From day 1 this refrigerator had problems. Now it just died. Will never buy Samsung appliances again.

had bad luck with this refrigerator. Would not refrigerate food. Had service on it 3 times before it was replaced. Truly think it was bad luck.

I've been having this fridge for about 6 months and the only thing I can complain about is the size of the ice holding tray and how long it takes to fill it out, it takes over a day and it just makes enough ice for a pitch jar. Otherwise is a very solid product with plenty of space.

I love this fridge and if it weren't for the ice and water dispenser I would have given it 5 stars. But they really dropped the ball there. The ice dispenser takes way too long to dispense ice, and the water that comes out of the dispenser is just room temperature! I've never had a fridge that didn't chill the water first. So that means if you want cold water you need ice, and it takes a long time for the ice to drop....kind of puts the damper on the convenience of it right? So, I decided, heck with waiting on the ice to come out, I'd just grab some from the inside bucket. Simple, right? NOT. Unless you want to spend about 5 minutes trying to get the bucket back in properly, don't even bother trying to take it out. Really frustrating. It must be an issue with this model because the user manual gives you instructions on what to do if the bucket won't go back in properly. Even following those instructions it took me a couple minutes more to get it to fit. Hmm, now that I think of it maybe I should change the rating to 3 stars? Nah, I'll leave it. The fridge itself is great. So much space, easy access to everything, and I LOVE the center cooling drawer! Plus it's one of the prettiest appliances I've ever owned. But, what I'm going to do is buy a bag of ice and keep it in the freezer drawer for easy access. Kind of stupid to have to do that, especially considering the price of this baby, but hey, not sending it back. It does make ice, I guess I should just be happy for small favors.

Absolute garbage, it broke so many times they gave me a full refund, I would RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN from Samsung Refrigerators.

Had the fridge for a few weeks now. Ice production seems to keep up well with my family's needs. The drawer/shelving layout seems very good and can handle all sorts of shapes and sizes with plenty of room. The middle drawer is currenlty being used as a deli drawer since that's basically what you're giving up in the fridge portion by having this drawer. I can see it coming handy when entertaining to hold large platters or be useful for kid snacks one the little one is old enough to reach. Only thing I've noticed is that the compressor is a bit louder than the 15 year old unit that this one replaced. It's not "loud" per se. You can't hear it at all once you leave the kitchen....but it is a bit louder than I would have expected from a new appliance. Regardless, it's a non issue so I'm not worried about it. Only thing I would change is to make it a bit easier to reach in and grab some ice out of the maker without having ot take the whole unit out.

I have bought quite a few refrigerators in the past and have not been very satisfied with any of them including the last 3 that just did not work well or keep drinks cold. I read reviews before buying and was concerned with people saying it was noisy. Maybe I got lucky but I do not know if it is running or not perfectly quiet cannot hear any noise from it. The flex drawer is my favorite part as drinks in our other refrigerators were not as cold as I like. Set flex drawer at 29 degrees and finally in the Florida summer I can have a cold beer. We have had this for 6 months with not one negative point except the water and ice dispenser is a little slow but do not care as all other parts of refrigerator are excellent. 5 year warranty with 10 year on major parts do not think we went wrong with this one. Will update if I have any negative issues.

I would never recommend this to any one. Buy a kenmore instead.

First I must say the store personal who helped us to the delivery guys who installed the refrigerator...very professional, informative and a pleasure to work with! The Delivery was on time and they made it look easy! Great Job everyone! This Samsung 28.2 French Door, 4 door refrigerator in stainless has a great design and looks beautiful. The controls on the black panel above the ice maker are easy to use plus gives you information on the freezer and fridge temperatures that are easy to change. Opening the French doors seeing the brightness of the LED lighting was beyond my expectations! The design, quality, adjusting, and look of the shelves are easy and very functional. I must say thank you to the engineer who placed the water filter between the produce bins! How EASY that will be to change! Coming up next is the best feature...the slide out door just below the French Doors. Another great ideal with options! The storage of frequently used items at 4 flex zone temperature settings was a huge plus and deciding factor over other brands and models! If your looking for an update to your old refrigerator I would highly recommend this model and design!

