on the second floor. Samsung service has not helped, claiming that these are normal sounds. Every other fridge I've had or used does not make these sounds. Would not purchase again, and am warning all friends against purchasing Samsung appliances.
