Size Matters When you look for a refrigerator, the first thing to look out for is physical size. Make sure your new fridge fits in the existing opening. There's nothing like having the thing delivered only to return it because "You got the wrong size!" Ours was 69" in height - measured from the floor to the top of fridge (without the hinge cover). It fit right in! Cubic Feet - What's in the inside You'll need to find out what size your old refrigerator was so that your new one will at least accommodate what you had in the older one. Our new fridge was 2 cubic feet larger than the older one. Features We liked the French Doors - the two doors on top of the fridge that open from the center. The right door has a handle release that lets you open the outer door or open the whole door. Opening the outer door lets you get to the compartment that stores milk, bottled water and other dairy things like butter or cream. On the left French door is the ice mechanism for the ice maker. This ice maker took up space, but not as much as other ice makers in competitor refrigerators. The ice maker worked fine. This model has a water and ice dispenser that is on the outside of the door - If you like cold, filtered water this is a must-have. Some refrigerators have the water dispenser on the inside - We prefer it on the outside. The middle drawer is lined with metal as opposed to plastic - it cools better than its plastic counterpart. I liked the two metal bars inside of it that act like compartment separators. They are perpendicular to each other with a plastic holder that keeps them held together. You can move the holder around to size your compartments. The bottom drawer is where the freezer is. This is fairly large and holds plenty of frozen foods. There is also an auxiliary drawer to hold other things like breads or frozen vegetables so you can get to them easily; it's also great for freezing that beer mug for your next cold one! We also like the LED lights that really brighten up the inside of the fridge. It beats the old single appliance light bulb. Summary The fridge is silver in color and reflects light like a mirror. You can almost see yourself. The refrigerator is easy to set up. Freezer is at 0 degrees; fridge is set to 37 degrees. You never have to mess with it. Our fridge is 28 cubic feet - plenty of space for our needs. This fridge can be pricey, so look for holiday discounts before you buy.

If you are in the market for a higher end refrigerator, this is the baby for you. After a 22 yr old smallish thing that couldnt even keep a soda good and cold anymore, i was ready for the works, and this has it! From the sneak a peek door on the right where you can just grab milk (it holds 2 jugs!) and condiments and a butter shelf without opening the entire refridge, to that oh so cold beverage drawer (flex drawer) youll be in love. It has 3 other uses too, the flex drawer, but beverages at 33 degrees is its specialty! The refrigerator inside is enormous! I dont think i could ever fill it. Those with a big family, this is your dream refridge!. The filtered water and cubed or crushed ice is lovely! The bottom freezer has a nice shelf on top and two divided area on the bottom for plenty of food. Run, don't walk, to buy this beauty. And ask for Justin. Nicest salesman around, although in reality, they are ALL great!

Plenty of room for a weeks worth of groceries. Fits crock pot and pizza boxes easily.

I had my doubts about the drawer in the middle. Really lovely to look at but kind of thought the drawer was a waste of space. I was so wrong. I use it all the time for anything that will fit. Handiest thing ever. I am very happy with it overall. The crushed ice isn't great. It crushes some but will also drop cubes. Freezer is nice and seems large enough for us but I do have a second fridge in the garage so..another high point is the terrific lighting inside. Love it. The ability to access only the door content is cool but honestly, I forget about it most of the time and prefer milk ice cold so only put juice bottles and condiments in the door.

We love, love, love this fridge. After the hassle with another retailer we went with Best Buy and had no hassles and picked the middle range fridge. Was on sale and our sales person was very knowledgeable. It is really big. Bigger than what I thought once it was delivererd. So make sure you measure and measure again to make sure it fits as this one was a tight fit so sticks out a little bit we didn’t mind that

Perfect size for my wife and I. We actually use the door thing more than we thought we would. Ice maker froze up once but it was easy to take out and melt and hasnt happened again yet. Very quiet fridge, we never hear it.

