For The Price Looks and Sounds Great!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After using it for a few days I can say without reservation that I really love this Samsung curved monitor. Despite a few minor flaws that I will elaborate on later in my review, I find the look and performance to be superb. I personally like the curved design because I like the immersion it creates. I also like that when used as part of a multi monitor display, that the curve slightly narrows my field of view so I can see more without having to shift my eyes as much. Because the benefits of a curved screen are very dependent on personal preference, I recommend that if this would be your first curved screen, that you go to your local Best Buy and see it in person. My significant other told me that she really likes it, but a friend told me that he preferred a traditional non-curved monitor after he saw it. The unpacking and setup were typical, except for the quirky method that the stand attaches to the monitor. The stand has to be initially inverted before the screw is attached, and then rotated around to the correct orientation before the screw can be finally tightened so it is secure. Like I said, somewhat quirky but the steps are illustrated in the setup sheet. I think this is something that should be changed in the future because if someone doesn't check the instruction before they try to attach the stand, in what appears to be the correct orientation, could result in the screw being stripped Included in the box are an HDMI cable, DisplayPort cable, and the power adapter. The color and picture quality are excellent. I am using it in cinema mode and find the color temperature to be pleasantly warm without too much red shift. It is a full HD monitor so it is capable of rendering content in the 1080P resolution. The 75Hz refresh rate makes this monitor suitable for gaming. I tested it with Fortnite and was very pleased with the experience. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the 2 internal 5 watt speakers. They sound much better than most other monitor speakers. I personally use headphones so as to not disturb others, but I would rate them as being suitable for basic listening which is something that I have not been able to say about monitor speakers in a long time. The monitor height is not adjustable and I consider this to be a minor flaw. I will probably compensate for this at some point by using a stand to raise the height. The tilt is thankfully adjustable This is my second Samsung monitor and I love this one as much as I love the first one. Samsung makes great displays and this monitor lives up to that expectation. It looks great and has amazing picture quality. This curved display is perfect for watching movies and gaming, and I strongly recommend that you give it a look.

Great EntryLevel gaming monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is first time owning a curved monitor and i like it. I like the way this Samsung s39c 27" 1000R looks esthetically on my desk and the way it displays the picture! Very minimalist with bezel-less design and a nice metal stand i verry content with it! One thing about the mount, you will need a cross screw driver to tighten up the screw otherwise will pop in place but be really wobbly. It's got 2 HDM's as well a DirectDisplay port and a headphones output which makes it a great all around monitor. Now thinking that also has 2 speakers integrated that sound very well makes it a great value also! It doesn't support HDR and the maximum resolution goes up to 1080p but the picture reproduction is a amazing. I played some ps4 games on it and i was impressed with the quality, smoothness of the image. I found the curvature surprisingly good at making me feeling emerged into the gameplay and also felt even though i was getting closer wasn't bothering me at all! The display looks like is side and top lit which will create some glooming on the darker scenery but reasonable and for the upside the matt finish of it makes deliver a very bright with no glare image in any bright room situation u might encounter! I like the monitor for being an all around with some gaming capability and i think it is a great value being the fact that it's got speakers integrated!

Great monitor not going to break the bank
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor but lacking a higher refresh rate. It's the 27 inch Curved Monitor with a 1000R Curvature and advanced eye comfort technology. If you compare my ASUS - TUF Gaming 34"LCD Curved WQHD FreeSync Monitor in the picture you can see the samsung using the eye comfort technology seems to make the brights not so over bright. The colors on the samsung seem to pop out a little more than my asus. Now given the samsung i have not tinkered with the setting on the color were as with my asus i have tweaked them a little bit but not enough to make a big difference. The setting on the samsung are out of the box and i must say i'm pretty impressed with the out of the box settings. The samsung and my asus both come with built in speakers and they are nothing spectacular but if you don't want clutter around your monitor by having more speakers they are good enough to use. This samsung monitor has a 1000R for less eye strain vs the 1500R curvature on my asus but to be honest the Samsung looks like it actually has more of a curve than 1000R. I'm not sure if it's because it's a 27 inc and the Asus is a 34 inch and that's why the samsung looks like it has more of a curve. The only downside to the samsung is it only has a 75 HZ refresh rate compared to my Asus with its 165 HZ But to be honest with you i have not noticed any screen tearing, motion blur, ghosting or choppy frame rates. It's actually very smooth for only a 75HZ refresh rate. The max resolution is 1920 x 1080 but that's pretty much todays standard for gaming. I do use my Asus for all my higher end gaming because it goes up to 3440 x 1440. Both of these monitors i have and i'm comparing them to each other are both available at best buy. So if you like one over the other you can get your hands on either one of them. The samsung is cheaper price wise than the asus but the asus is also a 34 inch vs the samsung being a 27 inch. The samsung for the price is very well worth the money, your not going to break the bank to get the samsung and the picture quality is actually very good. All in all im very happy with the Samsung and i can honestly recommend getting it if your looking for a new monitor.

