Stunning Colors. Inky Blacks. Insane Fast Refresh

I really like the design of the Samsung G6. It’s thin, light and looks very modern, including the stand, which also tilts, swivels and can be rotated 90 degrees for a portrait orientation. The new model also includes a heat pipe design with a coolant that helps keep the temperature lower to preserve the monitor and prevent screen burn-in. I don’t think I have this technology in any of my other OLED monitors. It also includes other screen burn-in protection methods such as pixel refresh and automatically dimming the monitor when it’s not in use. You can’t beat OLED, especially for gaming or movies. I love the inky blacks and gorgeous colors. And since there’s no backlight, you won’t see the blooming issues as you would on an LED monitor. For productivity, the QD-OLEDs from Samsung do have some weird pixel arrangement that can make text hard to read, especially at smaller fonts. Since I have been using a Samsung 49” OLED for over 6 months now for both work and gaming, I have gotten used to it but some people may not. The G6 includes a glare free coating that does a better job at diffusing light than my 49” OLED. It gives it more of a matte appearance which I prefer. HDR is good enough to be left on in Windows even when not playing games. Look up “hdr demo” videos on Youtube and watch them in 4K HDR. Stunning on a monitor as good as this one. The refresh rate at 360Hz is also insanely fast, and 1440p is the sweet spot in my opinion for gaming. Of course, at that resolution, not all games will run at 360 fps. Less demanding games like Rocket League can easily hit the max frame rate at the highest settings. However, even with my desktop RTX 4090 I have to turn down the settings in games like Fornite and Halo if I want the max speed. Between the refresh rate and the three-hundredths GtG response time the only thing stopping you is your skill-level (and maybe graphics card). The downsides are minimal, and I’m being really picky here but because the screen is so thin, the power circuitry could not fit inside so you have an external power brick. Pros: - 16:9 2560x1440 QD-OLED - Anti-Glare Coating - Crazy Fast 360Hz Refresh and .03ms response time (GtG) - Vivid Beautiful Colors and Pure Blacks with HDR Support - Pivots from Landscape to Vertical, Swivel and Tilt - VESA mount support (100x100) - Picture in Picture Support - Lightweight - Includes HDMI, USB and DisplayPort cables - Three Year Warranty Cons: - External Power Adapter - Better for gaming than productivity Overall, it is a fantastic time to upgrade your monitor with more OLED panels becoming available and if you are looking for a 1440p gaming monitor in this size I don’t think anything beats this.

This monitor is going to be about 400$ in about 6 or less months maybe im nitpicking but personally it is not worth 900$ last year the big thing was 1440p and it was just about this expensive, its not 200$ on amazon. I would say wait about a year and all oled monitors are going to be half the price they are now

I bought this on 5/12. It’s now 6/18 and the monitor completely shut off, wouldn’t turn on and now just flickers. I use it on xbox. Maybe it’s just bad luck but it’s my first OLED and my last for awhile. Going to use my warranty and get a new one tomorrow. I’ve been gaming for 20 years and have never had this issue. I’m glad the Best Buy associate told me to get the extra warranty due to it being an OLED monitor

Another trash product of Samsung! Colors out of the box look worse than a TN monitor! It has a yellow tinge to it in warm1 and other modes are very very blue! I tried to manually calibrate but it’s not good. My old ips displays better colors. I don’t think this is defective as there are many who report this on Reddit. Also it has no remote and the interface is is very outdated. This isn’t acceptable at this price point. Also the vrr flickers a lot. Most reviews are sponsored by Samsung so don’t beleive those. Why do you think Samsung puts this on sale at sometimes for $650 because it’s a trash product.

I was impressed when I first opened the box with the high quality of the metal base and support arm of this monitor. But the build quality of the panel is not on par with those two items. The back and frame of the panel are lightweight plastic (but maybe that helps with heat dissipation?) Assembly is quick and easy, no screws involved. The support arm plugs into and then is rotated to secure it to the base, and the panel has slots that the support arm tabs slide into and then it snap-locks into place. Once assembled the silver gray and black monitor looks very sleek and modern. The screen is adjustable up and down, tilts forward and back, and can be rotated 180 degrees. All the ports on the monitor are centered on the back, 2-HDMI 2.1, 1-Display Port 1.4, 2-USB A 3.0, 1-USB A to B, 1 headphone jack. And all the essential cables are included - HDMI, Display Port, USB A to B. Now the best part! The OLED QHD screen is fantastic! The colors are gorgeously rich, deep, and accurate, and the 1440p is a noticeable step up in resolution and clarity from the standard 1080p HD. There is absolutely no glare, regardless of what or where ambient lighting is in the room and what's on the screen. As far as gaming performance goes, the 360Hz refresh rate and .03ms response time give you flawless gaming performance. Settings and other features include Free Sync Premium, HDR capable, the usual monitor controls including preset game and other visuals, and Samsung's Infinity Core Lighting which is a large LED ring around where the support arm attaches to the back of the panel. It's multi-color and customizable for effects, and pretty cool, actually. There is also Samsung's Dynamic Cooling and Thermal Modulation systems designed to reduce heat and prevent burn-in. That should certainly enhance long term life of the monitor. One thing I definitely do not like is the combination power button and toggle switch to access controls and settings. It's workable and functions ok but it's inconveniently located near the bottom and just to the right of center of the panel. It's awkward to use sitting in front of the screen and I find myself getting up and reaching behind the panel from the side to use it. For the price of this monitor there should be an OSD (On Screen Display) controllable with a mouse and/or keyboard. Overall, this monitor is outstanding for gaming and notwithstanding my complaint about the toggle control, the price of this monitor is competitive in its class.

