Customers are saying

Customers admire the 28” ViewFinity UHD IPS AMD FreeSync with HDR Monitor's picture quality, color vibrancy, and value for its price, frequently praising the HDR capabilities and ease of use. However, some users express concerns regarding the refresh rate and the monitor stand's sturdiness. Additionally, the lack of built-in speakers and the placement of the VESA mount have drawn criticism, as has the input switching mechanism.

brilliant color, but ended up returning and exchanging for 32" model when Best Buy had a sale making the 32" cheaper than 28". If you are going to run native 4K resolution at 100% zoom, go for the bigger display.

As I had to use my two monitors for the new laptop for work at home, I needed new monitor for home computer. I've been a fan of LG IPS monitors for 10+ years, but I could not find a LG with 27+ inch 4K IPS monitor within the budget at that time. This Samsung was an alternative. However, I love it so far. It is large enough for split screen. It provides high quality view for watching Netflix.

I have to say that I LOVE this monitor!!! I bought it because my old 24" 1080p monitor was having problems with waking up from the PC sleeping (I'd have to turn it Off and back ON after 10 seconds) and I thought it was about to die, so I saved what's left of it for PC and Laptop repair work. However, if you don't know, 4K UHD is NOT the same as 4K or a 4K Blu-Ray Player with a 4K Blu-Ray movie disc. 4K UHD is a lesser version of the two UHD versions, but it's not the same as a 4K Blu-Ray disc, which is actually 4K. I researched it before buying... From www.extremetech.com/extreme/174221-no-tv-makers-4k-and-uhd-are-not-the-same-thing Posted on December 14, 2020 at 11:49 am "4K vs. UHD” “The simplest way of defining the difference between 4K and UHD is this: 4K is a professional production and cinema standard, while UHD is a consumer display and broadcast standard. To discover how they became so confused, let’s look at the history of the two terms.” “The term "4K" originally derives from the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), a consortium of motion picture studios that standardized a spec for the production and digital projection of 4K content. In this case, 4K is 4,096 by 2,160 and is exactly four times the previous standard for digital editing and projection (2K, or 2,048 by 1,080). 4K refers to the fact that the horizontal pixel count (4,096) is roughly four thousand. The 4K standard is not just a resolution, either: It also defines how 4K content is encoded. A DCI 4K stream is compressed using JPEG2000, can have a bitrate of up to 250Mbps, and employs 12-bit 4:4:4 color depth.” “Ultra High Definition, or UHD for short, is the next step up from what’s called full HD, the official name for the display resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 [or 1080p]. UHD quadruples that resolution to 3,840 by 2,160. It’s not the same as the 4K resolution made above — and yet almost every TV or monitor you see advertised as 4K is actually UHD. Sure, there are some panels out there that are 4,096 by 2,160, which adds up to an aspect ratio of 1.9:1. But the vast majority are 3,840 by 2,160, for a 1.78:1 aspect ratio.” “Why Not 2160p?” “Now, it’s not as if TV manufacturers aren’t aware of the differences between 4K and UHD. But presumably for marketing reasons, they seem to be sticking with 4K. So as to not conflict with the DCI’s actual 4K standard, some TV makers seem to be using the phrase "4K UHD," though some are just using "4K."” “To make matters more confusing, UHD is actually split in two — there’s 3,840 by 2,160 [this monitor], and then there’s a big step up, to 7,680 by 4,320, which is also called UHD. It’s reasonable to refer to these two UHD variants as 4K UHD and 8K UHD — but, to be more precise, the 8K UHD spec should probably be renamed QUHD (Quad Ultra HD).” [edited to read] “"One store" lists three displays as supporting 4K (4096×2160) explicitly as opposed to UHD, but they’ll cost you. Clearly, these sorts of displays are aimed at the professional set.” There's more, but you can read all of it for yourself, if you want to. So true 4K is 4096x2160 while this lower version of UHD (4K UHD in this monitor) is 3840x2160, and this "4K UHD" monitor has 256 fewer horizontal lines than true 4K. This monitor is fine for my purposes, my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti supports this 4K UHD (and 4K), and Windows 10 set the resolution to the monitor's full 3840x2160, so I'm ready for UHD when/if I come across it. I "assume" that, if I had a Blu-Ray Drive in my PC, a 4K Blu-Ray disc would display as centered with 128 pixel wide black gaps at the top and bottom. I also cannot watch a YouTube video shot at true 4K correctly. However, I also love how the Taskbar has room for more shortcuts and their jump lists than 1080p. And I got it for a great deal in an open box, but then had to buy a $58 12 foot 4K HDMI cable for it, because my PC is further than 6 feet right now. Even still, I highly recommend this monitor!!! You can't beat the Samsung brand and name for quality and long life!!! And 3840x2160 "4K UHD" is the best you'll get in a monitor at a reasonable price.

