Customers are saying

Customers admire the 28” ViewFinity UHD IPS AMD FreeSync with HDR Monitor's picture quality, color vibrancy, and value for its price, frequently praising the HDR capabilities and ease of use. However, some users express concerns regarding the refresh rate and the monitor stand's sturdiness. Additionally, the lack of built-in speakers and the placement of the VESA mount have drawn criticism, as has the input switching mechanism.

Upgrading from a 1080p Acer 21.5" and this thing is not only massive but is also beautiful. I paid about $300 (not inc tax) and I would consider it worth my money. It's also rather thin, about an inch. Also it has a DisplayPort spot even though I don't remember them really advertising that but I saw it in the photos. Also the joystick style single control for the monitor is much better than a bunch of buttons. The addition of FreeSync/HDR/Eye Fatigue settings are also welcome additions.

Using this to hook up to my Mac mini. Had a different Samsung monitor before that just seemed off (wasn't sure if it was the color or text being a little blurry, 1080 display, or both).. This monitor, however, looks perfect. No complaints! I don't see any blurry/weird text in whatever resolution I go with. Colors look like Mac colors. GREAT screen real estate.

Bought this for my PC and Xbox. For my PC it’s perfect. The display is bright and the dynamic contrast is perfect for email and general purpose like spreadsheets. I do trading so the Eye Save Mode feature is perfect for it. Doesn’t hurt my eyes in a completely dark room. The only draw back is the auto input switching. Has never worked and have given up on it. The center control button also sometimes takes a while to load which can be annoying. For the Xbox on the other hand... the video looks great. Crip and clear with beautiful HDR, but for some odd reason it auto toggles in and out of HDR based from game to game and the Home Screen which has been a problem. If I’m in an HDR game and go to Home Screen the screen turns black and then I’m stuck not being able to do anything. The center button won’t do anything, the input switching doesn’t do anything. The only way to get it out is by guessing at getting back to the game. Overall it’s a good monitor for the HDR, Eye Saver and Dynamic Contrast. I did try to use it as a second monitor for my 27” iMac and it sucked. The 5k resolution on my iMac makes this thing look like a 1080p monitor. I tried adjusting the settings but couldn’t get it to match the iMac so I stopped using it for it. Not saying the monitor doesn’t produce a great image, it’s just doesn’t compare the iMac.

Very good quality and was definitely worth it! It works very well with my pc and xbox series x my only complaint is the mount area in the back but even then it's not a big issue!

Bought this as a way to to replace an old small 720p flat panel television and get 4k. The picture on this monitor looks great. However the unit I got home tilted slightly to one side after assembling the stand. The stand is not adjustable. And one needs to remember that this is a computer monitor and NOT A TV (no remote control). The power button and access to the user controls are under the front lip of the screen. Everything controlled from a mini joystick which takes some getting used to...

Surprisingly Good Monitor for Certain Use Cases

This monitor turned out to be far better than I expected. Colors are rich and vibrant, contrast is excellent - more on that later - and text is sharp and clear. You will need to use 150% scaling, which works fine with almost all modern programs. It might cause you trouble with older programs. The design it modern and sleek, and the monitor appears to be well made. There is no height or pivot - only tilt - a reasonable compromise at this price point - don't pay more than $275 or so, though. A DisplayPort cable is not included - only an HDMI - so plan on buying a good, quality DP cable, if you want to hook the monitor up that way. This is not a gaming monitor, although it will be fine for casual gamers. It even includes Freesync - 40-60 Hz. It you're a serious gamer, you already know that this isn't the monitor for you. This monitor is designed more for general internet use, office use, etc. And if that's you, and you've never used a UHD monitor, you are in for a treat. Text, etc, is so much sharper and clearer on UHD monitors. A word on contrast... This monitor uses an IPS panel. IPS panels have great color and vibrancy, but can't touch VA panels for black levels. This won't matter in a regularly lit room, but in a dark room, you might notice that dark areas aren't quite as black as what you are used to on televisions, which generally use VA panels. Do your homework on panel types before deciding which you want. Don't get caught up in the fact that VA panels have three times the contrast of IPS panels. That's only because they have such deep blacks. In a normally lit room, you won't be able to tell the difference. Dark content in a dark room is another matter. With a height adjustment, and an included DP cable, this would have been a five star monitor, even at a higher price. The picture is really that good.

