However, the source switching is so bad that these are practically useless to me. If I have my work laptop idling in the background, these will randomly switch to it while I'm trying to game on my desktop. This happens even with automatic source detection turned off. Additionally, there's one button on the monitor to navigate the menus and turn the monitor on/off. UNFORTUNATELY if you're on the wrong source and want to switch, the monitor will automatically assume you meant to turn it off if there's no source input. It's completely absurd. If I am on HDMI1, and I want to switch to HDMI2, I have to do the following: 1) Open the shut down dialogue on the computer hooked to hdmi1 and hover my mouse over the shut down button 2)Turn on the computer hooked to hdmi2 3) Wait 10-15 seconds to see if it automatically decides to switch to hdmi2 3) If not, navigate the menu on the monitor to the source switching menu, and hit switch 4) wait to see if it finds the active source on hdmi2, else repeat step 3 5) one switched, click the mouse, which should be hovering over the shutdown button for the computer hooked to hdmi1 I've got two of these monitors, and they both act up, and usually act up differently than the other. So one will autodetect the switch, the other I'll have to fumble through the menu to switch sources. God help you if either computer attempts to put a display to sleep during this process, because these monitors will just turn off and not wake up when the computer tries to wake them. The UI on these monitors is the absolute worst out of any product I have ever bought.

I hope the input panel will last. This is my 3rd Samsung the two precious Samsung televisions input panels failed. I reached out to support and they were less than helpful and would not offer any viable repair options for me despite the television being a little less than 3 years old. They only respond when you tweet at their national account and literally bricked my television for the better part of a month before it was resolved. The input panel still doesn’t work and so it’s a glorified streaming monitor now. Please stay away from Samsung televisions as it seems they have decided to sit back and rest on previous accomplishments rather than supporting their products and the current customers they have.