This new Samsung monitor really hit a home run for me. It checks all of my boxes and it looks amazing while doing it! The 27-inch size and QHD resolution are a perfect combination in this package. I don't have to squint to read small font nor do I feel like content is blurry or hazy. The screen is matte, which is perfect for my well-lit office. The design is very sleek, the monitor is thin, and it feels extremely sturdy in its stand if you want to keep it that way. It is VESA mountable (which should be standard) and is very much appreciated for my dual monitor setup. There isn't a Thunderbolt port but there are two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort which is more than enough for my setup. Color-wise, this screen pops and blacks look great which is no surprise to me given that it's OLED. The 360Hz is insane and way more than I will ever need but boy do games feel smooth. This is also great for watching movies or browsing the internet but it truly shines while playing video games. I would say it's perfect for FPS games or e-sports. I appreciated that I didn't have to use any tools to get it all put together and running. I also really like the circular RGB light bar on the back of the monitor. The only thing I wish was better is the cable management. If I were to use the stand, it only has one small strap for management and it really doesn't accomplish much. That said, it's truly not a big deal for me.

Samsung has surprised me on this screen, OLED is something I never thought was worth the money, until now. I had to try the new Samsung Odyssey G6 for 2 reasons, and not for it being OLED. What did I really want to try? The 360Hz display and super fast response time. I currently use, well used now, the Samsung 49" display with 240Hz for sim racing along with a 27" Samsung curved 1080 gaming monitor to make it super wide around me while racing. Once I opened the new Odyssey OLED G6, I noticed one thing, the build quality. Everything feels solid, great heavy metal base and smooth plastics that do not feel thin in any way. Setup is super fast and easy with the quick attach base and the multiple included cables(HDMI, DisplayPort, USB) made it super fast, plug and play. I replaced the 27" monitor with the new G6 27", so I went from Curved to Flat, and I do not care one bit because once I turned it on, nothing else mattered. The Display is insanely amazing, right away I was mind blown on how deep the black levels are compared to my 49". This is what made me realize what I have heard about OLED was actually true. I thought I had my other screens adjusted to have deep blacks and vibrant colors but I was instantly proven wrong. Right out of the box settings paired with my 7900XTX, every game I have thrown at it so far has not left me wanting more yet. I setup COD first and kept all my normal settings besides the max frame rate I will say I set a lot of my settings the same as most pros do following their setups for certain qualities to be set low so you get more FPS. Well, I was able to consistently see over 300FPS and I can tell you it is absolutely insane how many more kills I averaged because of better FPS and fast response. Next up was Racing!!! I have a decent sim racing setup and this screen has now ruined it. I thought having 76" inches of curved screen was just awesome, but after switching to the one 27" G6, I want to sell my 49" and buy 2 more of these. Yes, the difference is actually so much it makes driving worse for me now as the 27" screen looks so much better I lose track of where I am at on the track because I am looking at how good the background is, how awesome the cars look and how much less blur there is at 230 mph. I am simply in love with this screen and the ease of adjustment from the back finger knob. With a quick push, the menu pops up from the bottom an you can setup the screen with ease for any computer. I will say, I did hook it up to my laptop that has a 4060 in it and I can definitely say the 7900XTX pushes the screen to much better heights of picture quality compared to the 4060, so I would highly recommend a great GPU for this screen, I am not brand loyal for GPU's, so pick your favorite one. Hats off to Samsung on the Odyssey OLED G6, you have made this guy an OLED fan now.

This is one stunning gaming monitor. While playing Helldivers 2 I was amazed at the image quality. The deep blacks of the OLED screen have to be witnessed with your own eyes. You get an amazing image in a thin bezel. The monitor has a premium feel to it. You get 2 HDMI ports, 1 Display port, and 2 USB-A ports. No USB-C port which is unfortunate. If you want to play FPS games this is great for that. You get a 360HZ refresh rate. Mind you you will need the best graphics card on the market. The quick .03ms response time is great. So while fighting bugs in Helldivers 2 there was no delay in clicks registering. The Monitor comes with a Matte finish. There is no glare while you are gaming and in front of the monitor. I very much enjoyed turning all the lights off so I could view the Beauty of the OLED in a dark room. The deep black levels again are amazing. You also get one of the most ergonomic stands I've seen with a monitor. You get a stand that allows tilt, swivel, and adjustment based on the height that you want. As a tall individual, the stand was high enough for me just sitting on my desk. So there was no neck or back strain having to look down. The only negative I had is where the controls are located. The controls are on the back by the ports. If you want to adjust, turn on, or off the monitor you have to get up and do that. It's hard to make adjustments just sitting in front of the monitor. I know people are worried about Burn-In but this monitor comes with a feature of pixel refresh feature. It will also darken the monitor when you are away for a time. I'm very confident in these features. Overall, I see why everyone loves OLED. It is great for gaming, content, and just watching videos. You get a good bright monitor that has some of the best deep black levels. A premium quality build with thin bezels. A good ergonomic stand. This comes in under a thousand dollars! I highly recommend it.

