We ordered this fridge when our old one started leaking from the water filter holder. We decided to upgrade to a model that had an external water and ice dispenser, and this was on sale with pretty good reviews, so we took the plunge. Delivery and setup was great. The team came on time and connected everything. We ran into problems once the fridge started settling in. I had read some pretty dicey things about Samsung and its history with ice makers, but was under the impression that the issues had been resolved a couple of years ago. Not sure if this was just a bad unit, but the ice bucket refused to stay locked in its housing. It constantly pushed out as the bucket filled up and I had to push it back in multiple times a day to avoid the ice melting and clumping together. After doing this for a week, I called Samsung to see what they could do. They gave me instructions on how to properly seat the ice bucket, which I followed. The solve worked for less than a day. With all this frustration and hearing some rattling from the fan, I decided to exchange it for a comparable LG model. The irony is that there's a sticker on the ice maker that says it has a 2 year quality warranty. The refrigerator and freezer were great, and overall I'm still happy with Samsung as an appliance maker, but will definitely steer clear of their refrigerators until they can get their act together and produce properly functioning ice makers.

Freezer is flimsy

I am not impressed with the freezer just yet. I feel it is cheaply made, flimsy, and feels like it will break each time it is opened.

If it lasts past six years I may upgrade it to 4.5 stars and if it actually last the ten years it claims then 5 stars. previous model we just replaced was LG (never buying LG again (EVER)) which made it a whooping 5.5 years before dying, what garbage, and the support was non existent, verbally challenged, and incompetent!!!!! Okay I probably should only do three stars but the delivery guy was REALLY sharp, spoke excellent English, answered all of my questions honestly.