I have had this refrigerator for about 3 weeks now and wanted to give a thorough review. I bought all new appliances and updated from Whirlpool based on many factors including a Best Buy associate's recommendation. Pros: Stylish, roomy, bright interior lights, customizable shelving, quick organization with the FlexZone drawer and adjustable dividers, ice cube size and storage amount is perfect, LED display is adequate, magnetic sides, easy to adjust temperature in all 3 zones, drawer handles are smooth and drawers easy to operate. Cons: Fan noise is WAY too loud, ice maker sounds like an air compressor when refilling, can't operate ice/water when right door is open, ice maker is painfully slow when dispensing. Door shelves are small, inconvenient and inadequate for normal use on ice maker side. Although this refrigerator is an upgrade from my Whirlpool french door model, I expected it to be a bit better . I'm not sure why you can't dispense water/ice when the right door is open and am irritated with the noise that the cooling system and ice maker produces. I have read many reviews on multiple forums about the fan and ice cube maker noise. I plan on contacting Samsung to see if there is a "fix" for my fan and ice maker cons. From what I've read, they are aware of the loud noises and will replace the fans / ice maker. If that is the case, I would give it 4.5 stars. If not, I would drop it down to 3. Additionally, the price dropped $100 since I bought it. However, Best Buy only matches price within 15 days.

I am very pleased with the layout and flexibility of the refrigerator space. The flex drawer is quite the dream. So far the ice dispenses well. The gallon size door shelves are a great idea. However, I have been told in the past that the temperature near the door may be a little warmer, so I don't use it for milk. This may be an old idea now that refrigerators are more efficient. So far, everything is great, I just hope the ice maker doesn't give out in a couple of years like my GE profile did.

From the beginning I could hear the refrigerator hum. After owning this refrigerator for about two weeks it started making very loud popping noises. A little internet research found that many people who own Samsung refrigerators have the same problem. The noises are so loud that they have woken me up in the middle of the night. At one point I thought my house being broken into only to find it was the refrigerator making noises. After owning it for one month the ice maker and water dispenser quit working for one day. When I pressed the lever it did absolutely nothing. After a while the light would come on but there was still no ice or water. It took a day before they started working again. I have had a geek squad member here twice. The first time he had no idea what was wrong, guessed at what was making the noises and ordered a new ice maker. Today the ice maker has been replaced so I am yet to see if that will fix the problem of the popping sounds. I was told it was probably when the ice is dumping but it pops ALL the time. This is the loudest refrigerator I have ever owned and will never buy another Samsung.

We are replacing a 12 year side by side that has already needed a new circuit board. We did our research and really like this Samsung French door unit especially because of the flex drawer. I had also received a credit promo offer from Home Depot. We decided that the sales over the labor day weekend were enticing enough to make our purchase. Problem was, HD would not give me their sale price AND the credit promo. We decided to go to BestBuy to see what they could do for us. `We got the exact same price as HD, free install and relocation of the old fridge (HD wanted to charge for this), AND 10% in rewards point. Their Geek Squad extended warranty was cheaper as well. I have never purchased an appliance from BestBuy and was a little worried about the delivery process. All I can say is those guys were TOTAL PROS. They are BestBuy employees and not some deliver service. They took great care installing my fridge and moving the old one to the garage. As far as the Samsung fridge, we are very happy. It is very quiet (even the ice maker) and holds a lot of food. The flex drawer is exactly what we expected and the freezer is huge compared to my side by side. Keeps food cold and with almost no ice build up in freezer. Really like the LED lighting as well. And now, we have over $200 in reward points for our next major appliance purchase. Best Buy paid for our loyalty with their rewards program, but they earned it as well!

This is more of a question than a review, but we just got this fridge, and the motor is noticeably audible - more so than any other fridge I've been around. Not saying it's loud, but it's loud enough that we're *noticing* it. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

My wife and I love everything about this fridge, Except the Ice-maker. The refrigerator itself is beautiful and I would have given 5 stars instead of 3 if only the Ice-maker had been as supposed. The shelves are great and very versatile in their adjust-ability. We love the third drawer, for eggs, cheese, and drinks. BUT the Ice-maker is a bust. I read lots of reviews on all of the major brands and settled on Samsung because of their claims about the ice-maker and its large production. Well, it does make a lot of Ice however, the ice is cloudy not clear and the cubes are weak structurally speaking (I assume this is from oxygen in the ice; perhaps to make it freeze faster?). The Ice cubes are also small (once again, trying for a quicker freeze and that higher ice production?) The ice when it drops into the reservoir from whence it dispenses also sticks/freezes to the auger/dispensing screw (because its made of plastic?) combine this with the weak ice cubes and the result is we get crushed ice and snow from the dispenser whether you have selected cubed or crushed! The only way around this is to do what we have resorted to. We keep a container in the freezer that we empty the ice directly into from the removable reservoir. :( This is a deal breaker for me. To pay thousands of dollars for a fridge with an in-door ice dispense that will only dispense snowy crushed ice??? -really negates what would otherwise have been our dream refrigerator. I would have bought differently if given the chance to do again.

