Samsung appliances are horrible stick with televisions only. I’ve had this refrigerator for four years and second major issue. Freezer is extremely loud and food is not freezing. Stick with Whirlpool and Kenmore kitchen appliances.

If you like an ice maker that doesnt make ice then this model is for you. This model also comes with drawers that are nearly impossible to remove. Engineers need to be fired over this sucker.

Samsung will not stand behind their product

Please, do a simple google search about Samsung ice makers. The problems are numerous and cover a decade. The ice makers are just as bad today as they were 10 years ago. Samsung does not acknowledge the issue and keeps trying to lay the blame on other reasons. At some point I fully expect someone to file a class action against all of the big box retailers for continuing to sell a defective product.

Ice maker freezes up and you have to chop away all of the excesses ice otherwise it will burn our the motor. Repair folks said it's common with Samsung and $400+ to fix.

Breaks constantly. Every 3-4 months the icemaker freezes up and stops working. They have replaced it a few times with no improvement. The compressor also went out - it took over a month to get it replaced. In doing further research, our is not an anomoly. Yes, we purchased a Geek Squad service plan - but it does not change the fact that this fridge is very poor.

Ice maker broken after 1 year

Ongoing problem with Samsung fridges - On mine, ice maker has frozen over twice in 1.5 years. Options are to leave the fridge door open to defrost it (2 days) or pay over $300 for service (that is for the part, not the labor). This is evidently an ongoing problem with Samsung fridges - Google this before you buy.

Defective design

We own this new Samsung, and it has major issues with the ice maker freezing up. There’s NO fix for this design defect. Do not buy Samsung, and don’t buy any refrigerator with the ice maker in the refrigerator; find one with ice maker in the freezer compartment. Check Facebook for Samsung recall.

the ice maker drains back into itself and freezes together making it almost impossible to remove it. Didn’t produce ice after about a month and hasn’t since. We do have children so our fridge does get used, but the little clips and door holding plastic pieces that are still there are starting to break after 2-3 years. For the money spent on this appliance we are extremely disappointed and will not buy Samsung again.

This refrigerator is the worst. Leaks , ice maker failed and Samsung says there's no Samsung certified appliance company to repair this boat anchor ! This problem is reoccurring and Samsung has turned a blind eye to it..There is a Facebook page with over 100k folks that are having the same problem, you've been warned !

Like others have said and I have experienced more than once. This fridge has a design defect. The ice maker fails and even if Samsung agrees to come and fix it for free -> it will just fail again after a few months. It gets very loud too. Waste of money.

Junk, owned less than two years and the ice maker died. Won’t cover it. The water dispenser in side doesn’t full all the time and only works intermittently. Very disappointed in this product.

NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GENERATOR

I brought this perticular model last March. Due to a power outage in area caused by Hurricane Laura, I hooked up this unit to our all house generator. And the generator fuse got triped. For the two weeks we had a big issue with our food. As this fridge not work with generator.
We complained to Samsung about this, and they sent field tecnician to repair it. But in the initial conversation they deemed it as a factory defect in the fridge, but after a couple of months they rejected my requst and said it could not oprate (not compatible) with generator(all house) which we own.
I HEREBY ADVISE ANY ONE WILLING OPARATE THIS FRIDGE WITH GENERATOR OR LIVING IN GULFCOAST AREA, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

We have had this refrigerator for a month, it worked for 2 weeks and still can't get it serviced properly. We lost all our food and have been without a refrigerator for over 2 weeks now. So disappointing.

Poor Quality with worse Customer Service

I bought this fridge just over 3 years ago with the 5 year geek squad warranty. This year I had problems with the ice maker not keeping the ice frozen. As a result the ice melts and leaks all over the inside and through ice dispenser. After 5 service repairs the techs are now RE-ORDERING parts that have already been replaced. It's un-fixable. But since it's "only the ice maker" it doesn't qualify for a replacement refrigerator. Don't buy any Samsung with the ice maker in the Fridge compartment, ONLY in the freezer.

Samsung refrigators ruin floors and food

The refrigerators are known to have terrible design flaws. Your floors will be ruined by leaks. Icemakers break frequently and must be replaced every 4-9 months. Visit the Samsung refrigerator recall FB group before buying a Samsung or LG.
