    Samsung? Buyer Beware!!!!

    Like scores of other people, our Samsung refrigerator looks good but doesn't perform well. The ice-maker is terrible and quit working correctly after 18 months. By then, we had already reverted to buying ice because the ice-maker is pathetic. More importantly, after two years, ice build-up behind the back panel began interfering with the fan...making a loud noise when active. Defrosting is a temporary fix. When I took a look at the back panel to remove it and melt the ice, I saw multiple cracks in the plastic. This is a common problem spanning multiple models of Samsung refrigerators. We won't be buying another Samsung appliance.

    I bought a refrigerator last Thursday and picked it up to on Millerville in Baton Rouge, LA. I could ask for any better help with the process and loading it for me. It was great..

    The fridge started to give me problems with the water pitcher on the door at first. Then the ice maker decided that it wanted to stop making ice. Nothing is built to last anymore. All these companies want to do is get paid. I would not recommend this product if you are looking for something that lasts more than 2 years.

    Humongous Flaw (Universal)

    It is a nice looking refrigerator and is nicely spacious, but with one huge flaw. The ice maker keeps freezing and stops working frequently. This is complicated by the fact that there is no separate on or off button for the fridge or freezer part or the ice maker. So either we have to empty everything and let everything to thaw, or every time use a blow dryer and stand there aiming at the outside of the ice maker until it thaws!!! Such a difficult situation. I wish we could change it. I think it is a terribly big flaw for something so expensive.

    Have had this fridge for two years now. I love this item! Bought an entire set of Samsung appliances, and this is BY FAR the best item in the set. Lots of room, lots of extras. Great fridge for the price!

    The fridge itself is pretty good. The ice maker is awful. We have dealt with issues with it since it was about 1.5 years old. It is now completely dead and just makes an awful noise all the time. This was not a cheap unit and we got 3 years out of it. Terrible. Samsung tv's-- 5star as we have had 6 of them 52-75 inch-- but this experience with this fridge makes me want to dump this brand all together.

    Almost perfect

    The only issue for me: the pitcher itself is plastic with a rubber ring around the lid. So why $100? I would pay $50 per pitcher to have two or three of these on hand, but $100..

    We have had 7 or 8 service calls on this unit. The compressor failed at 2.5 years old. It took 6 weeks to get repaired. Yes, 6 weeks without a refrigerator!!! The ice maker has been replaced at least 3 times, and "repaired" two additional times - and still turns into a huge chunk of non-operating ice every few months.

    Love it, great fridge great capacity for family of 4. Set up and use on panel or through smart things is easy. If looking to upgrade fridge due to age or space cant go wrong with this.

    Ice Maker Keeps Freezing

    I bought this refrigerator 3 years back, I started facing Ice Maker problem from day 1. The Ice Maker gets frozen and stops making ice. You will need to defrost every time, and that is a tough job. I tried to call service guy, and they said it is design problem and cannot help. I looked at the web, and there are many complained on Ice maker frost. I reached Samsung, but they also refused to help. I will not recommend this refrigerator.

    So many problems. 4 years down and the ice maker has been replaced and the freezer now doesn’t want to work. Bought 3 year warranty so now it’s out of warranty. Wish I read the samsung reviews before I bought it

    I paid around 2900dlls for this fridge, really nice, works fine but the stainless started to chip off. Shame on Samsung, i really expected more from them and their prices.

    I never write reviews, but this refrigerator, as many have already stated, is junk. It looks great. That's about where it ends. We've had it for one day and it refuses to get cold. We read the manual, we downloaded the app and set the temperatures to exactly what the manufacturer recommends. We just finished moving all our food from this refrigerator to our garage refrigerator (which this replaced) so the food doesn't spoil. Setting the temperature on the refrigerator is about as cumbersome as they could have made it. Even after setting the temp on the app, the refrigerator isn't any colder than when it was professionally installed by Geek Squad 9 hours ago. We haven't even gotten far enough with this fridge to start complaining about the ice maker, which is apparently another problem. We are returning it and getting an LG that has significantly better quality controls. When you look at this in the store, you might say "oooh ahhh" but once it's in your home and your food is going bad, you'll wish you went in another direction. Nothing to see here...move to another brand and if you're looking for a Samsung, buy a TV instead.

    Ice Maker Broken after a year

    The fridge itself is okay and is large enough for a family of 5, but we've had it just under two years and 1 year in, the ice maker started acting up. It is a known problem with the refrigerator. Called Samsung and they would do nothing about it. Every few weeks the ice maker ceases up and becomes a block of ice; we have to go through the process of defrosting it and then starting it back up, only for it to cease up again in a few weeks. It's being held together by duct tape, which for a fridge that is under two years old and over $3,000 should not be happening. Now our dishwasher, also Samsung, has stopped working. For a suite of appliances we spent over $10,000 for, you would expect better quality and service. I would never buy Samsung appliances again.