Good standard monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me, an external monitor is an essential piece of equipment for work. I live on my computer throughout the day for work and since I work from home full time, a high-quality monitor is required. This 27-inch monitor from Samsung does have a lot going for it spec-wise but I found a few design elements that I thought could be done better. DESIGN The shape of the monitor is lovely. I really love the slim bezel and the curve of the screen. I also really love the back panel of the monitor that covers the I/O ports. It helps clean up the cable mess that normally comes with monitors and provides a smooth profile for the product. The big issue I have with the physical design of the monitor is its stand. The monitor has a short stand (less than 6 inches) that has a fixed height. Normally a fixed-height stand doesn’t bother me because most monitors — even curved ones — are VESA mount compatible. That means I can simple swap the provided stand out for a monitor arm or a wall mount. But that isn’t possible with the factory backing of this monitor. On the plus side, the monitor is very lightweight (approx. 11 pounds with stand) so it is easy to move around when needed. EASE OF USE Setup and use of the monitor is pretty self-explanatory. There is a good explanation of the menu system in the user manual and the controls on the monitor are easily accessible. Plugging items in and out of the monitor can be problematic unless it is done during installation because the back panel would need to be removed. PICTURE QUALITY The picture quality of the S39C is above average, but it does only top out at 1920 x 1080 (full HD) resolution and not 4K. The other spec I want to point out with the picture quality is the refresh rate. It’s only 75Hz, which is typically good for standard tasks and HD video watching, but not great for gaming. It is, however, a good step up from a monitor that only has a 30Hz refresh rate. VALUE I think this monitor is a good value and fits into the ‘budget monitor’ category.

Pretty good little monitor with some flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S39C is a nice curved 1080p monitor. Out of the box you get the monitor, the base, the neck that connects the base to the monitor, a display port cable, and a HDMI cable, the power adaptor, and some inserts. I wouldn't put this monitor anywhere near the gaming category as it only has 75hz. I would place as a basic school/work monitor, and some video streaming. One of the strange flaws while I was simply setting this thing up was the difficulty in simply getting the base on the neck. The base wouldn't align with the neck resulting in me almost stripping the top of the screw that joins them together. It's still not set securely, but I don't plan on moving the monitor too much, so it is what it is. The monitor doesn't have any sort of height adjustment, just tilt... so that's disappointing as well. Another huge disappointment is the fact that this cannot be mounted. I believe that in today's modern clean looking setup, anything 27 inches or larger should be mountable. The speakers sound surprisingly good. They aren't super loud even on the loudest volume setting, but I think it's more for online meetings or some basic sound/music. It does come with a cover for the back that covers the ports. I think the design engineers just wanted a way to make the monitor a little heavier... I don't know. I was under the impression that curved monitors were reserved for immersion, and immersion means high specs and clarity, but I guess they had an excess of curved LED's lying around the manufacturing plant. All in all, this is a decent monitor with sort of basic specs. Don't expect this to be your go to gaming monitor.

