great for Photoshop work

terrible monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Received this as a gift at Christmas...after a months use the unit started having issues....unit would not shut off, was stuck in store mode, menus kept popping up and monitor would adjust automatically between contrast and brightness. Picture was great when it functioned. Did everything Samsung said to do to reset and no luck. Finally able to get around and return it, unfortunately not available in stores any longer had to get an AOC monitor with better features. Exchange process went smoothly no hassles.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, the picture is blindingly bright, but once you tone it down a bit, it's perfect. Got it on sale for $179, so to me it was a good deal for a 27" Samsung. On the down side, the controls are toggled on the back of the monitor, making it cumbersome to configure. The installation DVD is pretty much useless... it was easier for me to just plug and play and set it up with the toggle. But all in all, for the price, it's worth the money.