I'm using it as the primary display for my 2019 MacBook Pro 16". The image quality is awesome, texts look pretty sharp. I'm very happy with my purchase. Pros: Color accuracy Brightness Image Quality Great for work Eye saver mode is handy! Cons: Control button is minimal but it could have been a bit more intuitive

Great monitor with excellent brightness level and color. Text is easy to read, nice and sharp. Very close to image quality of my daughter's $500 Benq. No dead pixels or corner/edge bright/dark areas. I do wish stand was vertically adjustable, but otherwise very nice. Almost didn't consider this monitor due to the typical overly critical, picky reviews I read. Definitely glad I checked this monitor out in person at my local BB...and the sale price made it an outstanding deal.

It's a great budget 4k monitor. No you are not getting 120 hz display at this price point but for noncompetitive gaming in 60hz 4k it's definitely very nice to look at. Played doom eternal , cyberpunk and warzone on it so far and it was impressive. Menu seems a bit quarky and adjusting to the signal nipple control is just an adjustment. I like that the control is in the center front. HDMI and Display port. Aux port /no speakers.

Well worth the price. I needed a new gaming monitor and wanted something that would support my ps4 and soon to be mine PS5. This bad boy has hdr 4K resolution decent refresh rates and a perfect size for a gaming desk. There are some nice features and gaming mode looks great. I also do some lite pc gaming and it performs far beyond what I need to play some league of legends. I recommend unless you are looking For a demo quality monitor. This satisfied all of my needs

Great monitor for games and design/content creation. I am using this with my Creative Cloud apps and it works great. I also have my XBOX One X connected to it and it is working great, as well. The OSD controller is a small, finger-controlled knobby thing underneath the bottom of the unit...takes a bit of practice getting used to it, but I can make changes very quickly now. Recommended, especially at BB discounts (around $300-320).

Great Product. I have had this monitor for months and have had zero issues. The size is ideal for running multiple windows and working spreadsheets. I use it with my MacBook Pro without issue. I did have to modify the dual monitor mount when attaching the bracket to the back when I transferred from the provided desktop stand to a dual monitor desk mount. I like the monitor so much I purchased a second.

Excellent service. Delivery as stated. On time. Samsung great once again. UR55 28 " is beyond my expectations. I recently tried 2 other monitors. One, a Gigagbyte claiming to be 144 Hz. False claim. i had screen tearing from the last 2 monitors. Not acceptable. this monitor seems flawless so far. Highly recommend. great price as well.

Best Value for the price, Not as expensive as other 4k monitors. I do a lot of video editing in this works perfect with my MacBook Pro. If you are not a gamer and does need super high refresh rates, but needs 4k quality then this is the best.

After about a week of use, I can honestly say that it is a crisp and clear screen. I am running a MacBook Pro M1 13" + CalDigit TS3 USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 hub + DisplayPort cable. Be sure to go to the display settings on MacOS to change the color profile to get the best quality. Love the minimal bezel and additional HDMI ports for other accessories like my PS5. The price for this type of display is outstanding. Would recommend!

This monitor is great. It's crisp, colorful, and a has all the ports I need, including an aux port! My biggest con is switching inputs. I use this monitor for work and gaming, and each have different inputs. Sometimes it can be buggy trying to switch them, and sometimes the screen doesn't even turn fully on when powered up. Not sure if it's a glitch or I'm doing something wrong, but it can be super annoying at times.

I had been using a very old SONY tv/monitor which had a very nice picture with accurate colors and good clarity. I finally decided to spend for a new monitor during the Xmas sales. I am glad I did. The Samsung has a fantastic picture, great color, and much more detail than the old monitor. It also uses significantly less electricity. Very pleased with my pruchase.

Got a new job and have mainly been working from home. Needed a monitor so I could see better. I also use this for gaming on PS5. Although I don't think this is technically considered a gaming monitor, the 4K HDR looks incredible for PS5. Input lag is very low, but only 60hz. If looking for something to game on, however, probably better off getting a gaming monitor.

At this price point, these monitors are impressive. They deliver excellent performance with DisplayPort and decent results with HDMI. I did need to tweak the color settings on my Mac, but the adjustments were straightforward, and the displays now look fantastic. While I might hesitate to recommend them for gaming, they’re absolutely top-notch for video editing and graphic design work.
