Makes horrible noise when you need to clear out the unit to defrost the mechanism that’s supposed to defrost the fridge. Class action lawsuit regarding same issue in progress.

Stay Away...Poor Ice Make Design

They have known this for years, I only wish I knew prior to purchasing this one. I also wish that the sales person who steered me in this direction was a little more knowledgeable on the issue as well. If he hid know, and still sold this to me, even worse! Bottom line, don't purchase any French door Samsung fridge with an ice maker.

I'd only had the refrigerator one week and the freezer totally defrosted because the drawer was stuck. the interior light shut off, so I didn't notice it until later. The door alarm apparently does not alert for the drawers.
