Awesome Soundbar

Both are spectacular. The soundbar intergrates seamlessly with my Samsung TV. The sound is crazy. The bass will shake your house. I could not be happier.

My purpose for buying this is to have a clear audio when watching tv and it delivers very well. It is a well designed product and looks and sounds great. Price is also within my budget.

Awesome upgrade

I got it specifically to play nice with my Samsung tv. Again, CEC is annoying sometimes ARC doesn’t always work and you have to reset things every now and then. But that’s CEC and ARCs fault, not the system.

The TV and sound bar, although installed together, offer about a half second disparity between the screen and the actual sound. Need Geek Squad to fix ASAP!!

Thank you for purchasing the HW-Q700A soundbar and for your review. We value your feedback regarding the sound synchronization issue you are experiencing.
If the video on the TV and audio from the soundbar are not synchronized, press the SOUND CONTROL button on the soundbar remote, until you see AUDIO SYNC on the display. You can then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.
You can also try the below to minimize the delay:
1) Connect the source directly to the Soundbar’s HDMI input, then connect the Soundbar to the HDMI ARC input on the TV.
2) On the TV, set the Sound Delay level to 0. Home > Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay: “0”
3) Change the audio format to PCM on both the source device and the TV.

Okay, but needs connectivity updates

Soundbar difference

It really makes a difference and certainly adds to the overall experience. I purchased as part of bundle, so I thought with those discounts, it was worth it.

It is a solid setup without satellite rear speakers (which you can add). Use the eARC capabilities to make good use of all of its features.

Fantastic value

Thank you for your review of this Samsung HW-Q700A Soundbar System. We appreciate your feedback regarding experienced connection issues. If available, we recommend using the HDMI connection to your TV.
Connecting your soundbar to a TV through HDMI will provide the best audio and user experience, often eliminating any connection or delay issues you may be experiencing. There are 2 ways to connect your soundbar with HDMI: you can connect a device to your soundbar (like a Blu-ray player) and then connect the soundbar to the TV, or you can use HDMI ARC. The first method will give you the best possible sound from external devices you regularly use. ARC is the way to go if you want great sound from streaming apps on your TV and a soundbar.
If connected via Bluetooth to the TV and the soundbar is dropping out intermittently there are a few things to check before performing any troubleshooting:
1) The maximum wireless signal transmission distance is about 33 ft.
2) If there is a device that uses the same wireless frequency near the Soundbar, interference may cause some sound interruption.
4) Check all the sources on the soundbar. If the audio is dropping while watching TV it could be an issue with the broadcast.
5) Also, please be sure you have the latest firmware update. You can update your firmware by using a USB device. You can find the update on the product page of your HW-Q700A on the Samsung website.

Disappointing soundbar! I returned mine.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite all of the reviews and positive write-ups, the Samsung HW-Q700A just doesn't live up to the hype. I'll start with the positives: the build quality and overall fit and finish are great. The soundbar looks and feels solid and has a nice overall appearance. The subwoofer's appearance is a little underwhelming but it does perform well for its size. Now, for where this really falls short: the tuning is really inadequate. It's tuned more like a traditional home theater where the subwoofer is only intended to carry the LFE while the front and center carry the mids through the highs. The problem with this is that the soundbar is incapable of carrying midbass and struggles with any of the lower frequencies. The result is that you're left with a significant gap between the sub and soundbar. There's a distinct loss of the lower midrange and the overall sound just feels hollow. This is particularly noticeable in the dialogue, especially with any deeper voice as well as any of the boomer special effects. For the price, I expected more. Ultimately I returned this and went with the JBL 5.1 soundbar with a 10" subwoofer. For $200 less at regular price, the JBL blows the Samsung away! Sure, it doesn't have a built-in voice assistance, but if that's important, I'd suggest getting an Amazon Fire TV or even an Echo Dot and let the soundbars stay in their lane. Samsung still has a long way to go to catch up to the better audio brands. Unless you're just looking for better integration with your Samsung TV, I'd highly recommend looking at something else.

Extremely disappointing on the time to receive

Atmos at an amazing price

The Atmos sound is mindblowing. Make sure you get the proper HDMI cable to get Atmos. It does not work with any other cables.

I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties with the connection of the wireless subwoofer, and that the troubleshooting steps you have attempted did not resolve the issue.
Please know, the maximum transmission distance of the main unit’s wireless signal is about 32.8 ft. but may vary depending on your operating environment. If a steel-concrete or metallic wall is between the main unit and the wireless subwoofer, the system may not operate at all because the wireless signal cannot penetrate metal.
Your issue may be caused by wireless interference. When there is a wireless device near the Soundbar, the wireless connection between the Subwoofer and Surround Speaker could become unstable. This will affect the quality of audio output.
For optimal listening performance, make sure that the area around the wireless subwoofer and the Wireless Receiver Module is clear of any obstructions.

Needs work
