This refrigerator has it all. I looked at the cafe model which has the Keurig built in and chose this instead. We also go the matching dishwasher, unfortunately they don't make a downdraft stove in this collection. We purchased this as soon as it came out, there weren't any reviews at the time. Ended up buying it from a competitior, got both pieces for @ $2,700. As an elite member to Best Buy a bit disappointed I had to go elsewhere for the deal. We've had it for approx 4 months at the one of this review, I would recommend this item to anyone.

I looked for weeks before I finally decided what refrigerator I wanted; so glad I chose this one! I love having the door within the door. 90% of the time I'm going into the refrigerator for the same things and this is a huge energy saver. Plenty of space in both the refrigerator and the freezer. The freezer has two drawers which is nice because I don't have hurt my back bending over to get things out. It also has a flex drawer that works great for lunch meats and cheese. The filtered water tastes great and it makes plenty of ice. The icemaker is a little bit slow, but other than that I love everything about this refrigerator.

This refrigerator has a nice style. Actually using the door-in-door more than I thought we would. Would have been nice to have a little more flexibility in adjusting shelves in that area. Also Flex drawer is nice. Considered using for deli items, but ended up using for drink bottles in addition, and using bottle temperature setting. Eliminates opening up the big doors when needing a bottle or some deli items. Lighting is excellent throughout. Shelving is pretty flexible. Did lose some shelving space on left door compared to previous Samsung model we had - some condiments/sauces no longer fit on the door due to more narrow space. Ice maker working ok - cubes are a little smaller than former model. Pretty quiet when compressor running. Considered a comparable LG model which also was nice, but liked the style and build quality of this one just a little better. With Flex drawer you obviously lose a little bit of freezer space compared to our previous Samsung model - that model had a deli drawer inside refrigerator, so still the freezer space allotted wasn't huge, but just a little bit more than this one. Water/ice dispenser opening much larger than previous, and can handle the large "bubba" cups. Hopefully the experience over time remains pleasant. I would recommend this product.

I did my research and although there were some negative reviews, we LOVE this fridge. It is roomy, well lit, well designed and we are really impressed. We upgraded from a 8 year old, 24 cubic foot side by side LG to this 28 cubic foot French door and it seems even bigger than the extra 4 cubic feet we gained. Freezer space has definitely increased and the 'door in a door" feature is a real bonus with toddlers needing bottles and sippy cups throughout the day. Samsung product is working great a month into ownership!

I've had this refrigerator since March. I read the reviews before I made my decision to buy this brand and model. Many of the purchasers had problems and that made my choice even harder. I liked it the best so I decided to go ahead and buy it. I haven't had one single problem with it. It's very quiet and makes plenty of ice for a family of four. It's black stainless and doesn't show fingerprints. I'm VERY HAPPY with it. The delivery men were great. They got the old fridge out and the new one in with such ease.

Overall, it has been a great fridge. However, the ice maker froze and is not working. The freezer drawer is quite noisy.

We bought this refrigerator almost a year ago and it's been pretty good so far. We have had it serviced twice so far for problems with the ice maker. Samsung customer service has been pretty good about sending out a serviceman each time. The ice maker was completely replaced the 2nd time around and we have'nt had any problems since. I love the room that this fridge has. From the middle drawer to the super deep freezer you should have no problem storing food.

I originally got the French door Samsung without the separate middle crisper drawer, and did not like having to open both doors to get into the crisper-so yes, I spent nearly 1k more!! (What can I say- I wanted to keep this for a long time and wanted to make sure I was 100% happy!) We purchased this fridge in December of 2016 and in less than 6 months we were having problems with the ice machine blocking up. My husband had to take a butter knife and really knock it all out...this occurred roughly once a month, not a huge deal-but certainly annoying for a new fridge. July comes around, and we get back from vacation to find that our middle drawer now has a malfunction!! It would not stop beeping!!! Some water from condensation had dropped onto the panel and has now made the middle drawer panel go crazy. Geek Squad will be coming out to fix this (amazing guy btw) but the thought of me paying so much for this fridge to already be having this many problems is really irritating! I gave the fridge 3 stars simply for the fact that I love the design so much. I wish that Samsung would do some sort of recall on this fridge, fix the dumb little things that are wrong with it- and give us the updated version. That would make me one happy camper. Until then- I pray this Geek squad can fix this problem better than Samsung did producing it! If I have to get another fridge in 5 years when my warranty is up- I will likely not go with Samsung, huge disappointment for the designers of this fridge.