I LOVE THID DISPLAY!! Easy connection with a modern machine. All items for use are included. This is a large, clear display dripping in accurate color. So pleased with this 28 inch monitor. I solidly recommend this monitor to photo editing, and to any other use. Text is SHARP and near surprising to what I had been using. Only con, and this is with all mentors, the tiny adjustment toggles make it a bit hard to adjust (if needed, it's very good out of the box). I recommend this

I wanted a higher resolution monitor for my MacMini M1 but didn't want to spend the crazy $$ for an Apple display. Researched quite a few 4k monitors for a couple weeks and landed on this one. Hemmed and hawwed a bit until the discount popped up and then bit the lure. Anyway, I was a bit concerned about how well the Mac would scale the text and such, but this turned out to be baseless. The scaling is near perfect and I can't see any issues with font blurring, etc. Having this much real-estate for a computer monitor is AMAZING. I can have so many different apps and windows open now.

Bought this on sale to use as a second monitor for my MacBook. 4K is crisp and pretty and for the sale price, I felt it was a great buy. The *only* things I dislike about the monitor is the circle back and the large stand. I don't understand why they chose this design. Because the large stand took up so much room on my desk, I wanted to mount it. However, due to the circle back, it's a 75x75 vesa only and mounting it is difficult- not impossible, but difficult. I bought a 75x75/100x100 desk mount and it's not a perfect fit but it did work. For these two reasons, I took a star off- otherwise, it would've easily been 5 stars. Nonetheless, the picture is beautiful and I'm pleased with my purchase overall.

This is a good monitor, obviously it’s not going to be buttery smooth like my 144hz scepter which I use paired with this one but it makes up for it in picture quality. I use this monitor to play single player games or watch videos in 4k and my other monitor for multiplayer games. When side by side with my 1080 p monitor the difference in quality is very noticeable. Certainly worth it if your want to stream 4k or play games in 4k.

The specs on this monitor are great. 4K, matte finish, good colors, thin bezels, etc. But the stand is horrible. I've got a monitor stand for placing the monitor at a comfortable height and the stand extends off the sides of every stand I've found. My standing desk doesn't lend itself to a VESA stand, so I'm stuck using a stand that doesn't fully support the massive legs on this thing. It's like somebody decided that a Cylon Basestar makes a good monitor stand. The monitor base stand is roughly 18.5" across, while the monitor is about 25" across. That's about 3/4 as wide for a stand... bonkers.

    28 Inch 4K monitor review

28 inch 4K screen provides crisper images than my old 27 inch 1080p monitors. It is running next to a Samsung UJ59 32 inch 4K monitor which together make my productivity much higher. The only reason I want the 4k capability is to periodically edit some 4k video for my wife an see wants to see what it looks like in 4k. I do notice a little difference between the 32 and 28 4K screens. The 28 is a little sharper image and a little deeper color. I attribute that to one of two reasons. The image is spread over a larger area or I am running it through a j5Create triple display docking station with 2 HDMI ports and the Microsoft display operating systems assigns them two different device drivers.
