Loud ice maker

Our appliances have always managed to be a hand me down. From that retrospect it's great. But the ice maker is quite loud. I will hear it in the middle of the night just drop. But other than that seems to be working alright. That said, we've had it little over a year.

Major Ice maker problems

The first time my husband managed to get it open. It had melted and refrozen ice in the bottom. A couple months later it happened again. This time my husband was not able to get it open. We called Samsung and after being out on hold multiple times they couldn’t find a repair service company in our area. Fuming!! Our frig will be repaired tomorrow at our cost. Oh the repair man said that all of the Samsung frig’s with ice makers do this. My son has one and the ice maker did exactly the same thing.

Samsung Freezer Fiasco

About 3 weeks ago, the freezer unit went out. I've had a repair technician here 3 times and the last time he said the freezer coils (which are INSIDE the refrigerator) were bad and it's a manufacturers defect and cannot be repaired. So, in essence, I have to get a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I'm a bit disappointed. FYI, the refrigerator section works just fine.
