    DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG REFRIDGERATORS!!!

    Compressor failed within 14 months of purchase. The warranty says it is covered for 5 yrs, however neither Samsung nor Best Buy have anyone who can repair this. The fridge failed in November and it is now Jan 31st and they still will not stand behind or repair the product.

    Stay away - icemaker frosting issue

    Just after the warranty was over, icemaker started frosting up and leaks water through dispenser. Contacted samsung and their suggestion is to run a forced defrost cycle. But that doesnt help. Frosting starts again right after. FYI search for lawsuit on this topic before making purchase. A lot more others are complaining on same subject.

    Looks good! Black stainless shows more handprints than the stainless. The doors must be pushed in order to close all the way. The ice dispenser is extremely slow and produces/holds half the ice our previous refrigerator held.

    I usually don't like "early" reviews. But since there are not any, here goes. This our second new Samsung Refer, after 10 years with the first. We have had this one for less than 3 weeks. As with most Samsung's we we're concerned with the ice-maker. The ice maker leaves one drip sometimes if you pull your glass away too quickly. I followed the set-up directions to the letter for the ice-maker to a "T" I would say that about 99% of the time, it does't drip. We love the "Flex Zone". The lower right hand door section can be used as a fridge or a freezer. It runs very quietly. It keeps things colder than the other one. We like the fact that it has shelves that pull out, in the freezer, unlike the "french-door" type that has a big bin, stuff won't get buried as much. It has two shelves in the upper area that can be adjusted to accommodate taller items by flipping a shelf up or pushing the other one back. The water filter is much more easily accessible for replacement, being upfront instead of way in the back..In two+ weeks we have had no issue with the ice-maker. It might be a tad slow. I use it every day with no dispensing problem. The interior lighting is very bright. The stainless finish is beautiful and cleans easily. Make sure that you measure and re-measure the dimensions of where it's going. It's a big one and might require door removal and/or some architectural adjustments. We really like ours. As I said, it's early. I'll come back with further comments if we hit any problems.

    Awful Delivery Experience

    The delivery company Bestbuy used was a subcontractor with a company called JB Hunt. I'm pretty sure the actual delivery guys paid their two teen friends to do the job since that's who showed up at our house. Basically brought the fridge to my front door, sized up the fridge, said it was too big to fit through the front or garage door and left it in my garage saying there's nothing more they can do and left. Didn't even get the chance to say we'll take the garage door off the hinges. These kids had no idea about what they were doing. Next time we're buying from a company who employs actual professionals.

    The fridge as a whole is not bad, but is plagued with ice maker issues. The ice maker constantly dripping. Drove us absolutely crazy! Tech deemed our fridge unfixable.

    The Icebox is useless

    The Icebox frosted up after only a few months, and so now we don't use the ice/water dispenser. The rest of the refrigerator is great, cut it would be nice if they'd fix a known issue (I just wish I knew, BEFORE I had bought it that it was an issue). oh well...

    Samsung VS LG user review

    I bought from Best Buy an LG french door , LFXS29766S /01 a little over 2 years ago, that just broke. The compressor was running but not cooling. The repair was expensive and with no guarantee that will last another 2 years. We decided to buy this Samsung instead of the LG repair. When we received the Samsung, I noticed the wine rack was missing. I called Samsung , they acknowledged the fact and they concluded that the missing part will be shipped in 5-10 days. A few days later they canceled the order, we called back and forth... not pretty. Conclusion: If for a small wine rack there is so much trouble, I can't imagine dealing with Samsung on a broken refrigerator that won't cool. Poor customer service experience. We ended up with Best Buy giving us the wine rack. Much better experience dealing with Best Buy! Suggestion: Buy the Best Buy extended warranty, so they can come and fix your appliances right. Don't relay on the Samsung or LG service repair. These new, linear compressor, refrigerators are build to last just a few years. The Freon pipes are very narrow and made from 3 different metals that will erode over time if they where not installed right. They will slowly stop cooling. Won't last 20 or 30 years like the previous generation of refrigerators. Be prepared...

    Not enough space for gallon of milk, gallon of tea, orange juice containing. Bulk products that need to be refrigerated. Doors hold next to nothing. Looks huge in store until you bring it home to put your items in. And I was told smudge free, far from it. Calling tomorrow to try to return it.
