    Beautiful but Noisy...

This is my 3rd Samsung refrigerator, 2-25.6 cu ft and now the 28.1, ALL makes LOUD-popping, rattling, screeching noise . Noisy at each interval of ice making, compressor on and off..random noise thru out the day and night. I am returning it to the store and get a different brand. Samsung good for phone, not for refrigerator.

Horrible design. Ice maker failed, shelves bowed and break. Poor technical support and very costly repairs.

Temperature displayed is not accurate and in fact the refrigerator is much warmer. Noise noise, unit is loud. Doors are not lining up well since Best Buy installed them, I was told this would be fixed (over 2 years ago). Ice maker is terrible. Changing water filter almost requires a bucket (mess).

I did a lot of research when I was getting ready to replace my refrigerator and upgrade of a new French door version. I decided on the Samsung - it was a great choice. We love it! It is very quiet, the space is amazing inside. Would recommend it.

At first this refrigerator was beautiful and perfect, it is very spacious both refrigerator and freezer. After about a year and half we just started to have issue after issue. It was either the ice maker that wasn't making ice or the cooler that just wasn't cooling. We bought refrigerator in 2015, we serviced it in 2017, 2019 twice, 2020 2021 All same issue, making a huge noise when doors were closed. So annoying! I really should have called so many other times, but we dealt with the NO ICE MAKING by buying a portable ice maker and buying ice cubes. During the Pandemic broke twice, now I only have limited warranty, I have to pay Best Buy $100 to come and see issue,, if its the same part it will be covered BUT I will have to pay labor. If its not I still have to pay $100!! I am DEFINITETLY not purchasing a SAMSUNG ever again, I have already discourage my family and friends from buying one.

4.5 years and stopped working... really?

We loved this refrigerator when we purchased it. The amount of space was great and it was our first french door fridge; we will never go back to a side-by-side door model. The ice maker stopped working around 2 years (still under warranty) so we got that replaced. Then at 4.5 years, the ice maker, then the freezer, and then the fridge all stopped working within a week. Took 4 repair trips replacing parts and 5 weeks later to determine it was unrepairable. Really!!! 4.5 years old! That is totally ridiculous and unacceptable for a refrigerator. Luckily for us, the sealing system warranty of 5 years was still in play and we were given a credit to purchase a new refrigerator; we got an LG and hope that will last a while longer; but who really knows since no one cares about quality control anymore. On a side note about Samsung appliances... we purchased a Samsung Dishwasher about 2 years after the refrigerator; we thought we would keep the same brand names. The dishwasher ran once and then stopped working. Had them bring a new one out to replace it. The new one had to have the circuit board replaced 3 times and after 1.5 years, we finally gave up; threw the dishwasher down the back hill and purchased a Bosch. So bottom line.... Samsung does not know how to make kitchen appliances and we will never, never, never buy another Samsung appliances again!!!

    Buyer Be Aware

Please be aware of a problem that most Samsung products suffer from. Our three door refrigerator, that is only five years old, had one of its door handles break while trying to open it. The part, which holds the pin that holds the door handle, broke. The plastic part IS NOT REPLACEABLE. That means that if this part breaks, you have to buy another complete door. There is nothing wrong with the door other than this weak plastic part. The plastic part that failed probably costs a buck or two to make and maybe twelve dollars in a store, if it was sold, now costed us $300. It seems that during design and assembly, SAMSUNG has placed a PLASTIC part that is not repairable and the customer is responsible for their mistake. Custom services' response was that there was nothing they could do because my refrigerator was not under warranty. Since my fridge is five years old, a warranty wouldn't have helped anyway. Your concern should be that SAMSUNG's products have these parts in them. If your spending your hard earned money on SAMSUNG products, your depending on the SAMSUNG name and reputation to help its customers out when one of their products has failed. This is a design flaw by SAMSUNG. SAMSUNG should take responsibility for their mistakes.

