    NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GENERATOR

    I brought this perticular model last March. Due to a power outage in area caused by Hurricane Laura, I hooked up this unit to our all house generator. And the generator fuse got triped. For the two weeks we had a big issue with our food. As this fridge not work with generator. We complained to Samsung about this, and they sent field tecnician to repair it. But in the initial conversation they deemed it as a factory defect in the fridge, but after a couple of months they rejected my requst and said it could not oprate (not compatible) with generator(all house) which we own.     Poor Quality with worse Customer Service

    I bought this fridge just over 3 years ago with the 5 year geek squad warranty. This year I had problems with the ice maker not keeping the ice frozen. As a result the ice melts and leaks all over the inside and through ice dispenser. After 5 service repairs the techs are now RE-ORDERING parts that have already been replaced. It's un-fixable. But since it's "only the ice maker" it doesn't qualify for a replacement refrigerator. Don't buy any Samsung with the ice maker in the Fridge compartment, ONLY in the freezer.

    We have had this refrigerator for a month, it worked for 2 weeks and still can't get it serviced properly. We lost all our food and have been without a refrigerator for over 2 weeks now. So disappointing.

    Samsung refrigators ruin floors and food

    The refrigerators are known to have terrible design flaws. Your floors will be ruined by leaks. Icemakers break frequently and must be replaced every 4-9 months. Visit the Samsung refrigerator recall FB group before buying a Samsung or LG.

    Refrigerator

    My wife and I bought this Item last May. In 6 months, the freezer went out. Now the ice maker is not working. It was under the one year warranty. We were told that the one year warranty started when they made the refrigerator. We told them that the one year warranty was out before they delivered the unit. After we started looking around there are so many people having the same trouble as us. We were told that once it leaves Best Buy, it’s yours. They want nothing to do with it. And that was told to my wife from one of the people in the executive offices. And Samsung is in Korea and you can just imagine what you run into there. We’ve read there is a class action suit about this in Florida. When we put this on Facebook in Texas, we probably had 80 people come back with the exact problem and no help either. Stay away from Samsung and Best Buy. They are both pieces of crap for not backing there equipment. Very, very disappointed!!!! Beware!!

    Falls apart after 1 year

    We've had this fridge 1 year and 2 months. The flex drawer stopped closing all the way one month ago (right after the one year warranty expired, of course). Called a local repair service and was told that the cable and rollers are not broken - it is just that the design of it is terrible. After one year, the cable has worn down (it is exposed!), so the cable gets stuck and the drawer cannot close. When the tech looked up how much it would cost to replace the whole drawer cable/rollers, he said Samsung has discontinued that part. So once the cable is broken, the drawer will become obsolete (or maybe even sooner because it does not close all the way all the time). What a scam by Samsung. I will never buy Samsung brand again.

    Geek squad and samsung

    Hoping to get Samsung’s attention with our horrific experience ! We have always gone to Best Buy and purchased appliances and more all our appliances and TVs are Samsung ! Never had to worry due to the warranties offered and purchased ! As of today the 5th time we have had geek squad / Samsung reps and still can’t seem to replace our fridge or at least give us the credit we deserve for the fridge we purchased ! From replacing so many parts to this brand new fridge we got we are so frustrated ! I will be posting this on all Samsung and Best Buy social Media’s to further stop this to others and hope we eventually have a resolution ! We always for years said we love Samsung and got others on board but unfortunately this experience handled so poorly as we were so patient kills me to write this !

    Mine came broken.

    Got this fridge because it had everything I needed. I really enjoy the design but 48 hours after it was delivered and installed the freezer is barely cooling and not freezing. Also The flex zone drawer isn't cooling at all.

    Some bad design features

    It is true what everyone else says. The shelves take some getting used to because there is not a great location for wine. This fridge has much less room than my last one so I just have to adjust. The major issue is that I have had this fridge for almost 2 months and we had our first big spill. This fridge is very very hard to clean. I watched 2 tutorials just to remove the shelf. It is a two person job. It requires tools. There are release points you have to hold 2 screwdrivers and press at the same time. It is ridiculous. It took me a whole hour to clean up spilled milk. Not family friendly. My old fridge had the same glass shelf design without any of the hassle. And now my water filter won't stop leaking...because I removed the shelf!

    Worst fridge ever

    This refrigerator gave us nothing but trouble. In addition to the refrigerator giving us trouble, Samsung botched the entire repair process to the point where they actually broke it even more while trying to do warranty work. I won't speak to other Samsung product, but if you are looking at a Samsung fridge with the same compressor system as this, run away.

    Absolutely awful refrigerator. Broke twice -- at 15 months and again at 22 months. The main board failed BOTH times. Lost everything inside ($1,000+) both times. Samsung would not stand behind the product. Got rid of it and bought a different brand. With original cost + lost food + repairs, an extremely expensive $4,000 MISTAKE. Save your money, time and sanity -- DO NOT BUY!

    Do not buy any Samsung refrigerator. Ice maker stops working and they dont stand behind product even when under warranty and extended warranty. Just google it.

    Worst refrigerator you could purchase. The ice machine has been placed 3 times already from freezing up In the back . The back panel of the fridge had froze up twice and now working on my third service call. STAY AWAY FROM ALL SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS! Once out of warranty , it adds up pretty quickly !

    Low Quality

    Just over 5 years old. Bought the appliance package. On the refrigerator the freezer, Flex control drawer and ice machine aren’t working. Cost to repair is $1,100….. microwave was replaced a year ago. Dishwasher door is broke. The black on the stainless steel is peeling off on the stove. Definitely would never buy a Samsung kitchen appliance again. Looks like I’ll be buying a new appliance package. The look and features are nice but want something that lasts longer than 5 years

    The ice maker is in a constant state of being frosted over and will not make ice. It cannot defrost itself. The first summer we had it this happened. They sent a repair man who basically manually defrosted it. Even he said it probably would keep frosting up. By the next summer it was out of warranty. It’s a bad design. I really regret buying this. Also, even when freshly defrosted, the whole cubes are partially crushed and the crushed ice is partially whole.

    Wish i could rate a negative star. This is a piece of junk had less than 2 years the ice maker leaks down the front, freezes up on the inside dispenses water and makes slushy ice when it even makes ice. The unit beeps like the door is open but it is actually a low temp warning (company’s temporary solution is to turn temps to -8 in freezer and 34 in fridge which will over work the compressor). It sizzles like water is hitting the motor, the pull out draw temperature stopped working and can't be adjusted. the customer service does not honor their agreement to replace the unit. There is a class action law suit on this model and at least 20 other models made by Samsung. DON'T BUY ANY SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!! WON'T EVER BUY AGAIN FROM THEM!!!! JUNK JUNK JUNK
