    I prefer writing a review after i have used the item for at least a year. Purchased this refrigerator last year and its been a great choice for the following four reasons - 1) compact french door refrigerator, with abundant space! 2) easy access to everything in the fridge, the drawers and the shelves are well laid out 3) abundant space on the doors for storage of milk and other things. and 4) my favorite is the alarm when my kids forget to close the door. Overall very happy with the fridge

    Absolute garbage. I’ve marker is faulty. Samsung came to fix it. Broke the fridge and refuses to fix it now. Avoid like the plague. Never purchase a Samsung product again!

    I've had my fridge for 4 days and it's still fantastic. If you are in need of a 33" width, french door Samsung, then look no further. I love the space inside and especially how everything in the fridge is at my eye level and visible through the drawers and shelves. This runs absolutley whisper quiet which is great for an open concept floor plan. My old fridge was so loud that we had to turn up the volume of the TV when it was running. I love the shiny black finish. One thing that took a little getting used to is how the doors self-seal and close. The water and ice work beautifully. The water tastes amazing and it does NOT drip down the front of the door as other reviews have noted. It's worth the money but do get the Geek Squad protection. Appliances just don't last 20 - 30 years any longer.

    Samsung electronics=awesome. Samsung appliances=JUNK. Ice maker worked for about 3 months and has had every problem you can think of ever since. And Samsung WILL NOT help you at all. Just Google Samsung ice makers. Let's see, a shelf broke, a drawer broke, roller off the pantry drawer broke, freezer handle broke(and cannot be fixed), fan inside fridge freezes up, should I go on? Take the gamble if you want but don't say you weren't warned.

    Samsung French Door Refrigerator Worst Purchase Ev

    Shortly after the 1 year warranty expired on our Samsung French Door refrigerator it started having problems with the ice maker and shortly after that the fan in the refrigerator started making noise. Before we knew it the refrigerator stopped working all together. My husband having had past appliance repair experience took off the panel to find ice built up all around the condenser. Samsung refused to cover the cost for any repair needed, which turned out to be a simple kit that adds something to the condenser to prevent the build up of the ice (which also occurs in the ice maker) and new drain tubing. According to a knowledgeable appliance repairman, Samsung made an error in their creation on all of their French Door refrigerators and rather than making things right to keep their customers happy they turn a blind eye. We will NEVER buy ANY Samsung product again!! People shouldn't have issues with an appliance that cost thousands of dollars within such a short period of time of it being purchased. In the automaker world that's called a LEMON!

    BUYER BEWARE - FREEZING ISSUES

    DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FRIDGE OR ANY SAMSUNG FRIDGE. Bought this fridge in 2015. After 2.5 years we started having issues with the fan making horrible noises. Then we noticed ice build up in the back and where the ice maker is. Of course to resolve this issue we had to replace parts. Parts and Install were $800+ we were able to get a "one time credit" but then six months later everything happened again. When the tech came out to fix the ice make and drain kit as Samsung stated needed to be fixed he stated they've replaced so many of these and it still happens. Same issues.     The unit looks nice, runs quietly and cleanly, but has a couple of problems: Spacing for the lid on the bottom wide drawer rubs against the side of the refrigerator and gets stuck. One year and one month after purchase (i.e. 1 month after the warranty expired), the control board for the ice machine went out. Now it cycles randomly between crushed and cubed ice, making an annoying noise. Who knows how much this will cost to fix. I will look to a different brand for the next big appliance purchase.

    We purchased this fridge hearing good things about it. However does not live up to my expectations. The ice dispenser often molds and requires constant cleaning. It also allows the ice to melt and then drain into your cup when you go back to get ice later. Gross. Recently the freezer started leaking water all over the floor. Nothing seems to be wrong other than the leaking. I would not recommend this fridge to anyone.

    The inside drawer broke after 1 year had to get that replaced. Now 4 years in, some sensor in the refrigerator broke causing massive ice build up. Just had to drop $500 on a repair because Samsung said the issue was not under warranty. Even though the repairman says he sees this exact issue ALL the time with these models. Dealing with Samsung was horrible, took several days of phone calls and over a week just to get a technician to come fix it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I am so disappointed.

    I have had this fridge for 7 months. It never made cubed ice. Now it leaks and makes no ice at all, and the ice maker is jammed. Samsung sent someone to fix it since it is still under warranty. The process of getting the appointment was a complete hassle. Then they show up today and tell me the whole fridge has to be thawed out to fix it and every single person with the same fridge has the same issue, it is a design flaw.

    If I could go lower than one star I would. Fridge itself is fine. But if you want an ice maker, choose another. Look at forums....Samsung knows of the issue. It freezes over and wont drop ice. Makes a huge frozen block. Techs admit it’s a known problem. No fix. So if you want cold food and water....go for it. If you want ice, buy lots of ice trays.

    Terrible Quality

    From the worst company ever comes a refrigerator that will make your life miserable. Samsung lies about their warranty being 5 years that covers cooling, after 2 years food started to spoil, turns out ice started to build up inside the fridge behind the front inner panel blocking air and freezing fan in the process. Called Samsung to service, they refused to repair sending off to third-party as out of warranty for repair costing up to $1k, was told to read the fine print that states only main cooling unit is under warranty, if main cooling unit is working (potentially malfunctioning and freezing other components), its not covered under warranty, they won't care if your food is spoiling or rotting. Tried calling twice, was told if I have further complains write to some mailbox of president of Samsung, where no one cares or answers. Joke of a company! Refused to pay up and had it serviced. Many people online reported same issue, and even after expensive repairs fridge starting experience the issue again, with only real way of fixing it is simply to replace it. Paid $2.5k for this junk, worst purchase ever. Money down the drain, no point in spending more on it. Stopped buying Samsung products altogether post this experience. Managed to keep the fridge by defrosting it every few weeks, taking up to 24 hours each time, however major inconvenience to do so. Going into trash soon.. Don't be deceived by Samsung, their products are flashy, heavily marketed, but beyond all that poor cheap components and quality and terrible support.

    Horrible, Horrible Refrigerator (and Brand)

    I bought this refrigerator about 2 years ago. We like it at first, but now I am constantly fighting with it freezing up in the back, then ice build up causes horrible fan noice! Once this happened I started searching and this a very widespread and known problem for Samsung refrigerators. There also appears to be a recent class action lawsuit filed against Samsung because the issue is so bad. Just do a google or youtube search of "Samsung refrigerator fan noise" or "Samsung freezing up". It will help you see how badly designed this fridge is and how much hassle you will likely have if you buy this Samsung refrigerator. As soon as I am able, I am getting rid of this refrigerator and never buying a Samsung appliance again!

    After 2 years only The refrigerator star makings very hard noise and stop after open the door I was looking for video in the internet and surprise a lot of videos of the same problem Samsung know about the problem and don’t do nothing They said that a technician need to see the unit to diagnose the problem 80 dollars You need to pay See review first

    I bought this in September 2017 and the freezer is already broken and will not do anything. I have done all of the "troubleshooting" with samsung and nothing has fixed it so now they want us to pay to have a barely 3 year old refrigerator fixed.
