A beautiful design and engineered item, that has a couple quirks. I don't use an ice-maker, so I left mine unhooked, and switched "off" on the front panel. As other reviewers have stated, it makes a "cracking" sound when cooling. I can tell you how to fix this problem. The entire unit must be level, and by that I mean exact. Get a plane and check all 4 sides on the top. My kitchen floor was somewhat uneven. Do whatever you must, to assure that it's totally level. I put one of those rubber/plastic sliders under 1 rear caster wheel, and used the adjustable rubber feet under the front two to get it totally level with food inside. Also, make sure it's at least 2 inches from the rear wall, mine is 2.75 to be exact. These 2 things made a monumental difference for me. It went from sounding like it was breaking apart when cooling, to running quiet and smoothly. I turned the power saver to "on" which disabled the heater inside that evaporates moisture. If you live in a dry climate like me, this will save you money. If you live in a wet climate, or get moisture forming between shelves, turn this switch to "off" which turns on the heater. (counter-Intuitive I know....) I set the fridge temp to 40, not 37 as Samsung recommended. This is the absolute highest starting point that one should use, according to experts, but it also made the fridge cooler run easier, and more efficient. Lastly, I set the temp of the French Door Freezer to -3 from zero. I did this because I don't like to dig my ice-cream out with a pick-ax. I was also getting some ice crystals forming on frozen foods. This also increased the efficiency again. Now my wife and I love this Refrigerator/Freezer It's brrr...fect!

We didn't want an in door ice maker / water dispenser because of the kids. This is a great option for us with a large family and we still get ice. Quiet, lots of room.

We have only had it about a month but I like the way it operates and its set up. But the best thing about it was the price - we got a great deal because it was and open the carton --it has two small dings on it but that doesn't bother me. We had another refrigerator in our house before we moved here almost identical to this one. It was older and it ran much louder than this one and it's icemaker was its weak point. So far so good on this one it's quieter and the icemaker works perfectly so far.

I was a little disappointed that it did not come with a filter and this was not mentioned in the description of the product. But other than that I love it. It works great, keeps my produce and dairy longer, and the stainless steel really sets my kitchen off. Great price too.

I finally replaced my old clunking fridge with this one. I did read a lot of reviews. Some good some bad. So far it has been great and have had none of the problems others have stated. It looks amazing and have got a lot of "wows" when it is seen. Very quiet. It is slightly larger than the specs say so make sure you have at least 36" wide clearance. I had to trim a little countertop and was still a tight squeeze.

If your like me hoping to buy a new refrigerator so you don’t have problems and looks good . Well this is not your option . This refrigerator builds ice under the drawer, water leaks off this refrigerator. It’s the worst refrigerator I have ever owned or seen . If you want more reassuring about not buying this refrigerator do yourself a favor and google search this refrigerator and see what ppl say .

Very good for us to use. It's quite and no noise ever been heard. Will definitely recommend friends to buy if they need a new refrigerator.

Ice maker in the freezer There is not a water dispenser This is what a refrigerator should be!!!!!! Very nice interior nice black finish on the outside just your basic refrigerator without all of the frills.

We bought this fridge in a Black Friday sale for $999 after our old one stopped making things cold... right after Thanksgiving, so all of our leftovers spoiled in about a week. This Samsung fridge is not only beautiful, but WICKED cold. It keeps food so much longer than our old fridge. It's incredibly spacious, and the bottom freezer is a welcome change to the standard top freezer design. No more bending over to see what's buried in the back of the fridge, it's all right there at close to eye level. The only downside is that it is quite noisy. Maybe it's just settling in because it's new, but I hear it creak and crack in the middle of the night, and the motor which flips the tray in the icemaker is pretty loud. On the upside, normal running volume isn't too bad, but not whisper quiet if that's what you're after. Bottom line: This is a great fridge for the normal price, and a freeking steal at $999. It's got more room than my wife and I could ever possibly need, the stainless steel french door design is quite beautiful, and the bottom freezer is a great quality of life improvement if you're currently working with the old top freezer design. Word to the wise: If you're buying this fridge to replace an old one.. measure the existing hole and check it against the dimensions TWICE. I'm currently remodeling my kitchen because the fridge didn't fit in the hole.. the fridge was so nice that I didn't want to send it back. I'd rather remodel my kitchen than get a different fridge.

