    Had for 13 months! LOVE!

We have had this fridge since Jan 2018. I absolutely love it. When we first received it, that first day I was a bit scared cause it sounded kind of loud. But since then it has been super quiet. Ice has jammed once, otherwise absolutely no issues. We thought maybe we were being silly with the special door, but we love it now. Coffee creamer and milk at the ready and the fridge doesn't even drop a degree (and I love that it tell yours the temp!) Not a single bad thing to say about it. And no issues. Go for it if you are on the fence.

    Bad ice maker, poor design

Purchased this as open box (scratch and ding at very top of one door) 4/25/18, delivered 5/2/18. Delivery and set up was exceptional. Was excited to have such a beautiful looking refrigerator but soon realized ice maker had issues. As with many other complaints, ice was cloudy, poorly formed (if not broken) and ice dispensed very, VERY slowly along with chips and ‘snow’. Most cubes seem coated in it and I would find little puddles of water on floor daily and certainly was puzzled until one evening while cooking, ‘plunk’, and there was a cube on the floor! Mystery solved. Called Best Buy for service and started receiving pkgs over the next week and half. About 2 weeks was total for all parts and repair to be completed. The ENTIRE unit was removed and replaced. Thought that would be end of it but the ice is still the same - it just doesn’t arbitrarily fall out on its own now. We buy bagged ice as it’s clear and quicker to get to then waiting for dispenser to fill the glass (forget filling a small cooler on a hot day)!! The design of the unit also takes up so much room in the refrigerator compartment! Issue 2: When selecting the refrigerator, it is beautiful to look at and 27.8 cf is a lot of space! I was excited until I actually started putting things into it. The shelves appear to be adjustable when looking at the mounting brackets in back but if you move them, you loose significant useful storage space. The left hand shelf flips up and that’s the way it’s stayed since initial loading. A gallon of milk goes in the Showcase door with a few other frequently accessed items but bottles of orange juice, wine or any other tallish items must go on the left side middle shelf with the top shelf flipped up. On the right side, there’s a half slide ‘shelf’ on bottom where you can put in some tall items (but not a gallon of milk as it is too wide to fit) and that little slide away shelf reduces the space under that shelf by 1”. Oh yeah, and storage of condiments in the left hand DOOR is also very useless. There again, ice making apparatus interferes with functional space. Issue 3: The straw that will have me calling tomorrow to arrange for service is the second (middle) Showcase shelf is broken and just kinda hangs down about half inch. Still holding a few things but for how long before it breaks off?! Had I actually read the 1, 2 & 3 star reviews before I purchased, I would have saved myself much inconvenience and disappointment!! I only looked at the cumulative 4 star review and figured that was good enough. Boy was I wrong! Live and learn. Just wish it hadn’t been such an expensive lesson. Hopefully, the class action law suit will be of some benefit——eventually. That will be years away however and certainly not enough to make a significant difference to anyone but the attorneys.

I purchased my unit Dec 18th 2016. Through a series of missteps by Best Buy, my handles still had not arrived by mid January. Jay, the appliance manager of the Grove City, Ohio store, not only was gracious in making it right, but gave me confidence that all would be well. I have had this unit for a month and it is GREAT. Quiet and roomy. No issues with the water or ice maker . All in all , run, don't walk, and BUY THIS FRIDGE. You will not regret it.

    Could use some re-design

I purchased this refrigerator about 7 months ago and finally got around to really cleaning it for the first time. What an ordeal to remove the bottom shelf and glass in order to clean up after a leg of lamb that leaked. The glass on the bottom shelf is recessed into the plastic base so clean up is a nightmare. The meat juices settled under the shelf and wiping it up did not work. I went to the samsung website for directions on how to remove the bottom shelf which was useless, so I went then to a Youtube video posted by another frustrated customer. Finding the release button was almost as difficult as pushing the release button and then the glass release clips were another pain. Not sure why they made this so difficult and potentially a major cash expense if done incorrectly. I like all the bells and whistles this has in regards to the quick search door and drawer. The freezer is nice and roomy as well. Hopefully future versions of this will be a bit more user friendly for cleaning, in the meantime everything I thaw will be done on a plate.

    Very Disappointed

I bought the Samsung - Showcase 27.8 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator in Stainless steel in May 2017. I knew, by reading reviews, that the ice maker was a little noisy and did not produce much ice. We have 5 persons in our household who all enjoy a cold drink with lots of ice. In January 2018 the ice maker stopped working. The repair man replaced the Ice maker and suggested that since the brand was known to have problems with the ice maker, we either buy a bag of ice and keep in the freezer or store ice made from the ice maker. We did neither since we just paid $2000 for our new refrigerator. In May 2018, less than 1 year after our purchase and within 5 months of the first repair, the ice maker was out again. We bought the Samsung, because we have a Samsung dishwasher and wanted to try to match appliances. We also have a Frigidaire Gallery Stove/oven which we could have tried to match instead. Our previous Fridge was also a Frigidaire Gallery which we owned for 12 yrs before we had to replace it. Now we are told that we can replace our Samsung Fridge with a new product. Overall I like Samsung products as we own TVs, Cell phones, and tablets made by Samsung, however I am reluctant to purchase another Samsung Refrigerator due to our past experience. We enjoyed the showcase feature and wished Frigidaire had the same feature. At this point not sure what to but have to make a decision within a week.

    Buyer Be Aware

Please be aware of a problem that most Samsung products suffer from. Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

I love the space and look. I only noticed how deep this fridge was after it was delivered, make sure you have room, sticks out about a 10" past our counters. One thing I hate is the doors do not fully open, not sure why they chose to do that.