Good product at this price
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased the Samsung 27” S39C Series 1000R Curved Monitor, and I have to say, I’m really impressed with it! The 1000R curvature makes a noticeable difference, creating a truly immersive experience whether I’m working, watching videos, or gaming. It feels natural on the eyes, and I’ve experienced less strain during long hours of use compared to my old flat monitor. Picture Quality & Performance The 1080p VA panel delivers sharp visuals and vibrant colors, especially for the price. While it’s not 1440p or 4K, the screen looks great for everyday use. The 75Hz refresh rate is a nice step up from 60Hz, making everything feel smoother, and AMD FreeSync helps eliminate screen tearing in games. Design & Features The monitor has a sleek, modern look with thin bezels, and it doesn’t take up too much space on my desk. The Eye Saver Mode and Flicker-Free technology really help during long work or gaming sessions. I do wish the stand was height-adjustable, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. Connectivity & Sound It has HDMI and DisplayPort, which is great for connecting multiple devices. However, there are no built-in speakers, so I use external ones. Overall Verdict For the price, this monitor is a fantastic value. The curved screen makes a big difference in comfort, and the display quality is great for both work and play. If you’re looking for an affordable, immersive monitor, I highly recommend this one!

A Gorgeous Screen
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S39C series 27” LED 1000R Curved FHD FreeSync Monitor is freaking lovely. The only problem is that I already have two other 32” monitors and the size does cause a uniform issue. But it does the trick. The visuals are crisp and the speakers make it stand out from the monitors, because they obviously don’t have that little feature. The panel in the back holds two HDMI ports and 1DP and a 3.5 mm headphone aux port. And it’s all covered nice and cleanly with the rounded cover cap. It kinda makes me want to replace my 32’ monitors with two more of these. For the most part, it fits nicely with my setup so I really don’t have any real complaints about it. ( nothing that I think should deter you from getting it) Yes. The game mode is a game changer. It feels like what performance mode feels like when you switch it on for your PC( in my opinion). I’ve got my Xbox series X & Switch Oled connected to it now, but I have used it with my gaming PC and I do love it. You can see from the pictures that it looks great in a three monitor setup and it looks awesome as a stand-alone screen. There’s a feature that helps with eye comfort as well, just in case you are going to be spending loads of time in front of your screen, which I’m sure you will be.There’s one button beneath the screen, in the middle, that is your all in one go to control unit. It allows you to make all adjustments you’ll need to get your gaming and work duties on point. I have to be honest, I wanted so bad, for this to be a bad unit, but it really is an awesome monitor. I’ve added a web-cam so I can stream and man oh man, this thing just keeps getting better. Again, the only real problem I have with this Samsung S39C is the fact that it’s making me want to get two more the same size and get rid of my other two( which are great monitors in their own right, mind you. So yeah. If you’re asking me if you should buy this monitor, you already know my answer. It should already be in your cart. It’s highly recommended. Enjoy

Basic Monitor with 1000R Curve for Long Daily Use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S39C is a nice wide screen with a 1000R curve for better gaming. I set this up next to my Samsung UW 1000R screen to compare amd setup to see if I could make it work for Sim Racing. Samsung states it is a 75hz monitor for gaming performance on a budget. That was the first issue right off the bat. After almost an hour, I was able to customize my 4090 to finally see it as a 75hz monitor. There is an issue with the way the monitor sends signal back to the GPU as only 60hz maximum. I do not know why this is happening and I went through all the normal routes to fix this issue and no matter what, the screen would promptly chamge my resolution and refresh rate right after settihg it to 75hz and/or both 75hz and 2560x1440 forced resolution to match the UW monitor for sim racing. Once the monitor was set, on to racing and I must say, i was slightly disappointed in both native resolution and forced, forced was actually better. The screen is subpar for gaming, colors are way off before calibration and there is a lot of bleed and ghosting. I expected a little issues but at this price point, my $149 1440 screen from Best Buy(another brand) was much better quality im construction and picture, only difference was the 1000R and the Samsung is less native resolution. BUT!!!! There is a silver lining! Are you just looking for a curved monitor for easier eye strain all day? Then this monitor is why it moved from 2 to 4 stars for me. The monitor set to its Native 1080 and 60hz, the picture is gorgeous for daily work and even light picture editing. I would not use it for final picture editing due to color differences. For work using Solidworks and Mastercam, this monitor does great, actually, much better than the expensive ones at work, it blew my mind how well it could handle the massive amount of colors for modeling on the screen. It seems the gaming aspect Samsung is trying to sell the mobitor on should have been kept to the bottom of the panphlet and it should be marketed as a high performing work monitor. And last, the matetials used, especially the back of the monitor is 1990s US car maker quality plastic, they could have used smooth for much eaier dusting. The package was great, coming with HDMI and DVI cables, making it nice to utilize the screen between my 2 computers having multiple inputs. If you are looking at this for work buy it, if for gaming, I recommend it for games like Minecraft and slow moving games.