    Piece of junk

I have never written a review about anything before but am upset that I paid so much money for something so bad. We bought it because it had lots of good reviews. Not sure why. First of all the ice maker is very small. It you don't have kids and never have many guests you will probably be fine for awhile until the ice maker stops working. We have reset it several times and it works a bit and then stops. Now it doesn't work at all and we are now past our 1 year warranty. The ice maker and water dispenser are less accurate at hitting the glass/cup compared to our old GE. The refrigerator is also SUPER noisy. I have never heard such a loud refrigerator. It makes all sorts of strange noises. Third it has quite a few extra moving parts that I am sure will break....especially with lots of kids. Sometimes when we are close the doors the flaps on each door collide. The plus is it is a nice looking refrigerator....but looks don't make ice!

    Dont' buy samsung fridge

Don’t buy a Samsung Appliance! I have had the expensive French door fridge for less than 2 years and we have had three service calls. All for different issues. Now at the third time, I have to pay a $200 service call to have the icemaker fixed. The service center they assigned me to expects me to wait around all day until they decide to show up. I was on the phone for an hour this morning trying to get a valid phone number from Samsung reps (took three) to confirm the service window. At 10 am they finally called me to say they would arrive between 4 and 5 that afternoon. What!! I am paying you $200 and you will wait until 10 am to call me to say you will be there over 6 hours later. I am sorry but I work and took the morning off for this service call. I have to be at work by noon or there is no money for a service call. Now I am back to square one. I have waited 5 days for the service call and now I am waiting 48 business hours (which since it is Friday) will be Tuesday before I hear from someone to reschedule this service visit. Again- Don’t buy a Samsung appliance!

Worst Refrigerator I have ever owned

Absolutely Rubbish! This thing has gone down hill since the moment the warranty expired. First the Ice maker started to fail and had to be reset every single day. Now that it is all of 3 years old, it has stopped cooling completely! The lights come on and that is it. A $2000 Refrigerator that barely lasted 3 years! You are out of your mind if you buy any Samsung Kitchen Appliance! Take lesson from me! Three New appliances from Samsung, a Dishwasher, a Gas Range and now the Refrigerator all failing as soon as the warranty expires or shortly thereafter.

    Good Appliance- TERRIBLE ICE MAKER

We've had this refrigerator for 4 years now. Overall we are really pleased. No electrical issues, no rust, just awful ice maker. Evern when it was good, we would run out. I was worried about that when we went to buy and it, but never knew how bad it actually was. We've had it serviced almost 5 times now. After about the first 18 months the ice maker would freeze up and stop making ice. Geek Squad has replaced every single piece inside the ice maker possible. Here we are 4 years later and it's pitiful to use my own hairdryer to melt away the freeze, every month, so that we can have ice. NEVER AGAIN will I buy an ice maker in the refrigerator portion of the unit.

    Terrible after a year

I am such a Samsung fan I have cell phones, dishwasher, oven, microwave and washer & dryer, but this refrigerator has been nothing but headaches after a year. Ice maker freezes up so we have to chip away the ice, also the fan sounds very loud after a while and its because its all frozen at the back. My husband took everything out of the fridge to take the backing off to chip off all the ice that frozen up and it seems that we have to do this once a month now. Very disappointed now we looking for a different fridge because this one doesn't seen to keep our stuff very cold.

    Great Refrigerator

As with most people, I did a lot of research on fridge's before buying. The 10 year warranty on the compressor was somewhat of a push for me in looking to Samsung fridge's (I just had my GE Profile compressor go down after 7 years). When this Samsung fridge went on sale, I jumped on it. So far, so good. Had it for several weeks and it is cold, large, and beautiful. I did end up getting the GeekSquad 5 year protection just in case, though I debated it for a while. Anyway, we're happy with this fridge with a household of 4 kids and it holds plenty food and keeps things at the right temps.

I love my black stainless Samsung refrigerator! When it arrived the plastic drawers were cracked but the customer service department was quick to send out replacements with no hassle. The only complaint I have so far is the ice machine location. It takes up too much space in the door and the parts are plastic which might break easily. But overall, very happy with this buy!