When it comes to gaming, having a good monitor is key. The Samsung Odyssey OLED monitor is a great monitor for several reason. I would like to start off this review by talking about the design. It has a full metal design with extremely thing bezels which make it look and feel amazing. However, one of my favorite parts is the ergonomic stand. The stand allows the monitor to tilt, swivel, and move up/down. The number of adjustments are endless and getting in the right position for gaming is a breeze. One thing that Samsung does well is make amazing looking screens. The glare free finish means that you will not have reflections when you are in the middle of gaming. The OLED screen has deep black levels which becomes apparent when playing graphic intensive games. I was extremely impressed with the colors and quality of graphics while playing games on this screen, it is truly amazing. One thing that is important when gaming is refresh rate and response time. This monitor has a 360hz refresh rate and a .03 ms response time. This has to be some of the best specs on the market. However, It takes a lot of bandwidth for the screen to actually perform at these specs. Plugged directly into my gaming monitor I was able to use 360hz refresh rate. However, plugged into a docking station with multiple monitors it immediately limited me to 60hz. While the other monitor I had plugged in I was able to use 240hz. Overall, this is a great monitor for gaming. There are so many options to make it fully customizable to your liking. The graphics while playing games on this monitor were better than any I have seen before. This monitor is also great for video and photo editing because of the deep blacks and colors provided by the OLED screen.

This is simply an amazing gaming monitor. The picture defies words to describe how simply beautiful it is. It's wicked fast refresh rate means literally no lag or blurring when in use. One thing that could be done better and this is my only complaint about this display is the instructions for assembly of the base/monitor stand. To say they are confusing would be a vast understatement. That being said, once it's put together it is rather solid feeling in its construction and securely hold the display. It's rather adjustable both vertically and horizontally. I am particularly struck by the height it can be adjusted to which makes it easy to keep at eye level reducing any potential neck strain. For connectivity you have two HDMI ports along with a Display Port providing you multiple connections to your computer or gaming consoles. There are no built in speakers which is fine by me as I much prefer the sound from my gaming speakers. Straight out of the box after putting it together and plugging everything in I ran some screen calibration software and the monitor needed no calibration. The color and picture quality have beem second to none. I've never used a monitor this good looking. That should be as it has a rather impressive OLED panel. It's a great monitor for either gaming or watching movies and TV. Overall this has proven to be an outstanding display that I love having on my desk.

Kind of expensive for a non 4k screen. Even as an oled. Great picture quality but for the price it could be much better. And the size should of been 32 or 34 at that price. I would only get this screen when its on sale. Around 600 $ the screen is just ok but not worth it when its 1000$. There are better options in this price range even around the 600$ mark but especially screens over 1000$. Any screen this price should automatic be a 4k oled and bigger than 27 in. I would only purchase this while on sale and if there arent better options

Hello friends, welcome to my review of the 27" Samsung Odyssey OLED G6. This is the current newest model from Samsung, And yes it's a nice upgrade. First off I received the monitor Quickly from our friends over at Best Buy. The unit arrived in a decent box, with proper padding and support for the monitor to not be damaged in transit. The unboxing experience was notable due to the strange instructions. I had to look at the weird pictures a couple of times to get how to put it together. It is not difficult just a little odd how they made the illustrations. Next I want to speak about the beautiful color palette of this monitor it's fantastic. The vibrancy of the game you are playing really pops out with this new OLED. To my eyes the picture is very crisp and clear. I tested this monitor against my Dell monitor, that is 4k also the same size at 27". And my opinion is the new OLED from Samsung is much smoother in the way it looks. No harshness to the pic, and great saturation. I prefer the look of the new Samsung monitor compared to my old unit. Now on to performance, The new 27' OLed is much quicker in latency. Games are not having any difficulty filling my monitor with crisp vibrant colors. The only lagging I experienced was with my tower.( I think I will upgrade the tower next so it can keep up better with this new monitor.) Other than that my only complaint about Samsungs new OLED would be the bezel. The part that surrounds the screen itself. The bezel is about a quarter inch wide around the entire screen . It is not a problem nor does it interfere with anything, it just looks like an older design. Mind you this is nit picking stuff, that affects only the most opinionated folks like myself. Totally not a deal breaker, just my only complaint. With all that said, I really like this new monitor from Samsung. From amazing graphics to the vibrant colors to the nice look of the case. So I would definitely recommend this monitor to a friend whom is looking for a top notch experience.