A good option for a curved monitor
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict. The Samsung S39C is a pretty cool curved monitor that provides an immersive gaming, watching, and productivity experience. First impression. This monitor comes with a nice stand, power cable, HDMI cable, DVI cable, manual, and a cover that goes over a storage area in the back of the monitor so that you can hide your cables. The plastic on the back of the monitor looks a bit cheap. The monitor is fairly light. The curve of the monitor looks pretty awesome. Image quality. I tested this monitor with a nice gaming laptop with an RTX 2070 card. I have owned many monitors, but this is my first curved screen. I set it up on the close edge of the desk, right next to my keyboard to get a bigger picture and a more immersive experience. The curve actually adds a lot to the gaming experience… I really like it. Nevertheless, I think could tell the difference in definition and fluidity of image when compared to another high-end monitor that I have in the house. I would still game on it, no doubt. This monitor is otherwise great for normal tasks and for casual gaming. Features. This monitor can connect through HDMI and DVI. It also has AMD FreeSync to improve gaming performance. Lastly, the 1000R curve reduces eye strain and the monitor also includes an Eye Saver Mode to minimize blue light. What I love. - 1080P resolution - Decent integrated speakers - The curved screen provides an immersive experience - It’s a good-looking monitor - The stand occupies only a small footprint, and it’s very stable - Only one button to navigate the menu, but it works well - Comes with HDMI and DVI cables - Great for day-to-day productivity computing, and for casual gaming What I don’t love. - I wish I could adjust the height of the monitor but I can make it work like this - The plastic on the back feels cheap, but then again, it’s not visible on my desk, so I don’t care what it looks like if it saves on the price - 75hz refresh rate is not optimal for high quality gaming. If you have a high-end gaming PC, this monitor will not give you everything that your PC can push Overall, this is a good option if you are looking for a curved screen and you don’t want to spend too much. While it is not suitable for high-end gaming, it is adequate for productivity tasks and casual gaming. I am quite happy with this monitor and we are using it every day.

OK monitor but a little overpriced for what it is
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to say this is a "budget" monitor however, seeing the price, it's not quite that. Performance wise, it's an OK monitor. Definitely a step up if you have an older monitor and need to upgrade to something new(er). Spec wise, I don't think it's up to the price its selling for. Clarity wise, this is a decent, not great, monitor. I had to fiddle around with the settings to get a decent picture and it got me an OK look. It comes with HDMI/DisplayPort cables so you're ready to go out of the box. Setup is very simple and all you need to do is attach the backplate to cover up the cables (if you want) and screw in the baseplate and you're done. For just a monitor itself, this is pretty basic I'd say. There is no tilt or height adjustments available on this monitor. The stand that snaps into place is static so, depending on your preferences, you might need to get a monitor stand/riser to "adjust" the height of it. There is no VESA mounting option either with this monitor. It's a stand monitor so you just have to live with the height as-is or find something to adjust that. The base plate is just a solid steel plate which seems sturdy. My concern is that it's held in place with just one screw....a teeny screw at that. As a gaming monitor, again, if you have an older model one then this might be fine however the price point on this is quite a bit higher than a lot of other models out there. I have a 34" and 49" ultrawide monitors for my gaming rig and those are quite nice (obviously) and packed with more features. If I had to buy this then it would definitely be as a secondary monitor and not a primary one. Screen looks OK but, considering the price, there are better options out there.

Lightweight and Clean Picture. Can't be mounted
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've never had a curved monitor so this will be a first time experience and genuine take on how I think this product functions. First off, the monitor comes with a sturdy steel base giving it the necessary security to handle the weight of the display which actually is very light to handle. Assembly was not reassuring as there was no "snapping" sound when connecting the display to the stand, but it's sill secure. The DisplayPort plays a big role in supporting the true quality of the picture. As this is the first curved monitor I had ever owned, the slight curve took some getting used to but it ultimately made it a more immersive experience. At 75Hz refresh rate, video quality does the job necessary to stream games in smooth resolution. I'm a little disappointed that I cant mount it to a bracket since the ports are in the back, but it's not a deal breaker. The speakers are surprisingly loud enough to not need headphones, but there's an available jack just in case you want them. I look forward to playing some games on this thing. Hopefully there's no screen tear from extended use.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My crappy old Dell work monitor was going out and was small. I decided to pick this up as it was on sale and I wanted a Samsung. This is a great opinion - great size, great picture, built in speakers, easy to put together - lovely, however, I didn’t like the curved monitor. I’m used to flat screens so I didn’t like the feeling of being emerged with work. This is not the fault of the monitor, just my preference. Sadly I had to return for another flat Samsung 27”. If you want a solid monitor at a budget price and quality Samsung brings, this is an excellent choice.

