We get plenty of ice and it’s pretty spacious both in the fridge and the freezer part. We bought this as an open box and were nervous but have had no problems, there were no dents or problems. We are pleased with the purchase!

Samsung frech door with ice maker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this Samsung refrigerator in march of 2021 with a 3 year warranty and now the warranty has expired and 9 months later the refrigerator needs repair. My last refrigerator lasted 15 years before a repair was need and the lasted 5 more after that. Very disappointing.

Its amazing how much more storage space it has for being the exact same size as our old fridge. Its sleek, stylish and incredibly functional! The only downside is the door storage on the side of the ice dispenser is a little weird.

Ice/Water Dispenser is Messy!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the unit for 4 months so far. Refrigerator is good, except for the water/ice dispenser. The water tube is all the way up in the ice chute, so you have to bend down and look up there to make sure your water bottle is under the hose. All they would have to do is add 1" to the tube, so refilling bottles is horrible and puts water on the floor. The ice dispenser on cubed ice still throws out shaved pieces (according to Samsung -this is normal), but the shaved pieces fly out past the rim of the glass. All they would have to do is add a chute flap to control ice drops. If you research this, you will find that Samsung has continued to have issues and complaints about this, of course, I did not research. I wish I had bought a different unit.

The refrigerator part and the freezer part are great, even to this dayt! That said, within 6 months we were starting to have problems with the ice maker. First thing that happens is a drip from the ice chute, then the unit freezes up and, finally, it stops making ice. Solution...Steam the ice compartment or do a forced defrost. I wish, now, that I had researched the hundreds of YouTube videos showing the issues with Samsung french door-ice water through the door refrigerators. Do yourself a favor and do a search on the internet/Youtube before you buy any french door ice+water dispensing Samsung.

My only complaint is that the shelves don’t fold or slide back like my previous version of this fridge. the only place you can put something tall like a carton of milk, is in the door. The ice is also foggy, which is a little off-putting but the manual says it’s supposed to be because it’s flash-frozen.

The refrigerator looked excellent when it got inside the kitchen but unfortunately, a couple of dings were spotted on the outside doors.
