On the one hand, the monitor was brilliant: great picture, tons of resolution. However, after my MacBook went to sleep, whenever I awakened the system by hitting some keys on the keyboard, the screen had an annoying pink background. The only way to eliminate the problem was to force the HDMI to re-connect, by raising the laptop screen or disconnecting the HDMI cable and re-connecting. I have had other HDMI monitors that did not have this problem. It's a problem with all of these monitors and, I suspect, with any monitor that uses the same HDMI chip. For the money, I thought it should work correctly. I returned this item and found another (LG) HDMI monitor that did not have this problem. I should mention that Best Buy was helpful throughout.

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The IPS display panel on this this display is very bright and vibrant, at this time of this writing a monitor that provides 144hz with 4k is extremely expensive so if you’re not looking to spend a lot on a monitor this is the monitor I personally recommend. If this monitor will be used mainly on gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S you’d be extremely satisfied with this monitor. Most games at this state are aiming to upgrade to 60hz. Xbox and PlayStation 5 games do support higher hz displays but they’re not fully capable of running 144hz YET. If you’ll be using this on a PC for gaming just save up for a higher end monitor since PC games practically run at the highest frame rate possible unless you mainly care about a 4k experience. This Monitor does NOT have Crosshair Feature.

I use both HDMI inputs to run two different laptops and have no issues. The extra resolution is great for work where I can now run multiple spreadsheets side by side and still have room to spare. If you deal with a lot of data at once then the extra resolution is a must-have. The joystick/button controller for all of the settings/options takes a little getting used to and you WILL choose something you didn't mean to as some point. Only a minor complaint though.