Reasonable Performance and Value
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung S39C performs decently but really doesn't stand out in any particular area. It offers respectable sharpness and the colors are pretty accurate. The monitor is designed to provide an immersive viewing experience with a curved screen that is claimed to be more immersive as it is optimized for the human eye. The monitor offers a sleek, modern look that should complement just about any setup. With its matte black finish and slim profile, it fits in easily to any workplace, especially with the included speakers, which surprised for it's reasonable audio quality despite the limitations of being built-in to the monitor. The rest of the monitor's specifications are pretty basic, and with its 75 Hz refresh rate it's better suited for basic productivity and light gaming. The FHD resolution (1920x1080) makes it suitable to pair with budget/medium performance graphics cards, and while it offers Freesync support, the lower 75 Hz refresh rate, while acceptable for RTS games or MOBAs, holds it back from being suitable for more serious gaming. Many monitors at or just above the S39C's price range offer 144-165 Hz refresh rates that are better suited for esports type games. If you're looking for a budget, general purpose curved screen monitor, the Samsung - S39C series is a solid choice, but if you do a lot of gaming, you might consider something with a higher refresh rate.

Workhorse Of A Montior
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung 27" monitor is a nice edition to my layout I wasn't sure how I was going to like the curved monitor but let me tell you, it's AWESOME!!. The vibrant colors and fine detail make this an awesome monitor for gamers and even photographers. I can push the refresh rate to 75hz, which is a huge help. There's a curved plate behind the monitor to conceal the adapter plate and cords. I also included a photo of the huge difference the Samsung monitor has played in my photo editing and gaming time. This monitor allows users to enjoy smooth images, even during the fastest moving scenes; It minimizes input latency, dramatically reduces image tearing and stutter while gaming. I really love the eye saver mode I can read documents, play games, watch movies and edit photos for longer periods without worrying about eye strain or fatigue. The dynamics between the Black and White colors are stunning and the color definition is very vivid. For never using a curved screen before on a computer monitor, I am very impressed. It almost immerses you in to the picture and almost gives it a extra dimensional view, almost 3D in nature... The thing I worried most about with a curved screen was is there going to be any distortion with a curved screen and I am happy to say. "Absolutely Not!". The images looks perfectly flat, but because of the curve, it pulls the outer edges our of your peripheral vision and closer to your focused view when looking straight forward.

The Big Curve is Worth It.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the curved screen and the flexibility to move things around on it. Somehow, the curve makes it more intimate. The clarity is great. The size requires that it is the only screen in my confined space. Space-Saving Powerhouse with Stunning Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used a lot of monitors over the years, but the Samsung 27" S39C Curved Monitor truly stands out—and not just for its sleek 1000R curvature, which wraps around your field of vision for a deeply immersive experience. From the moment I set it up, I was impressed by how well it balances form and function. The display is crisp and vibrant, perfect for both productivity and entertainment, and the curve adds a subtle but noticeable comfort to long hours of use. But what really blew me away were the built-in speakers. I’ve never encountered integrated audio this good in a monitor. The sound is full, clear, and surprisingly rich—no tinny highs or muffled lows. It’s so good, I didn’t need to buy external speakers, which saved me both money and valuable desk space. That’s a huge plus for anyone trying to keep their setup clean and minimal. Setup was fast and intuitive, and the monitor’s overall build quality feels premium. Whether I’m working on documents, streaming content, or diving into cybersecurity study sessions, this monitor delivers consistently excellent performance. As someone who’s passionate about tech and always looking for gear that enhances both efficiency and experience, I’d be thrilled to continue reviewing products like this. Samsung nailed it with this model, and I’d love the opportunity to share more insights on future releases.