I looked at this fridge for months before finally pulling the trigger and buying it. My kitchen has all black appliances and I have to say this fridge looks great in black. The 4 th drawer is handy for bottled and canned drinks as well as cheeses and lunch meats. Plenty of freezer space, although I also have a deep freezer so I don't need a lot in the fridge. The upper fridge is laid out well and can handle a lot of different sized items. I will say that the shelves on the left door are quite small due to the ice maker and only handle small items. Overall, a great looking fridge that also preforms well. Catch it on sale and you have a god deal

We are so disappointed about this new refrigerator and now angry with the local service team. So regret didn't pay attention to the bad reviews on Amazon. I got this one new on June, It only looks nice and big. It starts generating loud noise since October. Continuously ruin your life, even hear that in the 2nd floor. After playing with it, we found the funny thing is you can temporarily stop that noise by opening and re-closing the door. However, that noise would come back soon of course. We got local service first visit was on Nov 6th, which we asked one day off, he changed one fan, which didn't fix the problem. Second visit was on this Tuesday December 1st, didn't fix anything since he said he didn't have the part with him. Then rescheduled to December 3rd. So this is my third time asking for a leave in one month for this refrigerator! I was at home, while your technician didn't knock my door and directly left a note on my door saying that he missed us. This is totally lying. I'm not sure why he didn't wanna knock the door. I guess most likely he is not sure how to fix the issue with this annoying refrigerator. When I called in the local company, they told us he would come back next Monday. While I'm waiting for him, it seems he would never show up. I already lost four days' salary, and I don't wanna lose my job because of the stupid Samsung appliance and service team. I'm so disappointed about Samsung now. No geeksquad, of course Bestbuy never helps in this situation even for a Elite Plus member who spent over $ 4,000 a year. Please please never buy this model, and get away from Samsung!

After receiving delivery of the refrigerator, I noticed that the tabs that assist the drawers in opening were not working properly. These tabs come out when the handles are lifted to help open the drawers and are supposed to retract when the handles are released. In the unit I received, the tabs do not retract. A second unit was delivered so that the refrigerator could be exchanged or the drawer fronts replaced. However, the replacement refrigerator had the same problem. I visited the local Best Buy which had approximately a dozen Samsung refrigerators with pull out freezers on their floor, and I checked them for this defect. I found that at least 4 (or approximately 1/3) of the units had the same problem which I then pointed out to the sales rep. At Lowes, I showed the assistant manager that of two Samsung refrigerators sitting next to each other, one worked correctly and the other did not. Rather than have another refrigerator delivered, I contacted Samsung service that arranged for a service call. Service came out and ordered replacement drawer fronts. The serviceman returned when the new fronts came in to replace them. When he opened the shipping boxes he discovered that the new fronts also had the problem. He then contacted Samsung engineering on how to fix the problem. I am now waiting on service to get back to me on a fix. In sum, I cannot understand why so many products would have this problem and no-one seems to be aware of it (not even the manufacturer!) or how to fix it.

Before purchasing this refrigerator, we had the naive idea that refrigerators did just that: refrigerate. They keep things cold. This fridge has changed all of that. It doesn't simply keep things cold, it truly extends their shelf-life and adds to the flavor profile of most our foods. Ice cream is not so frozen you need to stab it a dozen times to get a morsel free or leave it to first defrost. Soda drawer keeps sodas crisp and refreshing in a way I never knew before. Cucumbers and vegetables stay crisper/fresher longer. In our old fridge, cocktail cucumbers became slimy and moldy in a matter of three days. This new one extends their life ! I can't say how long as they usually get consumed within the week in our household. Its an amazing product, and I would recommend to anyone!

i got this fridge back in June for our new home. It is very quite, spacious, and we went for the additional drawer for cheese, lunch meat, etc since we use it a lot. I have gotten a lot of complements on the nice fridge