I love Samsung products but there is definitely a manufacturing issue with the ice makers in this refrigerator. In fact there is a class action suit regarding the ice maker in Virginia as of the time of this review in January 2021. The frig itself is a beauty. I just simply love it. But, since owning this unit in 3.5 years I have had to have two repairmen come out and replace the ice maker guts including the mother board. The issue is the unit freezes up - it cannot be stopped. All I was able to do as a consumer was to routinely clear the frozen ice from the unit after taking out the ice compartment. I would have to do this about every 2 weeks. If I didn't continually do this, the unit totally freezes up and the container with the ice in it cannot even be removed from the unit. If this wasn't such an issue, I would have easily given the frig a 5*. But this has cost me money now and time for something as simple as an ice maker. Samsung - this is disappointing.

After 15 years we finally decided to replace our old refrigerator. After walking through the best buy store we feel in love with the design of this samsung refrigerator. Ours is an older model but looks exactly like the one shown. The design was gorgeous, the compartments were fantastic and it was a samsung. We knew the brand was reliable for things like phones and TVs and we were a little skeptical buy we went with it and we are not ones to buy warranty we always thought it was a waste of money but something told me let's just get it since we weren't familiar with Samsung in the appliance arena. A couple days later after we got our beautiful fridge I was showing a friend and she looked at me like oh boy. She said she bought the same one a year prior and it was already giving her problems and she regretted not buying the warranty. After my stomach dropped for a second I felt a sense of relief cause we bought the warranty. This fridge is quite a bit of work. You need the extensive filter every other month it seems like and about 8 months ago All of a sudden it went caput. The ice machine was acting slowly and water tasted different. New filter? Maybe ok let's change it again. But over time we noticed the ice doesn't work as well as it use too, the water started tasting different and the temperature in the fridge started to change. We thought we were crazy but in the last two months it went totally downhill. No ice. Barely water but im not drinking it and the fridge isn't cold anymore. We decided to empty the whole fridge from top to bottom and disconnect it maybe a reboot if you will would help. Nope. Same performance. Finally I called our warranty and they came out 2 days later. He technician stated we needed new parts for the ice maker and the something about the fridge not knowing it's cold I cant remember. Why i cant remember because this was 3 weeks ago!!!! Parts are on back order till the 25th of this month and we are forced to be without a workin fridge. I'm pregnant with a 5 year old. Never again will we ever buy samsung for appliances. I'm sticking to phones and TVs. My recommendation. Do not buy. Stick to the old reliables.

This refrigerator is amazing. Some complain Ice maker too small but I don't find that to be a problem. I'm finally not throwing out food that has gone bad because I didn't see it in bottom shelf of the frig. I love freezer on bottom. There is so much room. I love the middle drawer. We store drinks and snacks for kids. No need to stand with refrig opened. Also love no little hand smears and the black stainless is magnetic unlike regular stainless steel appliances.

Looks and works great. Absolutely love this fridge. Plenty of space. If I want to get picky, I can't figure out how to get the shelves to adjust. Not sure they do adjust. Would like a little bit taller shelf spot on one side of the inside. Other than that really love it. Never runs out of ice and am so glad I went for the convenience door and separate flex drawer. Works great for our family of 4

Just got it. Love the look of the black stainless with my existing black appliances. Very quite. I also love the refrigerator middle door tray which I was not necessarily sold on that we needed. We are also enjoying opening the door up to get just a drink out of the convenience storage. Overall, very glad we made the purchase.

We've had our Samsung Refrigerator for 14 months now and really like most of it, it's handy with the drawer and the door that opens directly to drinks. It's great. BUT, we have had nothing but trouble with the ice-maker freezing up. We've had the repairman here four times and he's replaced the entire unit a little at a time. When he last left, he said if it froze again, we would qualify for the lemon law and could just get a new one. It's now frozen up again. My wife keeps a bag of ice in the freezer and has to use that. The repairman said if we decided to take a new refrigerator, our Samsung AND the two year extended warranty I bought would be considered satisfied and we would have no warranty. Great refrigerator but ice maker is very poor design. (And their warranty policy.)

