Have this setup with Samsung 75 inch Qled tv. Had to mess with the settings a bit and then a reset to get audio to sync correctly with TV but been working great. Makes me want to buy another for the Bedroom TV

Good but my old Samsung was better.

Soundbar easy to setup Dolby atmos only works if I run my Apple TV through the soundbar and back to the tv so I don’t use it since I use the arc port. Anyway sometimes the voices aren’t real clear so have to turn it up then when music or action scene get way to loud. Best setting is adaptive the standard sound is horrible even tweaking it with Samsung app. So decent soundbar but not great in my opinion.

Thank you for purchasing Samsung's HW-Q700A Soundbar and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the connectivity and sound quality issues you are experiencing with your new soundbar. To stream Atmos content, the Q700A Soundbar will need to be connected to your TV's HDMI ARC port. If your soundbar is connected to a non-Samsung TV, please change the TV’s eARC output setting to “Automatic” – this will allow Atmos to play on the HDMI ARC port.
In addition to using different sound modes, there are a couple things you can try to improve dialogue from your soundbar:
1) Increase the level of the center channel. Repeatedly press the Sound Control button on the remote (gear icon) to select CENTER LEVEL, then use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the level.
2) Try changing frequencies to enhance dialogue. Press and hold the Sound Control button on the remote for 5 seconds then select the frequency band to adjust. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust the level. Available frequency bands are 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz.

okay speaker system with some flaws

For one, I was thinking about upgrading our TV next year and Samsung seems to be the leading option. I wanted a speaker that would natively work with it. Unfortunately, we have a Sony TV right now. While it's a great TV we can't utilize the room calibration and symphony features of the speaker. I also wanted a speaker system with Dolby Atmos support. I've had great experiences with it in the past and definitely want to use it going forward. We don't have the rear speakers to go along with this so the virtualize surroundsound is OK at best. Somethings sound like they're coming from different directions but for the most part, it just sounds better with a higher fidelity. Eventually we will be getting the rear speakers to go along with it hopefully that greatly enhances the surround effect. I haven't noticed much coming from the upward firing speakers so I'm not sure if they are doing that good of a job. The subwoofer is a little bit too strong. You can go from 0 to -6 and then jump all the way down to -12. Unfortunately, the best level for us would probably be -8 but obviously, that is just not an option. I would like a linear scale going from -6 to -12. Overall the speaker system is pretty good.

You can try optimizing audio performance for your specific content by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME PRO, or ADAPTIVE SOUND
You can further adjust TREBLE and BASS via the SOUND CONTROL button (looks like a gear symbol).