Its works. However the doors must be pushed to close, thank goodness for the bell that rings if the door is left open for a few minutes. The doors are not automatic closers like most frig doors are. Since its our first Samsung appliance and our first frig sans water/ice dispenser in the outside door, I think we r doing well in that it still works and Im not complaining.Its called compromise for the right price. We've learned to push the door a tad harder to close it. The extra room is very nice and Im fine scooping my ice from its little box container. One thing I don't like is when the ice container fills up, its spills over into and under the trays and sometimes onto the floor but Ive learned to make sure I scoop from the back and then once its full, I will turn it off and use the ice thats there. We r a small family of 3 so this type of frig is no problem for us. However if we were a larger family, I'd opt for the outside water/ice dispenser and make sure the doors close automatically with no effort. Still we got it for a very good price (i waited for the holiday sales) and now Im waiting for Black Friday so I can purchase the Samsung matching dishwasher. The latter has had so many bad reviews, that i surely don't want to pay much for it. Had I known it was such a bad reviewed dishwasher I would not have purchased the frig because appliances must match in ones kitchen. Wish me luck with the samsung dishwasher...but we are happy (so far) with our frig.

This is a huge unit with some tech and features which are hits while others were completely missed. Pros Digital temperature settings - easy to set and use. Flash cooling - convenient if you're in a hurry to chill Great lighting - makes it easy to see everything French doors - take less space when open Open door warning - a nice feature to have since the doors don't, like single door units, self close. Cons French doors - need positive force to close Missing amenities No butter container that keeps butter a little warmer No wine holder to allow you to lay a couple of wines down Deep freezer drawers force you to dig for everything and items aren't visible until you've moved what's on top of them, when full they're heavy which could cause small people to struggle to open them.

Nice looking fridge. Lots of room for price. The French doors make it easy to access everything. We specifically chose this model without a door side ice/water dispenser (after constant challenges and 3 repairs on our last non-Samsung ice/water door dispenser). My only complaint so far, was that the ice cubes (automatic in freezer area) tasted like chlorine. We emptied the ice container multiple times and after about a week the ice cubes are good.

I love the look. The appliance has a sleek design and looks great in my kitchen. I love the deli area with the dual temperature controls which helps keep cheese fresher longer. Although I find that it is difficult to keep it looking fresh because it finger prints easily. Mine seems to run longer and more than I expected. The unit is a bit noisy. When running you can hear on the 2nf floor my of my 2100 sq ft home. The doors don't seem to close smoothly either. It has only been in my home a little over a week so I can not speak on its durability yet. Mine was a good value out of the box. I will be calling best buy this more about my couple of issues like the running and doors not closing smooth. I found to parts in refrigerator after after delivery setup may be part of my problem but they can figure it out. Good luck on your future purchases and I recommend EXTENDED WARRANTIES on ALL Samsung.

Got this at a very good price almost half what you'd pay for similar in another brand. I have had no noise like stated in other reviews. I do not have ice maker hooked up and it was trying to run so that did make noise until I switched it off. Lots of room. Gallons can fit in door or on bottom shelf. Visually appealing and exactly what we needed.

I had this refrigerator for 2 months now and got it at a great price (Holiday sale price) at Best Buy. My wife and I decided to get this model over other existing models because we already had a reverse osmosis water filtration system in our house and did not need another one that came with the fridge. We chose Samsung due to its simple and sleek design which looked significantly nicer than our previous 10-year-old white refrigerator. So far we are both very satisfied, but we gave this unit only 4-stars because of the ice maker that would occasionally make loud noise in the middle of the night presumably when ice was made and dropped into the bin. This could be a problem for any refrigerator out there in the market, but maybe it could have been designed a bit better. Overall, no issues yet and very satisfied.

After serious research online of different refrigerators, we found this one at BestBuy.com... on sale for a very good price! We chose this item because of the features, size, appearance, and price (which just happened to be the icing on the cake). I've never had a Samsung large appliance before, so I didn't have an opinion based on experience. We bought this refrigerator and we are VERY happy with it so far! It is roomier than we imagined and we are having a hard time filling it since it is SO spacious and there are only two of us living here. It's nice to have so much space to accommodate whatever we buy that requires refrigeration! The look is classy, too. Very happy here!
