Purchased RF28HMELBSR/AA and immediately had issues with ice maker. We had a repair man come to fix it and he said Samsung is having major issues with ice maker. I called Samsung and they said my model wasn’t covered in the recall even though it’s the same as the recalled ice maker. I was told if I bought local their distributor was replacing it for free. I then went to Best Buy in Evansville, In. And spoke with the manager who was going to look into it. It’s been 3 weeks and still no call back after leaving 3 messages. Nice work Best Buy. You’ve lost a very good customer!

Its a good fridge but there is a recall on the ice, so that's been a pain. Luckily Samsung has been fixing for free. They've fixed 3 times so far.

This is my second refrigerator. Both have had seal problems.

Terrible...ice maker has all kinds of issues..and Samsung is terrible about fixing the issues.

Still working with Best Buy and Samsung on this, but so far it is not looking good. Rust has appeared at the lip of the stainless steel door right where the ice/water dispensor unit is. It doesn't take much research to see that I am not the first person to experience this, it seems to be a systemic problem with Samsung fridges, and they don't seem to care or want to improve the product. If not resolved by one or the other, I will never buy any Samsung products again, and I will move my business away from Best Buy.

Bought the entire set of 4 matching kitchen appliances. I really like the looks of the black stainless steel. After everything that installed the dishwasher did not work from day 1, the water dispenser on the fridge had to be replaced after a couple days, we are also currently waiting for our 3rd freezer door as every one of them has been scratched and scuffed. The oven completely went out on day 23 and we are waiting for a replacement also. The only appliance that I had not had problems with was the microwave. Intallers Have all been very knowledgeable and easy to work with, but the appliances themselves are horrible.

Ice maker had to be replaced more than 3 times. i will not recommend this refrigerator

Do NOT buy this product unless you’d like to replace the ice maker in less than 2-years and have the fan sound like it’s going to take off in less than 5-years. We will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. Their dishwasher is equally as bad. I highly recommend to look at something besides this fridge!!! It’s beautiful and has a ton of space but the parts to fix it cost more than a new refrigerator would cost and our ice machine hasn’t worked in years despite many attempts to defrost it. This is JUNK!!!

I was not expecting the poor plastic used on this fridge. In 3 years I have fixed Ice maker broken plastic box, broken plastic door hinges, broken door flipper.

This needed to replaced after about 3 years. The defroster fails, eventually, blocks the fan, and finally stops cooling. We had it fixed once (at a cost) and then had the motherboard replace (at another cost) and finally gave up on it. Very disappointing. Apparently, this is a known issue with this unit as well. We actually had a similar experience with our Samsung TV. I am done with them!

So we purchased this Fridge on Jul 10th 2018 and now it is not working on Jan 29 2019. Started with the interior lights shorting out when opening and closing the doors and now there is no power to it at all. Called the Samsung help line for assistance and will be awaiting a service technician to tell us what is wrong with it. After I purchased this fridge I had two co-workers tell me that their Samsung Fridge did not last long as well.

Terrible. Spend 2,000 on this fridge and the thing is broken less than 3 years later. The fan freezes up and the "sensor" needs to be replaced for $500! Talking to my friends they have had the same issue, I guess i should have bought the extneded warranty. The ice maker is terrible. The fridge looks great but doesn't work well or last.

Bought in 2014 and thus far have had 5 calls for service. Everything from back wall in fridge freezing over near vents, to ice maker breaking. All of the plastic side door bins and veggie bins are cracked and split. Absolute junk. Meanwhile, my 20 year old GE side by side black fridge in my garage is STILL working perfectly. So disappointing for an expensive item.

Horrible refrigerator. Do not buy!! Always freezes over and ice machine is always frozen. Please read multiple online reviews before purchasing. Samsung is also the worst customer service company out there to get any Issues resolved.

This refrigerator was delivered at my house but the guy who installed it left without properly securing the water hose, water continues to drip and I have called the customer support almost more than 10 times. They just place the call on hold and let you hear music specifying that an appointment is being scheduled. It has been a very frustrating experience and will never buy anymore appliances from best buy!!

SAMSUNG OR LG FRIDGES... DESIGN FLAW AND THEY KNOW ABOUT IT LAWSUITS PENDING WE'RE TRYING TO RECOVER PART OF OUR LOSSES IN REPAIRS, AN ENTIRE FRIDGE FULL OF JUST PURCHASED FOOD AND VERY LITTLE SATISFACTION FROM SAMSUNG.

DO NOT BUY. The black stainless steel finish will start peeling off. I have spent thousands on replacing all of my appliances, including washer and dryer and 2 TV. After research on line, it appears that a class action lawsuit has been filed with Samsung.

Samsung does not stand behind product. Freezer does not defrost, icemaker does not make ice. Refrigerator freezes up and temps rise. Lost $500 in food. Samsung currently has class action litigation pending. Do your research then run from samsung products... !

Icemaker broke just after first year, most of the shelf frames cracked shortly after that. Their support line left a lot to be desired
