Customers are saying
Customers admire the 28” ViewFinity UHD IPS AMD FreeSync with HDR Monitor's picture quality, color vibrancy, and value for its price, frequently praising the HDR capabilities and ease of use. However, some users express concerns regarding the refresh rate and the monitor stand's sturdiness. Additionally, the lack of built-in speakers and the placement of the VESA mount have drawn criticism, as has the input switching mechanism.

The monitor I've been waiting for!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As the owner of a 4K UHD TV for the past three years, I've been spoiled by how amazing Full HD Blu-rays look on it; the visuals/colors just really pops when watching. It got to a point where I was no longer satisfied with a Full HD monitor for the PC. I don't have the shelf space for anything bigger than 28" so a TV wasn't going to work. The initial 4K monitors that were coming out started pricing close to the four figure range so that wasn't going to work, either. Eventually I stumbled onto this monitor: majority positive reviews, priced fairly decent, perfect screen size. Setup was relatively easy: installing monitor to base, connecting terminals to outputs, adjusting settings took about 30 min. Colors are rather accurate out the box but, for those of you who're insistent to tinkering, the color setting is disabled when set to Cinema mode; you can use the Custom setting instead if you want to play around with color & gamma. Catching up on the last few seasons of Hawaii Five-O & also watching Picard on CBS all-access and the colors are vibrant: lush greens, eye-popping reds, etc. Same goes for watching Batman (the 60's tv series) on remastered 1080p Blu-Ray via PS3 connected to an HDMI receiver. And blacks are just that, black, not a dark gray; they're often times rich & deep (almost OLED black). Don't let the screen size fool you- there's plenty of amazing detail on display here: I can make out all sorts of freckles, pores, liver spots, wrinkles, etc. Particularly watching Batman the 60's series, I can see the delineation of blacks in the suits that are being worn (lapels, designs, fabric, etc.); I can even make out the seams in the Dynamic Duo's tights where they begin & end (wasn't seeking it out; just hard not to miss, lol). Can't speak on the HDR aspect nor FreeSync since the graphics card in my PC doesn't support it (not really an issue for me since I use my big-screen TV for those matters). Toggled around with the PIP function (don't have a need for it, personally); the different screen sizes seem more than adequate. My only real quibble is the lack of individual memory presets for EACH terminal: having to constantly adjust picture settings when switching between the 2 HDMI inputs can be a bit annoying. Oh well; I'd still highly recommend this monitor to any/everyone who's interested.

Perfect 4k Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review date 2/5/2021: Bought 2 of these in April 2020 that I use daily working from home. Bought another one in November 2020 with the great black friday deals. Wife is using that one. These are perfect for working from home and recommend to everyone. No need to go any fancier. Make sure though that your computer can support these. My main work computer is an i7 Lenovo that is 5 years old. The mini Display port can do 60hz, but the HDMI port can only do 30hz. So while using that computer one monitor is 60hz and the other 30hz. Not a huge deal and barely noticeable in most cases. My other has thunderbolt c, so just got a splitter to dual display port. Make sure you buy a spiltter that can do 4k at 60hz to BOTH ports and then cables that support 60hz. You can find cheap ones on Amazon, but its also flooded with 4k at 30hz crap. 30hz vs 60hz is just refresh...you get 4k with both.

Great value for a 4K
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it on sale, I think the color accuracy is good for the price, however, the refresh rate is not the best. But if you don't care for that and want 4K resolution and color accuracy this is a good option if you have a budget.

Love it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice monitor, wish it was higher than 60hz, but for the price, I can’t complain. I have nothing but Samsungs and have been very lucky and pleased with them.

Great with my Mac Mini
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Up to the task! Works great on my Mac Mini M1. Exceptionally crisp fonts, good performance. Speakers are pretty weak. They're a _minor_ upgrade over the mac mini's internal speakers, but you'll want actual real speakers I think.

Solid entry-level 4K monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for work for video editing, multitasking, and zoom meetings for use with an M1 MacBook Pro. Pros: The color reproduction looks good to my eyes and the clarity of images on it is excellent. It is 4K, which is why I got it for both video editing and future proofing. The pixels are almost to small to see with the naked eye. Cons: Text appears ever so slightly blurred on it but it is not a deal breaker and does not hurt my eyes. At 60hz Max this is not for gaming, but works fine for my needs. Off-center viewing loses color accuracy pretty quickly, but is not pronounced enough to be a privacy feature of the monitor. Overall: This is a solid entry-level 4K monitor for the price. Not amazing, but basically competent for what I purchased it to do.

Pretty nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this monitor, even if it has no speakers (you can still plug them into the monitor), and the auto HDMI switching is essentially useless. Otherwise, it’s handsome and has a great picture.

Samsung 28" 4K UHD Monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung does NOT disappoint. This is my first 4K monitor and the picture quality is top notch! Samsung has consistent quality on all of their products. I love the simple menus, cord management, and build quality. The eye saver mode comes in handy for early morning or late night viewing, thus greatly reducing eye strain. I use this monitor for Work from Home running SOLIDWORKS CAD software and the image quality is perfect for this task. The price was just right too, always happy with pricing from Best Buy.

Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took advantage of a great price offered by Best Buy. Our one workstation was using a 5 year old monitor that was beginning to fail. Did not realize how bad the old one was until I installed this one. Wow. Bright, clear and easy on the eyes. Great buy.

Satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this one on sale under $200. 4k 28” monitor under $200? I should be satisfied lol. I like it with a monitor arm. The original stand us too big and couldn’t hold certain tilt angle.

Open-Box misfire at first that ended well
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this was another one of my "Open Box Excellent" exploits. The first unit was delivered, and I installed it on my desk to replace my aging 24" Lenovo QHD monitor. Unfortunately, the plastic on the back of the monitor was unsnapped on one side - no big deal, it snapped right back in. However, even though the unit connected to my computer right away, the joystick/power button was completely inoperative. Back to my local BB. They did not have another open box unit, fortunately while in the store I was able to order another identical unit online. It was $10 more for whatever reason, so be it. This one arrived a few days later and is excellent. Pros: - (2) HDMI inputs to allow switching from my work computer to work laptop without an A/B switch - Well-designed cord management system integrated into the base really cleans up the looks - Outstanding picture quality and has an EyeSaver more if you want to work in dim light Cons: - The "joystick/power button" combo is a bit wonky. I am sure I will get used to it, I only have had the monitor a few days as I type this. I know, showing my age a bit here! - Compared to the metal base on my retired Lenovo monitor, the plastic base seems a bit flimsy, but I suppose it's adequate - Thickness of the unit at the top means my webcam does not sit as securely as before - may need to enhance with a piece of Velcro If you can get this in the mid $100's as I did, it's a no-brainer!

Nice Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good tv. The picture quality is great. Fast updates. It’s really a good tv. The only thing I don’t like about it is it only has 2 hdmi points. Ever t I have or have gotten has at least four. Had to buy a switch to plug in gaming systems.

Great monitor for ps4 gaming
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is great for small screen console gaming. I don’t give this 5 stars for only 2 reasons: It’s only 60hz, but for console games, that is perfect, and there are no speakers on it, but I was able to find a very good sound system for it here at Best Buy as well for only 40 dollars.

Great value for an evolutionary improvement
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd been waiting for the 4K UHD monitors to become less expensive while still offering a good visual improvement. This monitor hits the sweet spot of price and quality. Didn't just buy one, bought THREE, including one for my office in the big city.
