Defective model.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this refrigerator in 2016 and had been very happy with the unit till December 2022. Since 2022 we started facing issues with the refrigerator. First the freezer failed. All frozen food, ice creams melted. Freezer temperature was 36 F even after on power freeze. Got home warranty folks to replace the compressor and it worked for a week and again same issue reoccured. They replaced with another new compressor from samsung. Worked for 2 months and then exactly after 2 months and 12 days the same problem reoccured. Ice cream started melting and now the freezer and entire refrigerator temperature is 56F. The home warranty follks said that the unit cannot be fixed and this is an ongoing problem with samsung refrigerator and its better to replace it with LG or Whirlpool.

DO NOT BUT
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved the look of this refrigerator but these are the repairs in 4 years: doors replaced year 1, ice maker replaced year 1 & 2. The freezer stopped cooling October, 2021 year 4. The tech replaced the fan. That lasted two weeks. The freezer stopped again they replaced the computer. That lasted three days. The entire refrigerator stopped working. The tech came out put freon in the fridge and said it should work. Nope! A master tech came out and said there is a leak so Samsung says to repair the leak. They did. It is now a week before Thanksgiving. We have lost tons of food and decided to buy a cheap fridge from a wholesale club. The tech comes back out. This time I was no longer a nice lady. I said no more repairs THIS REFRIGERATOR IS JUNK!!! The repairman agreed and it could not be repaired. We lost 25% of the cost but I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!!

Freezer stopped working. Terrible warranty.

Unfortunately, the ice maker issue is least of this fridge's problems. 3 years in and both freezers went out - they're currently at 60 degrees. I've owned many refrigerators for longer and this is the only one to stop working. Even when it "worked" it was annoyingly temper-mental. Even a small item near the back vent and everything in the freezer was frosted. Worst freezer I've owner and seen. Best buy's service ran out in July and Samsung's terrible warranty ended 1 year post-purchase. First scheduled repair was canceled by the repair company and Samsung has yet to respond to schedule a repair, which is $100 to simply diagnosis the issue. AVOID SAMSUNG appliances! I wish I could get rid of this thing and on the fence of cutting the $3400 loss... I don't want to do but to get out of Samsung branded appliances it's worth it.

Bad Icemaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything other than the icemaker is fine. The icemaker has to be defrosted constantly and now doesn't work at all. Samsung icemakers are knowns for this and it's an issue.

For the ice maker to operate properly, a water pressure of 20-125 psi is required. If the refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20 psi), you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.

Samsung Flex Door Refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We purchased this refrigerator in October 2016. April 29th, 2017 the refrigerator quit cooling. It is now May 19th, 2017. Samsung has still has not resolved this issue. We have had no refrigerator in our kitchen for 3 weeks! Samsung customer service is atrocious! No consideration for the fact that this refrigerator is 6 months old and that we paid over $3,000 for it. They have replaced the UV filter, still didn't work. They have found 5 freon leaks. Their authorized service rep has been here 6 times. I have lost confidence in this piece of equipment and SAMSUNG has done nothing but say they have to repair three times before they can deem it non-repairable. Consumer beware!!! This is not a Best Buy issue but a SAMSUNG issue! Will NEVER buy another Samsung product!!

Noise!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We've had this for two years and from almost day one, this unit makes a thump noise several times a day!So i called Samsung way back then and the guy on the phone that I should record the sound!!Now,duh,am I suppose to sit in a chair by the refrigerator and wait for that sound???So they sent a refrig. guy out.He shows up and after a while he scratches his head and left.Geek squad comes out later that month and replaces a part inside of it, didn't solve the problem.So since then, we still have that stupid noise, plus other weird thop sounds.Very unhappy with this"thing"..Sure strong that Samsung doesn't know what causes these sounds.Hell,they build it...

Known issues do not buy this

Warmth leaks into it from the fridge and it freezes over every few days. The temperature of the fridge is inaccurate It reads 38 on the display but it is way higher. I got an almost 100% refund from Samsung after a huge fight. There is an entire facebook page dedicated to help consumers get refunds.

Buyer Be Aware

Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

Do not buy!!

Stopped working after 15 months

Took 3 weeks to get the parts plus technician out to fix it. Matching convention microwave is now dead for the sencond time in 17 months. Would not recommend Samsung appliances

Ice maker will fail

All you have heard about the poor quality of the Samsung ice machines is true, they are less than good. Even in the beginning they make ice, not great ice. AS of now it has frozen up and not working. extended warranty expired.

Bad Experience with Samsung

Within 4 months of getting our Samsung the shed plastic cracked. I was told to contact Samsung, which was not helpful at all. They said I could order replacements at my costs. Then the refrigerator started getting rust spots all over. I sent them pictures and they said, do not use cleaners on it, which I have never done. They said that it was cosmetic so not a warranty issue and they could send a repairman out but it will cost me. Do NOT purchase a Samsung product EVER. Just google Samsung refrigerators and see what issues they have.

Not what we expected

Works for a while then decides to drip water from ice being stuck in the dispenser or totally freezes up and doesn't make ice at all. Looks great but attracts fingerprints like a magnet. Maybe newer production models have corrected these issues. Thank goodness for BBUY protection plan with the multiple service calls.

Terrible After Warranty Services