The fridge I have now is my second one, the first the Best Buy delivery team scratched it coming thru the door, my husband warned them to take the doors off but they didn't want to so when they hit the door frame they damaged it ...then took the doors off. When the put it back together wires all over , besides the scratch, the ice and water were not working and no interior lights and fridge temp was not showing correctly, this was a Tuesday so we call best buy and they sent us out a new one on Sat. with new delivery team and all went well, we love it, so much room, it is quiet even the ice maker is quiet love the door in door and fridge door hardly ever open the main doors and the metal cooling is really cool too, keeps everything so much colder than my old fridge !

Today (Nov 14th 2015) was my refrigerator delivery and best buy was prompt in delivering. Happy with their service so far. The main let down came when we switched on the refrigerator. It made a loud drilling like noise. The delivery/installation guy(s) said it might be just setting itself up [didn't make any sense]. the Sound stopped as soon as I opened the door. Me and my spouse mistook it for initial setup noise and things will be fine. It had been few hours the delivery guys left, the noise will not stop. My neighbors stopped by to check it I was drilling the wall or something. I had to switch off the refrigerator and call up Best buy for issue resolution. I didn't want to hate this machine - but, I do now. my spouse researched further and found out that these twin cooler systems have these issue and Even Samsung has in their support site for "Fan-hitting something (noise) and stops when the door is opened" sort of link - where they ask to stop the refrigerator and call support immediately. I would have accepted this if this was an issue after I had spent few months with the machine - not on the very first switch on. This thing sure needs to go. Samsung should address this design / quality flaw as soon possible if they need to retain their customer satisfaction.

Stay away!!!! Many many issues with this refrigerator. Freezer needed fixing due to frosting. Let’s talk about the ice maker. It needed repair about 4 times in the 4 years that we have had the fridge. Thank god we had the warranty. Of course the ice maker is broken again. We called BBY. First part was incorrect. It was reordered. We received replacement parts today and I decided to open and personally look at it. GUESS WHAT…part was used and broken. Maybe that’s why the ice maker keep having issues. They are using broken and refurbished parts. Now that the warranty will be up next week they are giving us the run around. They will not replace the fridge after multiple calls for same issue. When we purchased fridge, We were told that fridge will be replaced if same issue is reoccurring. Of course now BBY is say they will not replace. Horrible!!!! What was waste of money .FYI: I had issues with my LG washer/dryer which I got from Home Depot and was under warranty. They completely replaced both units. That’s the right thing to do!!!!!

High quality item, simply amazing, great super value

I initially ended up having to choose between three Samsung models and two LG models. I got this during last years memorial day sale and we went the Samsung route due to the savings with Samsung during their promotion. Initially, we were going to purchase LMXS30776S from LG which was about $300 more than this product. We also looked at LFXS29766S but it didnt have the FlexZone drawer. We like the slide out FlexZone drawer which we use daily over the RF28HDEDBSR fridge. Originally we did not want the black stainless but with the sale, we were able to get it for the same price due to a shortage on the regular stainless. We had issues when the unit arrived. The door where the icemaker was had been damaged on shipment. We had already taken out all of the food from our old Whirlpool and decided to have Best Buy/Samsung send out a tech to replace the door instead of having to put all the food back into the old Whirlpool which was on the delivery truck at this stage. A week later, Samsung came and replaced the door and trained us more on how to maintain and use the new unit. The techs were very courteous and helpful. During the same sale, we had purchased LG washer and dryer and the dryer had to be replaced due to Best Buy not being able to swap the door which needed to open from the other side. Best Buy sent another dryer with the same issue a week later. This time LG came to swap out the door but it took them 2 tries and 3 weeks later to complete the job. Function wise, the refrigerator has worked flawlessly. It took a bit of learning to get the bottom shelf and units out to clean (someone spilled soda) but the online videos were a great help. The only issue we have is that sometimes ice gets stuck in the pathway in the door and will come out when you open the door. Other than that, we are very satisfied with the unit. ECO mode works great too.

I've only had it a little over 24 hrs. I was worried about the noise of the ice maker. It is much quieter than my previous one. When the ice is dumped in the ice bucket of course you can hear it. This is the only noise we hear & are glad we chose this one. So much space, love the flex zone drawer. Also love the space in the freezer. So versatile for every thing, The only thing I couldn't find how to do is empty the ice bucket. From the bottom just push up & you can empty it. The ice bucket is not as large as the bottom freezer ice buckets but is still a great size for an active family.
