It was on sale, so I feel I got a very good deal on it. All in all, I'm very satisfied. One small thing: the monitor stand allows the user to tilt the monitor but not to adjust its height. The bottom of the monitor sits about 4.5" high.

Monitor a bit beyond capabilities of desktop

The sharpness is much better than an HD monitor. What was a surprise is the jerkiness due (I guess) to the refresh rate of 30, which is max for my desktop. The recommended refresh rate of 60 might solve this. There was nothing to prepare me for this issue/requirement. There should have been details online in the description that specified minimum graphics card settings for optimal result. I guess I'll make-do until I'm ready to replace my desktop.

Great monitor-use DisplayPort for max performance

I found out the hard way that the HDMI inputs don't necessarily support 4k at the refresh rate specified and went back and forth for a week with my video card support team to get no resolution. When I plugged in the DisplayPort cable it immediately was recognized and all was great. I highly recommend, if you have a 4k video card, use the DisplayPort input on this monitor. It might have been the cable they provide but once you go into the DisplayPort input all is outstanding. This will frustrate many so I'm hoping to help...

The menu is in a foreign language that I cannot understand, I am sure there is a factory reset for this which if I wanted to keep it, I would try to find. However, the biggest issue I have is that the monitor is in a fixed position that does not work for me. I will probably go up to the 32" 4K monitor for $350 which seems to be a much better value.

I knew what I wanted but didn’t know what to expect. It’s a good first 4K monitor for gaming and I’m content with the display it presents. I get frustrated when attempting to turn it off as the menu sometimes doesn’t pop up but it’s not a deal breaker.

Samsung - UR55 Series 28" IPS 4K UHD Monitor

After buying my son the new Xbox series X for Christmas he informed me a few days later he would now need a new monitor as the one he had was not 4K enabled. After searching several different monitors we came across this one and my son said this Samsung would be perfect. After going on Best Buy to search availability was happy to see they had just went on sale. My son loves this monitor and the graphics when gaming are excellent. The extremely affordable price made the purchase that much better!
