Samsung Refrigerator Deli Drawer

We have only had it 3 weeks. The fridge does what it is supposed to do. I cant believe all of the positive reviews and not enough people mention the quality of the Deli drawer and glides. This drawer opens and closes like the 100 year old hutch that you got as a hand me down from generation to generation. My disappointment is that Samsung is worthless as far as help. They said if someone comes out and tells me this is normal they will have to charge me for the visit. My thought is, if this is normal, you are selling a poorly tested product. The correct response would have been, We are so sorry your having a problem. How can we help? That is customer service. Best Buy did a great job and offered to take the fridge back which I declined. The fridge keeps stuff cold, for now. I will certainly not assume that Samsung will be better quality and do my research when shopping for appliances in the future.

Please Do Not Buy Samsung

I contacted samsung and they sent a third party technician to replace the part. The technician came to my house with the part but decided to fix the faulty handle instead of replacing it. His reason was the handle is fixable. Two days after the repair the handle came off again. I call samsung again. They referred me to another third party company for the repairs. The company requested for pictures, and based on the pictures, concluded that the problem is a physical damage. Because of this, Samsung will not honor the warranty. It's been several phone conversations with Samsung and they still refuse to honor the warranty. It's really a pain dealing with them so my advice to potential buyers is "STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG". They make inferior products and refuse to back them.

Stopped cooling after 1 year

Went through all the troubleshooting techniques their automated text service tells you to. I tried calling appliance repair centers to get it fixed. None of them are willing to work on Samsung refrigerators for some reason. I tried contacting Samsung, they sent several service requests out but no one was willing to come to our area (17 miles from Salt Lake City), and then told me I was out of warranty anyway. No one will take money to work on Samsung Refrigerators. Why?

Horrible Product

The freezer kept working but that was all. Temperature in fridge reached 72 degrees overnight. Samsung was not very helpful. I returned the fridge to Best Buy, they picked it up and gave me a full refund. Will never buy another Samsung product again!!!

A less than great experience

The inner drawer slides out all wonky. It was also missing the water pitcher. I have yet to be contacted regarding swapping out to the new in the box refrigerator I paid for. Nothing I have purchased from bb this year has been without problems. Ugh!

Poor Quality

Not what I expected for the price I paid. Hopefully it is still covered under warranty. Like everything else about it.

Don't buy!

Then all of a sudden it started freezing everything in the fridge area. Had repair people out 4 times already to fix it. Been without the use of my fridge for going on a month now. Still freezing everything! Don't think I'll be keeping this one!

Bad Buy

Looks great

I've only just received this fridge today so I'm giving my initial impressions and a nice tidbit on the width that I hope is helpful to others. The fridge looks really great and is huge. 28cu ft of space doesn't mean much until you see it in action. It was amazing to see the fridge and freezer get to the correct temps in about 3.5 hours. The water dispenser works much better than expected, the stream is quicker than other dispensers I've tried. I got the Black stainless steel version. Unfortunately, this seems to be a coating as I had some scrape off while testing the unit. I'm unsure that it's worth the extra $$ over just the stainless steel version. The big thing to be aware of is that the description of the width being 35 3/4" is NOT correct. This is the width with the doors completely off but I don't know how that would be helpful to anyone. Also, when the doors open, the hinge causes the door to open even wider (at a 90 degree angle). I was unable to find any information about this before installation so that was unfortunate. Measuring across the top of the doors gives me just under 36" (35 7/8 at a minimum) and with the doors both open at 90 degrees the width then becomes as close to 37" as you can get.