We love this refrigerator but the ice maker is crap. We have had this for less than 1 year. The tech came out and replaced the ice maker but the problem came back. Now we are being told that the ice maker is a known defect and that nothing can be done. The tech said that Samsung will replace the refridgerator and a case was opened twice. Samsung does not return calls. We just spent over $4,000 on all new Samsung appliances. I don’t think I will be using Samsung ever again.

    Bad Ice Maker

The ice maker continuously freezes over. Other than that, it is great, but it is extremely irritating. This has been a known issue with Samsung refrigerators. They have offered to have a repairman come out. As of the time of this writing the repair man hasn't come, but the Samsung rep was very helpful. She is the reason I gave more than 1 star. What has me most upset is that I did a lot of research prior to purchasing this refrigerator and it consistently was the top rated one.

Yes, this refrigerator is a beast, but surprisingly doesn't seem to have as much storage space as the smaller refrigerator it replaced. The deli drawer is nice, but that's about it. The doors are small and typically both doors need to be opened for access instead of just one, defeating the idea of French doors. The unit is noisy, and unfortunately that's not something you can preview in the store since none of the models are plugged in, and the acoustics are different in a home kitchen anyway. The worst of this product? Very small ice tray that keeps freezing up causing jams, and the front ice/water dispenser leaks. And since their's no drain, you need to keep a small towel under the dispenser constantly for absorbing the drips. Wie'll never buy a Samsung product ever again.

Avoid this refrigerator and thoroughly research other Samsung refrigerators before purchasing. This refrigerator and many others have a KNOWN defect that Samsung will not repair. There is a class action lawsuit being brought against them. Our ice dispenser does not work and leaks water inside our refrigerator and out through the ice chute on the front of the refrigerator door. We started experiencing problems around 12-18 months post purchase. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR OR ANY OTHER SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR FOR THAT MATTER. Poor product, even worse customer service.

    Fridge has yet to work

Bought this fridge as open box. Was told it only had dents and was never used. I assumed as much since all the shelf wrapping and plastic sheet protection was still on everything. Was also told it worked when I asked to plug it in. I also purchased the extended service. Brought it home and plugged it in. It runs, but has absolutely no cooling. Called geek squad. They told me the best they could do is send someone out in 9 days and suggested I call the store. The store offered no help except a return. Called geek squad again and someone told me a dispatch manager would call me in a day or two with better options. No call after 3 days. I have no idea if this is a good fridge but I can tell you the service after the sale is awful, especially considering this thing never worked. Do yourself a favor. By local. Big box sucks.

    I Wanted to Love It...

This is our FIFTH fridge from Best Buy. We tried Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid and all of the previous 4 had issues. It was a nightmare. Five in one month felt really crazy! So, when we decided to switch brands, I had high hopes. PROS: Handles are nice; water and ice are the quietest we have heard. I also like how you can hear the water sealing when it switches, drawers in preview door slide out on the bottom, allowing easy access. CONS: Far too expensive for the price. This is a high priced fridge with minimal features. The drawer is shallow compared to other models we had in our home. Items also slide around a lot so I will now have to find shallow baskets in which to keep things neat. (Eyeroll) Produce drawers are too small and do not do a great job at keeping produce fresh, no matter the setting. You most always have to keep the flapper shelf up, because there is no other space for taller items, so it renders that shelf useless. The freezer is too small as well. And the drawer doesn't pull out all the way on the top. I find myself having to reach in the back frequently. The most annoying part? It is not magnetic! This means all the notes, mementos, etc on our previous fridge had to be put away unless you use washi tape. Overall, I am not happy, but I am stuck with this now. It DOES work (unlike the other brands!), so I could not return it. That would not have been honest, so we kept it. This is also the second Samsung Fridge we owned. The first one stopped cooling. Other than that, no complaints, but again...skimpy on the features and expensive. I also find water builds up in the tray under the water, no matter how careful we are and water spots are hard to clean off the surface. So I really cannot give this more than 2-3 stars.

Totally OK. Not the greatest. Everything what is listed below is what Is not as good as the older one we had. 1. The freezer has a drawer that is not easy to open once you closed it to get something from the big bottom part. The Inside of the fridge cannot hold too many Tall items, and 3. the Icemaker makes small broken cubes.

My family and I have spent nearly 20,000 on Samsung Home appliances in the last 4 years. Each time we purchase a new home, we furnish it with ALL Samsung appliances (not to mention our loyalty to Samsung Smart Phones and Smart TVs). However, that ends today. Our refrigerator that was purchased for $2,700 two year ago no longer works. We have not been able to use this appliance for a month. My family has been without a refrigerator for a month since Samsung and Lakes Electronics mis-scheduled and provided excuses. Now, Lakes Electronics, your contractor, states that mysterious sulfur gas "ate away at the copper pipes." This is impossible for two reasons: 1. We do not have a mysterious sulfur gas issue. 2. Sulfur cannot "eat away" copper pipes only discolor them. Attempting to solve this issue, I was on the phone with your customer support for two hours and ten minutes this week (2 Hours 10 minutes). I was cold-transferred 5 times, and not assisted in any way. You have lost a customer. I am going to place this rating on Google, Best Buy, Lowes, and any major retailer I will make sure that consumers know they you do not care for customer loyalty, and that you hire sub-par contractors that tell ridiculous stories. My family and I thank you for the $2,700 paper weight and for learning how to go without a refrigerator for a month.
