You need to go into the settings and turn off the auto/dynamic brightness setting or they're gonna dim and brighten at will.

They came with HDMI (both ends) which was a plus. Unfortunately, you may need to purchase an HDMI to DVI cable depending on your video card.

I have an older version of this same monitor as the 2nd. I am very pleased with it

If I go about 12 inches away or closer, I can see each individual pixel... I haven't seen this poor detail in a monitor since I had a big tube monitor 15 years ago. The colors and brightness are fine, but if you look at a small thumbnail, you can hardly even tell what the picture is. If you're reading test that is small at all, such as an email or an online article, some letters are hard to read. Is it an a, an e, or an o? An i and L or two LLs? I'm shocked at how poor it is. Maybe I don't know what FHD is after all.

I was surprised the 27" was being offered at a lower price than the 24" so I decided to go a size up from what I was used to, but it became evident as soon as the screen was set up that the resolution is too pixelated at that size. It was pretty easy to set up and use and was pretty slick looking when turned off, but ultimately I had to return it and shell out a little more for something 4K.
