Icemaker Is poorly designed, spits water everywher

I had the Samsung service out to confirm what I already knew, that being the icemaker has a horrible design. Even after he removed the metal arm which disabled across ice function, it still crashes the ice when it hits the metal auger and so it spits ice all over the refrigerator so you basically have to clean it every time you use the icemaker. Samsung won’t do anything about it because they say it’s not defective, it’s just a bad design.