Our fridge finally bit the dust, so we decided to forgo a scratch and dent and buy something shiny and new. I wasn't interested in an icemaker/water dispenser on the door, but we needed something ASAP, and the fridge/freezer combo without it wouldn't be available for a while. I'm so glad now that we purchased this model. My entire family loves the ice and water dispenser. The dog even comes running every time we get ice so that he can have a piece. (don't judge :) ) I love the easy open front door that lets you grab the most used items without having to open the entire fridge. There's also so much room, and the adjustable shelves are great. The deli drawer is another huge hit. We put all of our lunch items in there so that we can just open that drawer and put our lunches together - no opening of the fridge required! As far as noise, which I've seen from other reviews is a problem, this fridge/freezer has been super quiet. I love it!

Nice fridge but it has made a popping noise since I received it, I contacted Samsung and was told to unplug it for 15 minutes so it could reset itself. Well it still makes the noise and I'm waiting to see if they fix it.

. I purchased this 3 1/2 yrs ago with extended warranty. I had 3 ice makers put in before the warranty then 3 more after. They actually put caulking around the top of the ice maker THAT'S THE PICTURE.the paint on all appliances is literally peeling. PICTURE AGAIN. Customer service is terrible. my next step is with an attorney. Why would customers purchase extended warranty if they do not honor..forgot to mention the freezer works like crap won't keep ice cream. Honestly it's the worst

Love the fridge itself.But was totally shocked when I opened the door and found the top folding shelf shattered! what a mess! Nothing had been placed on it since I had folded it back in the very beginning to get more room. Could not get an explanation from Samsung but they are sending a new shelf.. Ha ETA2-4 weeks...Hope this is not a preview of things to come..

The twin metal cooling is great. Adjustable shelves make putting things away easy.

The door in door feature is fantastic. It's so easy to grab a quick drink without opening the full fridge door. There is so much more space, and I love the freezer drawers below the middle drawer. Great product, and sleek design. Very modern and great lighting.

Beautiful large refrigerator with lots of options. Various storage options for the arranging all kinds of sizes, shapes, and types with the adjustable top shelves; lots of space for cold drinks and more in the middle section; and a large capacity lower freezer. Love it!

Our (former) Samsung refrigerator had multiple problems and was only 4 years old. We paid nearly half the original cost of the unit for repairs that continued to go bad, and the final straw was flaking paint (white) all around the front ice and water dispenser. After having enough, we returned to Best Buy to get another refrigerator. We told the sales rep we did NOT want another Samsung because of the issues on a four-year-old lemon. The sales rep continued to steer us toward the brand by citing reviews, features, and price and incredulity at the extreme negative experience we just had. Reluctantly, we gave the brand “one more try”. What we like: The finish is as advertised. It’s quite nice. The right door can open two ways, full open and door shelf access only. I like that, too. The size is good for our family, and the flexible cooling or freezer drawer is nice. The front display gives good basic information. What we don’t like: The ice maker. This is Samsung’s Achilles Heel. Within 8 months the leaking, freezing over, iced up original equipment Ice maker had to be replaced. Already the replacement is showing signs of problems. The ice maker boasts crushed or full cube selection, but it always comes out crushed. Always. And the service tech said there was nothing that could be done about it!! The drawer is nice, at the cost of some inside cubic foot space. Know that you’ll lose some interior space with the additional drawer. The water filter “timer” is a joke. It wants you to buy a new filter when you don’t really need one. A sensor that monitors flow quality makes much more sense than a timer that acts like a faulty alarm clock waking you up even though you can sleep late today. Finally, being forced to buy a new water line and filter for the ice maker / water dispenser is ridiculous. The threat, “We can’t honor the warrantee without it,” is nothing but a money grab, just like buying a washer and dryer but “ALSO” must buy a power cord and brand new water lines. If it is required, the WHY isn’t this included with the unit!? Overall I’m neutral about this refrigerator. It has some nice features, but the price we paid was too high for defect-ridden, badly designed ice making ability.
