Good system for a medium size room.

The sub woofer did not give the bass sound that I was expecting, therefore I exhaled for a more powerful system. It was very simple to setup, therefore if I had a smaller room I would consider buying it again.

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q70R Soundbar. I am very sorry that you were not completely happy with the bass performance.
There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize the potential of the included wireless subwoofer:
1) Using the WOOFER button on the remote, adjust the volume of the subwoofer between -6 to +6 by pressing the button up or down.
2) Adjust the bass control by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (gear icon) on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. Then adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
For precise audio adjustments, use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.

I will never buy another sound bar without it. The sub weighs almost double of all other Samsung subwoofers and it shows as it is exceptional

The sound really makes you feel like your there when adjusted the right way. I paid less during the Month of November cause they had it on sale but I would of paid full price if I had to!

It’s all about the bass

Soundbar integrates with amazon Alexa with some quick work and smart things. Sound is great from the wall mount; wish bass was louder and a bit more pronounced. For the sub woofer size, you can’t go wrong with this purchase though. I did not give it 5 stars because the price is a bit more.

The sound is very good and puts you well immersed into the viewing content. Surround is very convincing stand alone, but the add-on rear speaker system you can add optionally is a must have upgrade to take the bar to the next level. The sound is crisp and bright with good dialog in the center channel. The bass is very powerful and defined. I usually listen to most media in Adaptive mode but like the Standard mode for music, which sound awesome when blu-toothing from my phone. The surround setting is greatest for the movies unless you have media with ATMOS and make appropriate settings changes on your TV, soundbar, etc. ATMOS is an awesome sound to behold, but you have to go source to soundbar HDMI unless you don't mind a little quality loss using the ARC HDMI port. The only minor annoyance I have experienced is lip sync issues. It's not on all programming all the time but you can also adjust this on the soundbar itself and or your TV, if available. I use this soundbar on a Samsung Q70 65" tv.

Overall Good Value with Atmos

I like the integration with SmartThings. It was a bit tedious to get the firmware updated and was unsure if it updated properly, but everything seems to be working well now. Tested Atmos through Xbox and it works fine. Not bad for a Sound bar setup.

He likes LOUD... me, not so much but I try to appreciate. He was a professional smart home designer so I know he knows quality sound. If he's happy with it.... you can be assured it's high quality and worth the purchase.

Amazing sound with needing some tweaks

So you hear it, then lips move with about a 150ms delay. Restarting the set up normally fixes it but...at a $800 I have to have high expectations. Unsynced sound is pretty unacceptable

The audio delay you are experiencing is source-dependent (PCM or Dolby, for example) and can be cumulative over time. This means lip-sync issues can appear with some content (such as streaming content) and not others, becoming more noticeable over time. Thus, restarting the setup appears to be fixing it.
