From my experience maybe I got the bad one, mine had very dark color so I returned it, but people had a great reviews so should be fine. look for peoples reviews.

This monitor lasted for less than two years. The screen is black. Nothing displays, no menu or anything. Tried different computers and cords and ports and nothing. The power light is on, and when I plug it in, my laptop monitor flashes, so I know it's connecting to the laptop Support said I need to get it repaired, and the repair fee is, get this, $299. I said that's more than it costs. He said I understand, but that includes labor and parts and shipping. Okay. Sure, I will pay $70 more and ship it to you to fix it instead of buying a new one!! I've never had a monitor break. They should not be breaking that quickly. Ridiculous!

I brought the first one home set it up and the images were GREAT! the the screen would black out, then come back on and black out again and again. I returned it to BestBuy and it was an easy exchange for another one just like it.
The second one did the same thing, only it blacked out and stayed out. It was also returned to BestBuy.
I ended up switching to a different brand and it works great!

Right out of the box, I had noticed 2-3 stress points on the edges. The overall quality of the display is good but I ended up returning as I don't see its worth the price with bleeding around the edges that is more noticeable when you have a darker background/picture.

This monitor does come with adjustable height stand. But that's okay! I bought this monitor along with a desk mount. Most the VESA now have both 75x75 and 100x100mm pattern. Because of the stupid round shape design, Vesa does not fit in the place. I couldn't find any desk mount monitor arm for 75x75mm vesa only.

Display port won't work in 2013 MacBook Air

Native display port to display port does not work when connected to mid-year 2013 MacBook Air. Tried it with two different mini DP to DP cables and tried to reset the monitor as well as change the DP from 1.2 down to 1.0. The Mac senses the monitor and thinks it is driving two monitors, but the Samsung stays black. I can only get DP to HDMI to work, so only have the lower resolution option. Older Mac users beware!

Speakers on monitor stopped working a couple months after we purchased the monitor. We sent it into Samsung to get it fixed under the warranty and they did nothing to fix the problem. Over a week without the monitor and it comes back still no sound and Samsung claiming they found no problem.
We have tried different sounds source, cables, inputs. Even switched the cable from a monitor that is working to this one and still no sound.

Bought two of these on sale, both wouldn't auto switch inputs when turning on a laptop, have to use the OSD button to switch inputs. I foresee wearing out that button early. Also doesn't help the OSD is clunky to use. Returning.

I bought a Samsung 32" monitor and the mount broke just sitting on my desk. The monitor crashed down on my face. The second Samsung wouldn't stay on for over an hour. The third Samsung upon return of #2 was intermittent. Sometimes the menu would not show up, sometimes the screen would go black, sometimes it wouldn't turn on or turn off. I wonder how Samsung #4 is going to do.

After almost 3 years of ownership I have this to report:
Display Port died in less than a year and I had to use the HDMI port, which also died a year after that.
I ended up selling it and getting a better Samsung 1440p monitor.
