    Perfect except for the water dispenser.

    Love everything about this fridge except for the ice/water dispenser. No light so you can see how full your glass is? The push bar is very touchy and you have to push continuously on the glass while filling with ice or water. The ice dispenser is extremely slow as well. Our old fridge from GE had these options when we bought it 13 years ago, why hasn't Samsung figured this out?

    Purchased in 2020, this refrigerator is still the best one I have ever had. It’s the perfect size for my family of four, and fits into our tiny galley kitchen. The ice and water machine still works perfectly. I love the color too! Does not smudge with fingerprints

    Black Stainless Coating Issue

    I've had this refrigerator for a little over two years. It was okay for the first year or so, other than I sometimes get crushed ice when I try to get regular ice cubes. The water and ice dispensing area does not have a light, and that can be inconvenient. The problem I am having now is that the black stainless coating is starting to break down. I noticed that on the side panel of the fridge, in an area that never comes in contact with anything, has scratches and also the black coating has chipped off in an area. I have come to find out that Samsung does not stand by their product. This is cosmetic, so all they can suggest is a door replacement for over 500.00. In my research I have also found that there was a class action lawsuit that was settled regarding this issue. Also mentioned in that suit, was the icemaker. The photos of the appliances were shown. Some of them showed the black stainless coating completely peeled off. I am very disappointed with Samsung, and will not be buying any of their products in the future. That said, I would not recommend any product from Samsung that is black stainless with this inferior coating. This is a major purchase, and I'm left with wondering what my fridge will look like in another few years. Buyer beware.

    I will never buy a Samsung fridge again . Right after the 1st year . The side plastic baskets that hold condiments cracked and broke . Seeing how I was a month over the warranty the Samsung representative told me I was out of luck. To replace the baskets was almost 200 a piece . Now the strips on the front of the glass shelf’s are breaking . I am single person and I’m not hard on any of my appliances. This is a pile of crap !

    One of the worst investments ever. The simple first - this is far from fingerprint resistant. I have kids and this refrigerator would only be fingerprint resistant if no one used it. The rest of the issues are lengthy, but I will share the condensed version : The ice maker decides when we get ice. It frequently freezes over and I have to defrost the freezer (per Samsung pro tech support). Sometimes the motor will just keep going when it can't get any ice to come out. The refrigerator section freezes anything from the back to the middle. I have it set at 38 per Samsung's recommendations as well as the multiple technicians that have come to service it. IT STILL FREEZES REFRIGERATOR ITEMS. The last tech was here over an hour practically rebuilding the thing. If it had a removeable panel, he swapped it out. Save your money and your sanity and buy anything else.

    Good fridge and freezer so far. Only issue so far is the ice maker gets clogged has happened twice in first 2 weeks. Had to remove ice maker and bust up chunks to repair.

    The doors are so low that they skim your feet. The food near the bottom third of the fridge freezes. Icemaker takes a long time to produce ice. The fridge was 10 days old when the filter gave out and spilled out all over the floor. Samsung wouldn't stand behind it and replace it. We had to replace the water filter ($35) on a 10 day old fridge!

      Regarding ice output, the water valve may need to be checked. Avoid turning the ice maker off and on repeatedly. Ice production takes time about 90 minutes per cycle and up to 24 hours to fill the bucket. This guide also includes quick checks, such as dispensing water for about 10 seconds. If you get around 6 oz, it may indicate lower pressure, while 3/4 cup or more suggests proper flow.

    Faulty icemaker

    This is a nice fridge. It has a lot of cubic space and has mostly worked well. There have been issues with the ice maker. It freezes up. Not much point to having an ice maker if you can't get ice. I am having issues again and the fridge is out of warranty so I am looking at having to pay a great deal to have it repaired.
